First and last time here. We were not greeted by our waitress for at least 10 minutes after sitting down. Service went down hill from there. One order came out wrong. Chicken on nachos was dried out. Nachos were below average. Waitress disappeared for almost our entire visit. There is a short hair blonde female manager that walks around the place but never talks to customers. I booked the New Year's Eve Cabaret show as a surprise for my husband on his birthday. It was marketed just as a cabaret, nothing else. Nothing but a bait and switch. There were 4 middle aged singers taking turns singing cheesie 70s and 80s hits all night. When they took a small break some scantily dressed ladies came out to walk on the bar and pour shots into a few patrons mouths sitting at a lower, higher priced section by the stage and at the end of the night 2 beautiful ladies danced through the tables. I would recommend this place if you want to go somewhere to JUST dance to live music (not talk to anyone) and you own a pair of earplugs. I came here on a Friday night to hang out with some friends. We wanted to sit inside because it was a hot night and we needed A/C but it was SO LOUD in there with the live band... wayyyy too loud. Even if you weren't interested in talking to anyone else and just wanted to listen to the music, it was so loud that it was hurting my eardrums! So we decided to suffer through the heat and sit on the patio, because at least it was slightly quieter out there. It was still really difficult to talk to anyone though! And the high-top table we were sitting at was very unstable! I went to put my elbows on the table and the whole thing tipped over and would've fallen to the ground had we not caught it. Good thing there were no drinks on it yet! We left after about 10 minutes bc it was just too loud to communicate with our friends and too warm out on the patio.... I guess I'm just getting too old for places like this... but I'm still in my 20s! read more

I found this bar to be great little gem hidden in the middle of the city. Huge selection of (a lot of local) beers, great food from wings, shrimp, salads and unusual dishes like pea guacamole! Dined on a Friday night during happy happy hour. They have a well priced limited menu that includes food and drinks. The resturant offers shaded cool patio space or resturant seating. The resturant seating had live music. My guest and I sat on the patio. We had to wait 15mins before someone asked us what we wanted to drink. This resturant does not have the 2 min rule like most resturants do for a server to greet you. The surrounding tables had the same experience. The resturant was not to busy just not enough servers. The menu is limited but has a great variety of options to choose from for all dietary needs. I am not a beer drinker but my guest who joined me was VERY impressed by all the different brands. I ordered the Sasuage, Peppers, and Tomato Jam Flatbread. It was good. My friend ordered the same thing but his came about 20 mins after mine did. The server knew we were not splitting the dish but for some reason it took forever to come out. What appeared to a be a manager dropped of his flatbread with no apology or sorry it took so long. We both enjoyed it! For a place that is not known as a pizza parlor I was truy impressed. All the food that walked by our table was nicely presented and looked really great. I've been going to stand up live for close to 10 years and I've never gone to Copper Blues but tonight my husband wanted another drink. So after the show we head over to get a drink. Literally no one was at the bar ordering. We waited and every time the bartender got close they walk away. Then slowly people came to the bar and they got their drinks before us. After about 3 or 4 songs I told my husband they don't want to serve us and I refuse to spend my money with people who treat us like shit. I understand busy but there was no one there and three bartenders. It's like they literally avoided us. Never again. And we are avid stand up live guests. read more

My wife and I stopped by Copper Blues for happy hour last Saturday afternoon during our trip to Phoenix. We sat in the outdoor seating area which has a view of the courtyard of the Phoenix CityScape area. We ordered a couple of local IPAs (which were $4 during happy hour). We enjoyed listening to the 90's music and watching the security staff of the comedy club next door getting ready for the show that night. Who knew Daryl from The Office would need 8 security guards at his show? We weren't planning on ordering food, but the people at the table next to ours ordered several appetizers and they all looked really tasty. In the end, we opted for the soft pretzels which came with beer cheese as a dipping sauce. They were just as good as they look in the picture I am including with this review. Overall, Copper Blues has a really great happy hour with wonderful deals, tasty food, and a lively atmosphere. We would definitely come back. read more

Do not come here for food. Its downright not good. We came to Copper blues before the comedy show last night; if you have a reservation there, they will also reserve seats for you at the actual show. All 6 of us agreed that our entrees were mediocre at best. My pizza tasted like a bad frozen pie from the grocery store. My friend's tomato soup tasted like ketchup. You get the point. The only reason for the decent review is that the beer selection is really good and the live music later in the night creates an awesome atmosphere. Oh Arizona, you surprisingly have so much to offer in downtown Phoenix and Copper Blues is one of them. It's a nice bar, albeit a bit pricey and their claim to fame is having hundreda of beer taps! I tried counting them all, but stopped at around 50. The place has a rather nice decor. When I went all the staff were dressed as Elves and other Christmas related things as a sort of "Christmas in July" during the summer. They were friendly and got us a seat within seconds of us arriving even though the place was packed. For those interested (ie: you perverts out there), the waitresses here seem to dress in skimpy outfits here that show off their cleavage ;-) We waited for a bit before waitress came back to get our orders and this seemed to be a common theme throughout the night, but she came around just before we were about to get up and find someone everytime. I got the ribs, my colleagues had pizza, wings, and a burger. Of course we put a few drinks down the hatch as well. The food took awhile took maybe 20-30 minutes to come out, they warned us beforehand it might be awhile. When it did come, everything was cooked to perfection. The ribs weren't fall off the bone, but they were good nonetheless. There was a live band playing too although you could barely make out the vocals over the crowd noise. My only big gripe is they sat us in high chairs when there were booths and other tables available...although these seemed more comfortable than the usual ones. Next time I'm in Arizona I'll make sure to stop by and try out this place again. 4 out of 5 stars read more

This is a great place to come for live music. I have been here a couple times now and the bands are always great and keep my attention. There is no cover and the drinks are reasonable priced with an extensive beer list. It is cool that the stage is behind the bar and they are surrounded with all the beer taps. It is downtown Phoenix so unfortunately there is no parking but there is nothing they can do about that...it's a perfect location. The bar is upstairs so it adds to the vibe being on the second story. I also here they have live band karaoke on Thursdays so I will have to check that out one time too. read more

Oh my God, awesome on every level. Honestly every age group is welcome. The happy hour is solid. Our bartender Dana was a true professional and a beauty too. Top level service and we sat in several areas upon returning from theatre. The band played fun older songs which everyone seemed to enjoy. I ordered takeout last night and it was the worst thing I could've done. Horrible quality food for a tab that wasn't cheap. I was over charged for things I didn't order or receive, apart of the order I requested that two burgers be prepared well done and they were EXTREMELY undercooked. When I called about the issue they didn't offer me a refund or anything, she offered a "discount" on a new order and said in order to be refunded I'd have to take all of the food back. I drive all the way back up there JUST TO BE TOLD THEYRE CLOSED?! Try calling and I get no answer from that point. TERRIBLE experience, terrible food, terrible service. read more

This place is probably one of the better bars in DT Phx. The food this last time we came here was certainly mediocre and not very much flavor. Huge bar and huge restaurant on the second floor next to the comedy club. The great thing about this place is that all of the servers (majority of them) are super attractive! Prices are steep in my opinion, sadly (just as high as Old Town Scottsdale but certainly not the same environment or atmosphere). 2nd time here. Man....... did this change my mind..... I was here for my best friend wedding party...........& I wanted to buy shots for a couple of friends & the groom but...... Instantly got banned from the bar...I did not cause any trouble after that except for this review. I ordered from the bar...I realized that it was loud (live singer) but........and pulled out my phone/notes in order to type my order to the bartender who claimed her name was "sky" (don't believe it was) but she was working @ the bar. I do not understand what type of day she was having but she banned me from the bar when I repeated my order... I ...trying to be non-conferential did not try to escalate anything after I was ban..... "Sky" was so rude that even if I ordered by giving a friend a card would reject it ..... giving me the card...I mean.....like imagine rejecting money & being a business but cool..my friend group still spent a couple gs....even tho her anger...... With that, I've been coming here a while before covid, and this is the first time I've seen a manager be so hands on, Kelly is great. They claim open seating and any time we tried to sit at a table, the hostess brought out a printed reserved sign that looked like they had been printed on standard paper from the back office. Some friends and I went to this CB location during a girls weekend. We went for the Drag Brunch (which was so much fun!) but this review is specifically for CB and their waitstaff. There were less than 30 patrons in the entire restaurant (so pretty sparse) and we realized we might have been our waitress's only table. - When asked about the details of the menu items, she had an annoyed attitude that we asked her to repeat herself because we couldn't hear over the music. The menu itself listed the food items and prices (with no details) and the drinks were listed with details (but no prices). - There were multiple times we had to flag her down to refill our waters. One of the times, we saw that she was hanging out at one of the back tables watching the show. We also noticed some of the bartenders sitting down as well. - When we got our food items, we realized she did not describe the menu items correctly. The loaded tater tots came with an egg on top (which I would have taken off) and the chicken sandwich came with no bacon (when she told us it did). We also got our drinks 15 minutes AFTER our food came out. - When we got our bill, there was a charge for "extra side of fries". When asked about this, THAT'S when she decided to tell us that "the chicken sandwich comes with chips. Fries or salad is extra." Although while ordering, she made is sound like all the side options were standard. - We paid our bill, stayed for another 20 mins talking with the Queens, and then left. While waiting for one of our friends in the bathroom, our waitress walks past us and passive aggressively tells us over her shoulder "I gave you a side of fries for free." and kept walking. This is something you mention when you drop off the bill or when we ASKED YOU ABOUT IT. Not 30 mins later while we're leaving. - The final straw was, as we were walking down the stairs to really leave, she came back out and YELLED at us "Bye. Don't come back!" Guess she wasn't happy about the small tip we left. Our group wasn't obnoxious. There were only four of us and we always said thank you when she dropped things off or came by. Tips are extra, not guaranteed. We didn't feel the need to largely tip someone who couldn't give us the right info about menu items, withheld pricing info about menu items, and was sitting around and needed to be flagged down multiple times when we were your only table. But to be yelled at to not come back as we're leaving? CB - you need to train your waitstaff on what customer service is. read more

We attended the drag brunch and the performers were FANTASTIC and this review excludes them. My friends and I thorough enjoyed the performance and all the queens were the best. The restaurant itself is a cool spot and a nice vibe. The service however, was abysmal. It was clear from the first interaction that our server didn't want to be at work. We had some questions about the menu (which doesn't list ingredients in the dishes) and our server answered but when the food came out, some of the ingredients the server mentioned were absent. Our server was not attentive to the needs of our table until the end of the show. We were not told that to have fries with the chicken sandwich was an extra cost. We questioned this when we saw the bill and it appeared we were charged once for fries and not twice when two chicken sandwiches were ordered. We felt confused but paid the bill we were given. On the way to the exit our server passed by and made a passive aggressive comment about not being charged for the other fries. I said thank you. We exited the restaurant and were halfway down the stairs when our server followed us and stated "Bye- don't come back". Full disclaimer, I did not give a good tip. It took longer than the hostess said to be seated even though we could see empty tables. It took an obscene amount of time to get our drinks, and even when we got them they forgot a drink, and when it finally got to our table it was completely flat. It took over an hour to get our food when it's simple stuff like quesadillas, and nachos and they even messed up the quesadilla order. It should not take 2 hours from the time we get to the restaurant to get our food. Don't come here, service is terrible. We even saw the manager just texting in the corner and waitresses chatting for 10+ minutes not helping patrons. read more

Been here a few years back for a show and really did enjoy myself. Actually met a best friend of mine now there. Went back today because the wait for Arrogant Butcher was a wait. And I'm so happy we did. Went and grabbed drinks with an old buddy and the music was on point, the food was perfect and the drinks were as fantastic as the bartender who made them (and he was pretty fantastic) The fries and the chicken wings were crispy!!! Like perfect crispy without being burnt or too greasy. The drinks!! Omg the drinks!!!! I got me this vodka drink...it was the second one down on the specialties but I forgot the name. But it was so mouthwatering!!! And the pomegranate margarita my buddy had!?!? I never had a Pom one before and it was heaven. I always stare at this bar when working out at EoS across the street and I'm so glad I finally went in to truly enjoy the experience (cause let's face it when you go to a bar for a show it's no where like how it is on a regular day) read more
