This is by far the WORST restaurant I've ever been to. Service is terrible. Our third waitress finally brought us a glass of water after 35 minutes of waiting and NEVER came back to refill or ask if we wanted anything else. Checked this place out for the first time: Sat at the bar last night. Probably won't be back. Girls don't care about women sitting at the bar. My guy friend got multiple refills before I got one. I ended up getting two beers and after 25 minutes of trying to get a bartenders attention for another one I decided to leave. I went there to see Jim Norton on Thursday. I had a fun time and the food was good. Staffing was polite and the layout out of the place to awesome. I would definitely go back again, when a big name comedian comes. The pretzel on the menu is big enough to feed more than one person. I'm really glad that a comedy cellar open. read more

CB Live is such a fun place! Great food, drink, entertainment and service. CB offers a variety of entertainment options throughout the month. Ryan and Lizzie on the management staff are awesome! We have also had server Kimberly a few times now, she is so friendly, fast, attentive and even remembers us with each visit. Can't wait to go back for karaoke with The Band in two weeks. read more

The worst food ever. My friends were served under cook chicken wings and soon became sick, leaving our event early. The nachos had this queer tasting cheese batter on them. Horrible cocktails with little to no alcohol in them. Rude general manager who decided to seat people in our reserved section. If you eat here, plan on getting your stomach pumped. My wife and I wasted $136.00 on nasty drinks and food. The venue was not our choice, attended close friends birthday party. Will never go back and persuade others not to go. Oh, the live music was predictable and mediocre at best. Food service run up to an hour for some of our orders. Overall bizarre experience. read more

This was our first time at this venue. We usually frequent Tempe Improv or Stand up Live every week as we really like comedy and need to get our laughs on. Copper Blues Live from looks is nice but service needs an overhaul. Servers are not up to par with this type of venue. You could not find a server when you need one. Maybe management should go to Stand up live and Tempe Improv to see what the strengths are in their servers. Not sure if they just hire anyone off the streets or servers that actually have experience. Maybe We just got a bad server. Thank goodness for the water that was brought as we seated at the table. Food was horrible had a black bean burger and it was served without a side. When I asked about it they brought a small plate of chips. The beans tasted burnt. We also ordered the loaded fries and they were just as horrible. We could not tell what ingredients were on them as it was meted together and the flavor was just awful. Thank goodness for the show, at least the Robin Williams tribute show was great! Roger was a pretty good act and his own comedy afterwards was good too. If I may suggest something...the booths need to be raised as they sit below level of the high stools that block them at least a foot higher. read more

If I could get my money back I would. We went to see our favorite comedian, Preacher Lawson, and did not enjoy the show at all for two reasons. We could not see the comedian well and we could barely hear him well enough to enjoy his amazing humor. Suggestions: 1. The venue is set up in a rectangular shape. The stage is at the long end, which means anyone sitting in the back cannot really see the facial expressions of the comedians. This could be easily be remedied by putting the stage in the center of one of the long walls. In that manner, there truly would not be a bad seat in the house. In it's present state there are lots of bad seats. So, if you go, make sure you get there early. 2. We were in the back and there were no speakers in the back. Accordingly, when the comedians were speaking loudly I could hear about 60% of what they were saying. When they were speaking in a lessened volume I could only make out 10-20% of what they were saying. I wish I hadn't gone. For me, it was a total waste of my time and money. If we ever go again, I will make sure we get there at least 45 minutes early. read more

Went to CB Live today to grab a beer and watch the NBA playoff game. Got there at 5pm and asked the waitress to put on the game (the TV was showing the 5pm local news). She said not a problem. 10 minutes later she had yet to change the channel. Followed up and it was apparent she was never trained on how to change the channels. She said a coworker would change the channel. Fast forward 20 minutes and still no game. Saw a guy in CB clothing and asked him to assist but he said he worked at the other location and didn't know how to change the channels. My advice for anyone looking to grab a beer and watch a game is to skip this place and go to Sandbar. Didn't want to post this review since I hope that CB is successful but it is apparent that their staff are not trained. read more

Went for the kickoff OmLit Brunch today and had an amazing time! They have a $20 bottomless Mimosa that was constantly being filled. I recommend the Loco Moco but they had a bunch of great options to choose from. The DJ was really great created such a fun atmosphere. Next time I'm going to try the Bloody Mary bar---it looks so awesome! We will definitely be going back to CB Live again very soon. read more

It was our first time to visit CB Live and with great Staff like Kristi and Sam (Semper Fi) we will be back. The atmosphere was wonderful and the layout made the restaurant feel open and not crowded. Sam was a everything we would have wanted to be our server. She was attentive, engaging and always ready to offer a suggestion. Sam was just a delight to talk to and always willing to assist if Kristi was unavailable. A special kudos for the band, the live music was enjoyed and entertaining. Beautiful new venue. I was there last weekend . The band Instant Classics was fun. The bar area and front of house was busy and rocking. We ordered burgers which were great and come with house chips for $14. This would be 5 star up to this point. Then I got my bill with the drink charges. $16 for a vodka soda! Really? That's ridiculous. I double checked with the server who just 'that's what they charge here.' I predict the drink prices will kill them long term. read more

You need to check this place out! We were there last night and were definitely NOT disappointed. The nachos were delicious and our burger was not your run of the mill burger. Fresh, flavorful, moist and came with killer French Fries. The entertainment was outstanding! We believe this is just what Desert Ridge District needed to make it a "destination ". Really enjoyed Jeremy Piven. Wait service excellent. Food below average. Drinks very weak. Menu limited- not someplace you want to go if you are looking for dinner or good drinks. Ambience above average. A few problems with the club: First, the bouncers were too aggressive, IMO, ousting someone next to us for basically no reason. Second, the VIP section was over crowded and the tables were jammed in so close together there wasn't enough room to sit at the table without bumping into the chairs of people behind or beside you. If there were ever a fire or other problem I cannot see how people would be able to evacuate this over crowded club safely. When you pay for VIP tickets you expect to be able to sit down without knocking someone over. That said, the view of the stage from those seats was quite good. Finally, this is minor but the bathroom provided no paper towels - only hand dryers. This would have been okay but the faucets were not automatic so you have to use your clean hands to turn off dirty, wet rubber handled faucets after washing. They should either provide paper towels to protect clean hands or install touch free faucets. The wet rubber faucet handles were gross. Bathroom lighting dim, no full length or well lit mirror. Overall: We had a good time due to quality of entertainment and wait staff but many areas need improvement. read more

Went here today twice. Once for the HH, then we walked around in desert ridge, and back again for the live music. The only good thing about this place is the beer, pretty good options. Everything else is horrible. The cocktails were all a sugary amateur-ish mess. The food was tasteless. They even screwed up the steak bites, with too much salt. How difficult is is it to cook a fatty piece of steak. Our food and drink orders took for ever to arrive, all evening the waitress came back after ages to realize nothing had arrived and kept taking them off the the bill. Sorry, we weren't looking for free food and drinks, that did not help. We still came back for the live music later, not a great experience. The band was ok, but the service was rude. Went to the bar after a few drinks, just wanted some water. Three times, different bartenders smiled, asked what I wanted, and then when I said water, just walked away. Never got the water. I could not believe that anyone can be that cold hearted. Won't be back. read more

I had made a reservation for me and 12 of my friends last Sunday at 530 for a birthday dinner. My husband and I got there a little early to see where we are sitting. We ordered drinks and at this time there was little people in the restaurant and it took some time to get our drinks and I asked our server about a couple different vodkas and she couldn't tell me whether you had it or not then brought me my drink and didn't tell which vodka it was. The rest of our friends showed and the restaurant started to fill up. Our server took quite some time to get our drink order. My friends and I are drinkers and we constantly had to get her attention and when we did we had to make sure she got everyone else at the table because she would just walk away. We ordered food and when it came out half of my friends salads were wrong and our food all came out separate. The food runners couldn't tell which was which. The whole experience was just awful. I love the location in Phoenix and being in the service industry this was literally the worst experience and not because the food, the food was great and not because the drinks, they tasted great when we eventually got them, it was our server, hense the reason this is 3 stars and not 2. I did notice she was the only one on the floor that night that I could see which I found extremely odd since it got packed for the live music, there were more food runners/managers/bartenders than servers. I can't say we will ever go back to this location which is a total bummer. read more

Last Saturday friends and I arrived at 7p and was surprised we needed reservations for a venue that is more of a bar than restaurant. We went elsewhere to eat/drink and returned around 9p, was very busy and the comedy show was ending. We asked if we could get a table in that area and was told they were cleaning a table and would soon seat us. After 15+ min waiting and seeing others come in and take tables I asked again. Coincidentally the owner, Joel, observed we were trying to get a table and he quickly arranged it. We were seated 10+ min before someone came over, table was never wiped down, but placed a drink order (Layla, who was very nice.) Vodka redbull didn't have much vodka, and vodka with splash of water and olive juice was all olive juice. Took a while before we had chance to send it back for another which was better but not great. Later on Layla offered a cosmo and bottled beer that were extras so we accepted, cosmo was awful. Joel came by a few times to check on us, bought the first round (we accepted) and welcomed the feedback and extended free tix to a comedy show (we passed as thought it wasn't necessary), nice guy very attentive to customer service. That said he unknowingly spilled the bottled beer and we asked Layla to wipe down but so loud perhaps she didn't hear? So from beginning to end the table was dirty/sticky from drinks. There were also bathroom attendants which I personally don't want or need - I can get my own hand towel. And when I come to the bathroom without my wallet I feel bad that I didn't know they were there but also don't want to feel obligated to tip. (It's not about the money and truly appreciate people seeking to earn some $.) Unless they heavily train bartenders or replace if needed, best to order a bottled beer so you know what you are getting. Its only been open 2 weeks and understandable need to work out new opening kinks so upping my review to 4 stars because I can visualize the improvement:) The band was awesome!!! Not much in the way of live music in north Phoenix and for sure will be back. read more
