We almost always end up here for dinner, especially before heading over to the Improv right nearby. It's a great place to relax, grab a good meal, and start the night. It's almost always busy, which says a lot about how popular it is. My best tip is to add your name to the waitlist online before arriving -- it saves a lot of time. Once you're seated, there are so many menu options to choose from, plus a huge drink selection and tons of beers on tap. My go-to meal is the steak bowl, and it never disappoints. The flavor is absolutely perfect every time. I also love that it's on their under-700-calorie menu, which makes it a great option when I'm in contest prep and trying to stay on track. Even better, it's already in MyFitnessPal, so it's super easy when I'm tracking my macros. The only thing I'd mention is that because it's usually packed, the wait staff can be a little hit or miss depending on how busy they are. Would have liked to eat outside but hostess was a little stuffy about opening up another table, so we sat inside. Our server was terrific and gave us some sound advice. We were going light due to plans later in the day so we split the house salad and the three fish taco plate. Server brought the salad to the table split and we divvied up the tacos. Salad was fresh and lightly dressed, plenty of veggies. Taco shells were small but they each had a nice strip of deep fried fish topped with guacamole and a little cheese and lettuce. Stopped by Yard House on Christmas Eve for some quick bites during happy hour before heading to a Christmas light show, and it was the perfect choice. We joined the waitlist online ahead of time and were seated immediately when we walked in--such a great perk, especially on a busy holiday. We ordered food through the kiosk, and our waiter came by to take our drink orders, which made everything super easy and efficient. I've said it before and I'll say it again: the happy hour menu at Yard House is one of the best for food and apps. The number of half-price appetizer options is honestly dangerous--in the best way. We went a little wild and ordered around 10 (maybe even 12?) dishes for six people. Way too much food... but no regrets. They are known for their wide selection of draft beer but they do have a good selection of spirits, mocktails and low proof drinks. We got here around 5 on a Friday and it was already quite busy. They offer a happy hour with discounted drinks and appetizers so we got the blackened ahi sashimi, Gardein wings, and I tried the kish and tell cocktail. For a main course I had the lobster garlic noodles with a side of kale and romaine Caesar salad. I liked the flavors of the ahi sashimi but I'd probably pass on the Gardein wings for next time. As a meat alternative it's OK but there are better faux chicken options out there. The kish and tell cocktail is made with kish shine soju, cranberry, lychee purée, and lime juice. I definitely got a buzz from the drink and it had a good balance of sweet and tart flavors. For happy hour this drink and others like it are $2 off. While there was an ample amount of lobster in the noodles, the sauce was way too salty for me. I couldn't eat all of it because of the salt level. The side salad was much more enjoyable. It was a very generous portion and the combination of roasted brussels sprouts, pistachios, raisins, baby tomatoes, and parmesan worked well together. We go to Yard House a lot because the menu has something for everyone. We usually eat there before we go to the movies at AMC since it's so close. Our favorites are the Poke Nachos, Shiitake Garlic Noodles, Parmesan Truffle Fries, Turkey Club, Truffle Mushroom Pizza, and the Ahi Tuna Crunchy Salad. All of these are so good!! You can order the Ahi Salad in a lunch portion or dinner size. The lunch size to me is large enough to be a dinner size. They have a good Kids menu, my kids like the Cheeseburger Sliders, Pizza, and Mac and Cheese. They also have the tablets on the table the kids can use to play games, which is great and keeps them entertained. Yard House has a bunch of gluten free options on the menu. They also have a good happy hour from 3-6, half off certain appetizers, half off pizzas, and drink specials. I enjoy sitting on their patio better than inside. The inside for me is very dark and sometimes the hoppy smell from the kegs is very strong. Service is usually good and they have always been accommodating to reservations of larger groups. read more

Happy hour is the best here at Yard House! Happy Hour is M-F from 3-6 PM, and includes most appetizers and pizzas at 50% off. We came here for Happy Hour on Memorial Day, and we waited about 15-20 minutes for a booth. Our server was amazing! Her name was Emily M. and she constantly checked up on us and refilled our water. She was so sweet and definitely enhanced our overall experience. Everything we ordered was off of the Happy Hour menu: poke nachos, chicken nachos, boneless wings, fried calamari, carnivore pizza, and truffle mushroom pizza. Olive Garden is to the older generations what Yardhouse is to us Millennials. In an age of trendy new spots it's one chain that I'll repeat visiting. It's classic, reliable, and everyone leaves happy. The menu is large enough for anyone to find what they like and it changes enough to keep it fresh. I've never ordered anything that was disappointing and I've always had good service. The locations are also well done as you can always find one at any big entertainment district. The vegetables could've used more attention. Not enough seasoning or cooked long enough. The steak was med rare and very delicious. It had enough seasoning and the sauce they had was also very good. Mashed potatoes are mashed potatoes and creamy and buttery. The filet was 38 dollars. Do I think the filet was worth 38 dollars? I've been to Yard House in both Texas and Arizona but this was my first time visiting the location in Desert Ridge Marketplace. I stopped by on a weekday for a late dinner. While it gets busy here, they have a huge parking lot so you'll be able to find a spot. Ambiance (3/5): I decided to sit at the bar. Yard House is a large restaurant with booths, tables, bar seating, and bar-top seating so take your pick. The decor and ambiance are on par with other chain restaurants. It's nice and it does the job. Service (4.5/5): While not always the case, I like attentive service at the bar and that's exactly what I experienced here. The bartender was efficient, friendly, and made recommendations based on my questions. A great job all around. Drinks (5/5): This is one of the areas where Yard House shines. They are known for their beer and have an extensive list of local, national, and international beers. And they even have a few beers brewed in-house. Since I'm a sucker for variety, I built my own flight. All of the beers I selected were ones I hadn't tried before. This is bliss for me. Food (4/5): I wasn't looking for a heavy meal so I went with the sliders appetizer. You'll receive three sliders with the typical fix-ins and a side of fries. While it's an app, it's a generous portion. I also had a free dessert for my birthday and ended up going with the Oreo Brookie (a fusion between a cookie and a brownie). It's served a la mode with vanilla ice cream which is always a good decision. Unfortunately, the dessert was a little too dry for my liking. Maybe I should have gone with one of their other options. It's tough for me to pass up on anything Oreo-related though. If you're looking for some good brews and solid food for a chain, Yard House is a good choice. My friends and I always want to try to break up the week every other week and try a spot for happy hour. Sometimes out of convenience we will go to a regular spot that we know we get good food and good service. Last week we decided to try yardhouse! Their happy hour did not disappoint. We went on a Thursday, there wasn't a wait for 3 people at 5pm but shortly after being seated it looked like it did get busier. The ambiance was pretty chill and dark so that was relaxing. However, I gave this a 4 stars instead of 5 because of the tables where we were seated. I can understand maximizing your space but it was so crowded that if people were coming in, we couldn't stand up until the whole party of whoever is walking got by us. We were by the tables in between the bar and the booths. Service was good though, no complaints there! Also the food was really good and I'm sure I'm friends and I may make this spot one of our regulars. read more

Met some Friends for Happy Hour. We had a Happy Hour Truffle pizza and Ahi Tuna Sashimi, both excellent. Our Friends had chicken tendors and a HUGE salad, it is was the Small size. All GOOD. I will start by saying that I love Yard House and I love the ahi crusted tuna sandwich. With that said, my lunch yesterday was not the best. The tuna on the sandwich was over cooked and the sandwich was very dry in comparison to what I have had at other Yard House locations. Also, the portion size on the side of fries looked like it belonged on a kid's meal, and I am not sure a kid would have been happy with it either. The Coke Zero was great and the server was good. The place seemed clean. I was originally sat at a center table and soon found out that it was broken and would not level.
