I've seen this place many times on walking by in the hood. It's one of those places that adds to the list of even more vegan to vegandale. Is it of interest to me in general nope but thought why not try something new. The place is pleasant enough and very clean. it's a contrast to most establishments in parkdale. It was okay. I don't know what else to say. There was very little that pulled me in to want to say I have to go back in there unless like Evelyn A. I had that vegan friend in from out of town.

It's Monday and I was feeling a bit down so I decided to head to my happy place... Vegandale. While I was walking there I noticed that this place was opened so I decided to pay them a visit. This place is a vegan Danish bakery (yes pun intended!) Copenhagen is the capital city of Denmark, I just Googled it. This has to be one of the fanciest cafes I have ever been to. Fancy furniture. Fancy Chandeliers. Fancy glassware and silverware. Classic fancy music playing in the background. What I'm trying to say is that you should bring your date here and not your laptop! Great drinks and friendly service. Reasonable prices. Yet another great business that is part of Vegandale. Keep up the good work.

I'm so torn about this vegan bakery. I live in Parkdale and really have a very low patience for all things Vegandale. I've managed to avoid them since it was clear they cared more about stunt marketing than the hood, but everyone has that vegan friend who they love, and this particular friend was in town and we were walking by. Why shouldn't they have delicious baked goods, y'know? We popped in here for lunch and a to go box of their sweets. He was very impressed with their treats, we both liked the decor, and in the end we both thought it was pretty overpriced. Will I be returning? Probably not. Can I admit they do offer something special? Maybe.

This place seems very high end for me! Lucky my cool co worker was flipping out the credit card for this one! Seriously I went... "WHAT," when they told us the price.. But my what turned into a yum yum who cares how much money we spending when i bit into the deserts that we purchased.. Quite possibly the best vegan cookie I have ever eaten and the other dessert stuff, was incredible too! We just got a variety box, and yep I had to leave them at my co workers house cause, I would have eaten them all! I also had a VEGAN TUNA open faced sandwich that actually reminded me of my youth... aka the last time I ate a real tuna sandwich! It was spot on, on the taste buds! The decor of this place screams 40-60 year old high class women, but I felt at home scarfing my face down!

To preface, I haven't actually gone into the bakery for a sit down meal or treat, but I did recently order a birthday cake for my mom for pick up, and it was AMAZING. If you're a fan of dense, moist, delicious vegan cakes, you should go to Copenhagen Vegan Cafe and Bakery. This cake was a huge hit with my non-vegan parents and my vegan partner + myself. Seriously, I've tried a lot of vegan cakes from a couple different places and this was absolutely my FAVOURITE. Reasonably priced too! I'm REALLY REALLY looking forward to having an opportunity and the time to actually sit down in the bakery and try a couple different treats.

It is very beautiful and the presentation is well done. The food also tasted decent and it was nice trying Danish food. I had the Danish Pâté Sandwich (vegetable pâté, braised red cabbage, vegan Danish Remoulade, dill on sourdough multi-grain toast) and an amoretto ball, really nice flavours. I mean it's great that this cafe gives variety and something different for vegan options in the city. However the service I had here was slow and put me off.

Discovered this place when driving by on our way to brunch. We decided to check it out for dessert. The decor, although pleasant, is a bit mismatched in my opinion. There are way to many tables crammed into a small store so walking space is very limited. Anyway, in terms of food they have a decent array of baked good and confectionaries. All of which are vegan. I also saw they have a brunch and breakfast menu, which seems to have meat. Not sure what happened there. We decided to share a Tiramisu. It was good, but something was lacking in the flavour. I cannot comment on the rest of the item. Bottom line is I would probably not return.

Finding dairy-free or vegan desserts can be a challenge... but to come across an entire café full of them? Oh, I'm down! For me it is rare to be able to walk into a café knowing nothing is off limits, so I really appreciate that here. They have a wide variety of desserts... I was so focused on the sweet stuff but they apparently have a savoury selection too. I didn't find the prices higher than what you'd pay for a slice of cake or cupcake at other dessert places or a café like Second Cup, so I think the prices are fine. The desserts tasted good... The red velvet cake and cheesecake were just good , but the amaretto balls were most enjoyable. I was so happy that I even had an opportunity to indulge. The decor was absolutely lovely as well... such a cute place. Next time I will stay and sit down to eat. Please support this place, whether you're vegan or not... the employees seem lovely and it is a really nice café.

Tuna sandwich, eggs benedict, BLT, and my mocha.

First of all, this place is so cute. It's charming, and the decor is spot on. The pastry case is full of adorable and tantalizing pastries. I went here with my girlfriend and her Mum for lunch, so I opted for the tuna sandwich, and they got eggs Benedict and the BLT. The thing I have missed the most since going vegetarian is definitely tuna. Chickpea tuna doesn't compare, and I was so blown away with my sandwich!! It tasted just like tuna. The bacon on the BLT was also freaky- it tasted and looked just like bacon. The eggs Benedict weren't quite eggy, but overall I was very impressed. I took away a star because the portion sizes were comically small. My tuna sandwich was two tiny triangle points of toast. I'm still hungry, but can't justify spending $10 to get another order of them.

    Viking breakfast

M and I trekked here for brunch on Sunday afternoon (it was like 1pm). We parked in a green P parking lot and crossed the seat to eat this bakery. If you've been to vegan danish then you kind of know what to expect. They are very very similar. We split the Viking breakfast which had potties, vegan sausage "eggs" on a biscuit with bechamel sauce and a side of waffles. I found the biscuits very crumbly. I really liked the waffles much more at this location then at vegan danish. The staff aren't as friendly. It was pretty steady with traffic but you could still find places to sit. I don't think the drive downtown for brunch was worth it, but if I was in the area I would definitely pop in to pick something up.

We went back and tried their chocolate coconut cake. Mouthwateringly delicious!! We also had their sandwich blt, it was satisfying. Can't get the cake out of my mind, going to go back for some more!! Perfect spot for a date night

My favourite - Matcha Green Tea
    Ziad E.

Ordered the arugula, tomatoes-cheese melt, and it was good for a vegan item. Not memorable, however. The atmosphere is conducive for studying and/or working. My go to is a matcha green tea latte and it's always spot on. If you want to immerse yourself in a plethora of vegan eats, coupled with intense classical music playing in the background, then that's your place! Fireplace included.

I went around 5pm on a weekday. Had a $10 martini (HH price), half dozen oysters, endive salad, French onion soup, and their crème brûlée... ate everything. Crunchy from the nuts, crispy from the endives, sweet dressing with some chili flakes to wrap it all together. Didn't lick my plate, but I did lick my fork all the way to my fingers 4) hearty French onion soup. Wasn't too salty. Good amount of bread and cheese. Fabulous. Comforting 5) ended it all with crème brûlée. Not the smoothest, but they had vanilla bean in it and a nice crust on top, so I'm not complaining.

We arrived shortly after they opened, the aesthetic is eclectic and simple. The seating arrangements are comfortable and available indoors and outdoors. We both got their classic breakfast with double smoked bacon; I opted for a beer ginger drink and my friend ordered a chai latte with oat milk. She really enjoyed her drink, and it was a decent size. Whereas my beer and ginger juice was delicious yet on the small side, especially since ice cubes took up a lot of space. As for the meal itself, the eggs with crème fraîche was out of this world! They were the most delicious eggs I've ever eaten. I wish the portion was slightly bigger. The double smoked bacon was perfectly cooked and not greasy. It was thick and not overly salty. They fill up the rest of the plate with 3-4 slices of sourdough and I appreciated that they butters the toast and offered us jam. Overall the plate was fresh and delicious. I' savoured each bite. The service was good, attentive and friendly. Towards the end of our meal, it was getting busy and the noise volume increased, so just a heads up to anyone who doesn't like loud spaces. The music was on point though and I can imagine on a warmer day, the patio would also be a cool vibe to experience. One note I feel is needed to mention is the bathroom. I almost missed the steps descending down to the bathroom because the area is poorly lit. This is a safety issue. Secondly, if you're tall like me, the stalls are very tight and claustrophobic. I barely had any room in the stall and it was very uncomfortable; be careful if you're bringing your purse/phone cause there's no space and I could easily see how things can drop in the toilet. I would highly recommend the business investing into this a little more.
