Since Jay Looney took over, with same great mechanics, it continued its already excellent quality work and personal service approach ---and improved on it!

We spend "a little" on regular service, so we don't spend "a lot" on neglected maintenance or unwelcome surprises. We're fortunate that the Toyota Prius and the BMW X3 + their predecessors, have all behaved reliably without any complaints. The earlier horseless carriages of Honda Accords, Toyotas, and minivans never complained and thrived with Maurizio's care. On a couple of occasions, Maurizio's keen eyes and ears identified and diagnosed potential wear items before we, civilians, recognized them. More for less! He demonstrates his automotive skills every day with his race car driver experience, excellent judgment, and clear analysis and explanations before, during, and after a service appointment. His MC Racing shop is miles ahead of the "who-is-on- first" guessing game and high prices of branded auto dealers. He's a magician, too, as he remains reasonably priced below their outrageous fees. We drive carefully to preserve our cars, and they've NEVER required maintenance or replacement outside the normal schedules and normal wear of brakes, fluids, tires, belts, electronics, etc. When my wife's BMW (new to us the summer of '25) was bumped on the rear bumper by a careless driver, Maurizio repaired it so it gleamed and was "better than new." As a professional race car driver with decades of skilled service, Maurizio's expertise and knowledge are invaluable. The pleasant drive from Needham to Stow (and return) at any time of year is an additional bonus.

The Acton Ford was the only one available for a soonest appointment for service on 5/13/25. It was amazing, how you could book your service online through their website. It was also convenient that they are working closely with Avis Rental. When I dropped off my vehicle for repairs, I immediately had no worries on how to get to work the next day. The employees at Acton Ford were amazing, quick, and professional. I had my vehicle back on 5/17/25. Avis drove me back to Acton Ford after I paid and dropped off the car rental.

I brought my car in this time because my independent mechanic doesn't have the equipment to do this repair. I was pleasantly surprised. The people in the Acton Ford service department were very nice and easy to work with. They answered all my questions. And once I gave the go-ahead they were prompt in doing the work. My one problem with them was the price, specifically the price of the replacement steering rack. They charged me $3K, but I was able to find the exact same thing online for less that $1900. But they wouldn't come down on the price. They swore to me that their markup on their cost is modest. Where did the extra $1100 go? I would go back here in the future for service that I can't get done at my independent garage.

I absolutely love this place and recommend it to everyone who has a beetle. I have a 2000…read moreVolkswagen Beetle. Very few places will work on my car. I was taking my car to East Main Auto because they were close and worked on my car. They had no idea what they were doing and since I am a young girl who knows absolutely nothing about cars they kept replacing parts that didn't need to be replaced just because they were expensive. I paid 1500$+ there and they did not fix anything. The final time I went there they charged me 1000$+ and told me that they can't fix my car. Well, since they didn't fix anything that I needed my car broke one day. My transmission wouldn't change gears and was literally a bomb that was just building pressure and heat. I could only go 25 MPH! I heard about beetle bug from one of my friends and called him up and he took my car. The guy was very nice and read all my lights on my dashboard and told me exactly what was wrong. It was a Friday so I couldn't get my car fixed that night because they were closed on weekends. I left it there until Monday and beetle bug fixed it! It was a mass air flow sensor that needed to be replaced. That sensor fixed my turbo too that the other place claimed to be a break booster. Beetle bug also made sure other things were fixed too so I wouldn't have another problem like that. I also had a problem the other day as well. I was driving home from school and not even 5 minutes down the road my check engine light started blinking. I was freaking out but my dad suggested to try driving it at least to my house. I started driving and 10 seconds later the check engine light started blinking again and a burning rotten egg smell started coming from my car. I had to drive to the closest gas station that would take foreign cars and they told me they won't even read my light for another hour and a half. I called beetle bug and he told me to come in and he will do it right away. He told me if it was something major he wouldn't be able to fix it right then. I drove it there and he read my lights and found out it was just a coil pack. He put it as his first priority and fixed it in less than an hour. I cannot put into words how greatful I am for this place and I hope everyone goes to him. This place is my savior

I found Beetle Bug III, specializing in VW with a single but glowing review from Jan L. On the strength of that review I took my car there for diagnosis and repair; I'm very glad I did. Tad listened to my description of the problem, asked some good questions then said that he suspected the plastic water pump impeller had broken. I asked him to check the brakes while he had the car. He called me later to confirm that was the problem. The repair was done and he called when the car was ready. When I picked up the car, he showed me the damaged impeller, he explained my brakes had about 5000 miles left on them and also pointed out that my front tires would need to be replaced soon. He concluded the transaction by stating that their work was guaranteed. Tad and his brother run an excellent shop; I highly recommend them. Tad does it again! The timing belt broke as I was driving to work on Friday morning. I called Tad and explained the problem, he was concerned that one of the systems powered by the belt might have seized to cause the failure and that it might be more than just a problem with the belt. I took my car to him after work on Friday expecting to have to leave it for a few days. When I arrived he came right out to look at the car; he took out the broken belt and checked all the pulleys, none appeared to be seized. He walked away saying he was going to see if he had a replacement belt in stock. He came back a few minutes later with a new belt in hand and some tools and proceeded to install it. A short time later he was done! It was the first time I had had my car repaired while I waited.
