This is such an amazing and lowkey spot for breakfast. They have an extensive and beautiful selection of desserts + a delicious assortment of sandwiches, salads, and bowls for a savory meal. The chefs are so talented and the wait staff are friendly and professional. The design of the space is reminiscent of classical French eateries with jazz and classic music from the 40s.

O was a little disappointed with this one. I enjoyed my food and the company but didn't care much for the service. It was vibrant and busy on a Sunday. . My friend bought the macarons to go and she loved them. Not on the top of my list to return.

Really fresh bread options and had a delicious tomato soup. I have been to the Southpark and The Bowl locations - I think the food is good but usually is so busy the wait is very long. A bit on the pricey side in comparison to other nearby options especially at The Bowl location

This is a new bakery in the Ballantyne area. You can park in the share parking lots or street parking. They offer a variety of breakfast items and pastries. They also sale some of the items the items they use in their baked goods like the granola, honey, etc. The place is clean and the staff are friendly for now. I quite enjoyed my parfait. I will come back to try the cakes specifically I was eyeing the coconut one. The prices are similar to a French bakery. Hope you enjoy.

I came here yesterday after having frequented the Winston Salem one many times since its opening. It was fun to check out the original spot! I ordered an egg sandwich with ham and provolone and a seasonal pumpkin macaron. The sandwich in the case was on a regular round roll but mine came on a croissant which was a nice surprise! It was steaming hot but really tasty and just the late morning breakfast that I needed. The macaron was tiny but tasty too. The actual shop itself is relatively small; there is ample seating in the middle atrium section between all the other shops (roosters, a gift store etc). Decor is cozy and chic. Service was fast and friendly, and plenty of parking available in the lot. I'll definitely be back!

French connoisseurs look no further, because Copain hospitality has got us covered in all your bread and pastry cravings. From flakey, crispy croissants that are freshly baked everyday to the artisan country and sourdough bread, this bakery will serve you the authenticity and quality. Copain has three locations: South Park, Ballantyne and Winston Salem. I have checked them all out and happy to report the selection of pastries and bread are all fully stocked and consistent across all three locations.

I enjoyed my first visit to this delightful French bakery. I decided to try a food item before going for dessert. I ordered spinach and feta slice of quiche and a hot tea. Inside is nice with small tables to sit at also additional sitting on the outside in the indoor atrium. Then after finishing I ordered my treats to go. I got chocolate crumple cookie, salted caramel cream puff, apple hand pie, and double chocolate eclair. I loved everything but my favorites were the cookie and the eclair. I highly recommend trying them and I am going back to sample some other things especially the bread.

Been obsessed with their butter croissants for years! Every time I visit Charlotte- I make sure to make a pit stop here. I love their croissants and their pimento cheese. Service is always friendly thought at times seems uncoordinated and you always have to check that your bag is packed with all of your items. It's a nice stores offering other simple items and such. The "mall" or market space is odd, tired looking and wished they had their own storefront.

Ordered: Lavender Latte and Almond Croissant. Service: We ordered at the counter and received our food delivered to our table. Atmosphere: Located inside of "The Pavilion" this bakery has plenty of places to sit within the storefront or just outside it in the pavilion (indoor). Overall, I would like to recommend that you make a quick stop to Copain for a quick breakfast or snack. The location is convenient for parking and has plenty of places for you to sit and relax. My Almond croissant was delicious, and my lavender latte had just the perfect amount of lavender flavor.

I was in the SouthPark area and wanted something sweet. When I did a search, Copain popped up. It's in a plaza connected to Roosters, which makes it a little easier to find. There's plenty of parking close the bakery. It appears they also have a restaurant, but I didn't try it. I can't really speak to the service because I walked up to the counter to order. I have to admit I haven't been impressed by a lot of the bakeries in Charlotte, but I'm hard to impress when it comes to baked goods. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Copain. The bakery looks exactly like a little French bakery. There are a lot of options, including various breads and baked goods. I didn't try any of the breads but did get a chocolate chip cookie and salted caramel tart. They both were amazing! You can tell that they use quality ingredients in their baked goods. The chocolate chip cookie was undoubtedly the best chocolate chip cookie that I've had in Charlotte and I've tried quite a few! It tastes a lot like the Jacque Torres chocolate chip cookie, with just the perfect amount of chocolate and sea salt on top! I did order a brownie for my coworker, I tasted it and it was good, but wasn't great, especially compared to the cookie!

Veggie quiche, and Americano. A perfect bakery and beautiful setting. Cant wait to go back. Very well done, Copain

When I walked in the door, I was blown away. Beautiful design of the room, setting was comfortable and inviting, and we didn't want to leave. If you have a chance to go, please go and go hungry...you'll love this place!

Walked in and was surprised by the amount of seating available in the pavilion that felt open air with the big skylights. Entering the bakery portion it was unclear which direction the line started and I didn't see a big menu to read but there were paper menus available near the register. I perused the pastry case and was impressed by multiple treats. They did have a couple gluten free options. The gluten free chocolate chunk cookie was clearly labeled GF. Then I saw a clearly labeled GF apple cinnamon bread loaf on the table in the center of the bakery. When I approached the register I was told the Apple cinnamon muffin was also GF but I didn't remember seeing that labeled in the case. I also ordered a latte. The GF cookie was delicious, soft and flavorful. The latte was good, the pumpkin flavor was very subtle so I would have liked a bit more. I brought the loaf home and enjoyed it later. It was moist and light and the flavor was subtle.

Cute little bakery . I got 2 pastries which was delicious. The pumpkin scone was delicious. The prices are on the higher side. But the packaging was nice too. Definitely worth checking out.

I know I made it look very pretty in my photos, but don't be fooled. Here is the complete review. We found the green tomatoes bland and appeared to have been frozen before being prepared. The "Gravy Train" with the mini biscuit was inedible. The gravy itself was OK. Nothing special, not one of the three were "great." But the mini biscuits were terrible, hard, dense chunks of dough. I ate one of them and discarded the rest. The "Chicken Ditch the Waffle" was equally terrible. Whatever they did to turn the biscuit into "fake" French toast is a 100% fail. They were as dense and unappealing as the mini biscuits. The chicken itself was fine. If I was only rating the chicken I'd probably give it a 3.5. The best dish was actually the "GOAT." It was served with a Standard biscuit which we thought was still too dense and dry. I recommend finding an independent restaurant that serves real, "from scratch" food. I should point out that the service crew in the dining room who delivered the food as well as provided cleanup and assistance, were exceptional. They were friendly, courteous, and focused on customer service. I'm sure they deserve more than they are being paid. It was obvious many of them were spanish-speaking immigrants. Not everyone in the restaurant treated them with the respect and gratitude they deserve. Here's the detail of our order from their menu. I like the Spanish Omelet keto-style. Instead of a biscuit and grits, you get a half of an avocado (sliced) and a roasted tomato. The omelet is always full of flavor, and I love it. My husband's favorite is their White Chocolate Bread Pudding Pancakes, with bacon ($2 extra). Don't let the name deter you--these pancakes aren't too thick. They are slightly chewy, and the white chocolate whiskey sauce is amazing. He rarely uses the syrup! Ruby's coffee is always good and strong, and their service is great, no matter who you get. Unfortunately, it was a bit underwhelming. It was smaller than I expected and didn't really resemble an omelet. It was a little messy and slightly runny for my taste. On the side, I added a single pancake and a bowl of grits, both of which were delicious though. I had a good experience and will definitely be back. I just wish the omelet had been prepared a little better.
