This is the dealer photo of the S10 at Durand Chevy 7-23-14. Truck was spent and the staff was unfriendly. Will not visit again.
    Dustin K.

Went to Durand Chevy yesterday to look at the green 1998 Chevy S10 with a low 60,000 miles they had for $4k on the lot. I got there and there was a sold tag on the truck. Oldest trick in the book. They claimed that after a month of the truck sitting on the lot, they now had a $100 deposit from another customer just 5 minutes ago. Would have been nice to get a phone call so I would know that I was wasting my time. Sal the salesman began to give me attitude claiming it wasn't his fault that I hadn't received a phone call about the truck having a deposit. I drove 1:30 from Maine to look at the truck. The other customer had "gone to check financing with their bank." Well it was almost 5 o'clock so probably not likely. They called the customer and of course could not get an answer. Right. Sal the salesman was quite unapologetic. He told me he was sorry I wasted my time and that he had nothing else to show me, walking away without a thank you or a hand shake. Mike argued with me over the date of my inquiry on the vehicle. I had entered it the day before and he claimed more than once that it was over 2 weeks ago. I had still given the truck a quick look over and what I found was disturbing. When I asked Sal the salesman about the rust and issues I found, he told me the truck had been driven in Mass winters which are more treacherous than Maine winters. Sal washed his hands from the truck, saying he took it on trade and that's all he knows. If you have a wholesale quality vehicle, sell it wholesale. Otherwise you are just as bad as any other Craigslist con-artist. Within 5 minutes I found numerous issues with the vehicle. The sales team claimed that the truck was in mint mechanical condition, having being recently inspected by their service department. Quickly looking over the 1998 S10 I found... Fairly minimal body rust for a truck from NE although the frame and it's cross members as well as shackles and hangers were very rusted. The body had rust bubbles on each wheel well and the rocker and fender bottom behind the front tires were rotted on both sides. The rear passenger side cab mount was rotted out and you could physically lift or lower the truck off of the frame. Hey Durand! This is a safety issue! It will not pass inspection! The battery in the truck was 5 years old and the alternator appeared to be older as well, if not original. That will leave you stranded. The front main seal on the block was leaking oil all over the bottom of the motor as well as on the frame and the ground below the truck. Wow another reason this truck would not pass inspection. The engine oil was old and hadn't even been changed. The truck had been smoked in and smelled, with burn holes in the seat. It had been through a hail storm and was peppered with dents on it's hood and roof. If I could find these issues with the truck after 5 minutes in the lot I can only imagine what I would find after a month on the road. If that is the quality of vehicle your service department can push out, find some new techs and raise your safety standards a bit. After seeing the heap of a truck they called a $4000 vehicle, I let them know that they were selling an unsafe vehicle to an unknowing buyer and I left. On the way out I said thanks for nothing to the sales crew, to which the sales manager replied, you're welcome. At least he is honest about the expectations at Durand Chevy. BUYER BEWARE. Especially when buying a used car. I'd recommend having a separate shop inspect the vehicle before signing any paperwork at this shoddy dealership.

Big Chevrolet fan and Durand is a great local dealership. I'd have no reason to go elsewhere.

Spoke with Sales man Jeff B. Later that day went out for a test drive and then over to GM Paul, for a quick and painless process of paperwork. Few days later stoped over to pick it up! Inspection sticker with service was an easy and quick! I have dealt with Tucks Trucks years ago when I purchased new Fisher Plow for one of our works truck. Another painless process. I can't say enough about the pleasure to deal with this team for a new vehicle purchase. I will be sure to purchase here again! Two weeks for a truck that was already paid for. When I went to buy, they told me I'd be able to drive home with it that same day and then the live started. And then they decided not to return my phone calls. The staff had no answers, no timeline, no update... nothing. Every time I asked, they said they didn't know when I'd get my own truck. Zero communication, zero urgency, and honestly, zero respect for the customer. If you value your time, your money, or basic customer service, avoid Tuck's Trucks. They completely dropped the ball from start to finish. And it's not like I bought a used car I bought a brand new 2026 Denali GMC. I wire them $101,374. And it took them two weeks to get me my truck.

I ordered skidplates for my 2014 jeep Cherokee and had them shipped to me. Wow what a mistake. They sent my have steel plates with no padding in a cardboard box!! Maybe they were used plates and they wanted to hide the fact they were selling used merchandise? I don't know about that but its possible based on the condition of the product I received. The product I received was an absolute mess. Some of the plates were bent and dented. Around half of the nuts and bolts were missing. Honestly none of this would have been a problem if they had taken care of me like an honest company would. Instead they offered to give me 15 bucks off of the hundreds and hundreds of dollars I spent? How is 15 bucks suppose to make up for sending a possibly used and definitely damaged product that I cant use? Then they wanted me to pay to ship back the possibly used and definitely unusable product I already paid to have them ship to me. FYI they do business on the internet under a couple different names. One is buymoparpartsnow. They should change the name to buyusedandbrokenmoparpartsnow . See what I did there? Just the fact they need to use an alias to do business on the internet should have been a sigh of how crooked they could be. Good luck buying a car from them I'm sure their salesman are as honest as their parts department.

We spend "a little" on regular service, so we don't spend "a lot" on neglected maintenance or unwelcome surprises. We're fortunate that the Toyota Prius and the BMW X3 + their predecessors, have all behaved reliably without any complaints. The earlier horseless carriages of Honda Accords, Toyotas, and minivans never complained and thrived with Maurizio's care. On a couple of occasions, Maurizio's keen eyes and ears identified and diagnosed potential wear items before we, civilians, recognized them. More for less! He demonstrates his automotive skills every day with his race car driver experience, excellent judgment, and clear analysis and explanations before, during, and after a service appointment. His MC Racing shop is miles ahead of the "who-is-on- first" guessing game and high prices of branded auto dealers. He's a magician, too, as he remains reasonably priced below their outrageous fees. We drive carefully to preserve our cars, and they've NEVER required maintenance or replacement outside the normal schedules and normal wear of brakes, fluids, tires, belts, electronics, etc. When my wife's BMW (new to us the summer of '25) was bumped on the rear bumper by a careless driver, Maurizio repaired it so it gleamed and was "better than new." As a professional race car driver with decades of skilled service, Maurizio's expertise and knowledge are invaluable. The pleasant drive from Needham to Stow (and return) at any time of year is an additional bonus.
