This place is a lit . It's in cityscape building where my wife works, so just need to wall few steps to reach to bar from office LOL But ambience here is awesome. Hell lot many tap beers options and nice staff. You can sit at corner to see downtown view. CB Live will have frequent shows and sometimes big comedians like Russel Peters. Irrespective of the shows, you can always visit here to have couple of beers. Even food is nice here although little costly. read more

Since moving to Phoenix I've been to Copper Blues about 4-5 times and gave never had a bad experience! After last night I decided to snap some photos and post a review. To start, Copper Blues is ALWAYS Poppin! Whether it's a DJ or live band they always seem to have an upbeat environment with a swarm of people that is incredibly diverse that fits every demographic. On the music front, wether it's a DJ or a band I have noticed that the music usually tracks on the lates 90's through the 2000's front which hits me in the feels as a millennial (Hip-hop, Alternative Rock, Pop). For a place that is always so crowded and busy, it's NEVER hard getting a server or bartender as they are always super quick and attentive. The drinks are standard bar faire, but the food, especially this most recent time around was GREAT! To start.. the kitchen is open LATE which is a lifesaver because we were there after 1:00am and we're able to snag food. I ordered the Nachos and a Chicken Quesadilla...and they were amazing. The Nacho basket is HUGE and completely loaded. The Quesadilla was thick and completely overflowing with chicken cheese and peppers! The bathrooms are large, built with sturdy materials and kinda fancy for a Rick bar and they're super clean. Around the walls are random murals, sculptures, as well as open air vistas of the downtown Phoenix streets! It creates the exact environment you're looking for in a party scene! read more

Everytime I come here I never come for the food. However I absolutely love this place. I always come for the drinks and the vibe. They have such great bands and a packed bar. Pretty much everytime I come here I'm transported back to high school with the music! I can sing along to my favorites from early 2000's. Now I will say it does get pretty packed in here and you sometimes do have to wait for a beer, but it isn't very long. They usually have a lot of bartenders to help you out. Went here before the Tim McGraw concert and I don't know if they increase the prices for events or if this is their every day prices. $7.50 for a bottle of beer and they charged me $3.50 when I asked for flats on my wings without telling me. Great spot, in a convenient location area thats upstairs with an amazing breeze and beautiful view of downtown. Perfect for a date-night & show downtown. Discovered a great diverse menu & experienced their yummy Chicken Wings at a sweet discounted price during their Happy Hour- which is offered on the weekdays from 5PM-7PM. They have an AMAZING craft beer selection on tap and by the bottle. Many specials on mixed drinks as well. Staffed successfully. In the area we were seated, there was about 5-6 servers. We were greeted and waited on by two waitresses both were pleasant & professional. Very impressive! This place was average. Came here to grab a drink and appetizer with a friend. The vibes of the room were very fun and carefree. We ordered the pretzel with cheese which was very average. We also got some margaritas that were fair. Good flavors but tasted like no alcohol in them. Our waitress was very hard to find and we finally had to call her down to get our check. I also sat in my chair layer to realize it was gross and sticky. Left here not the happiest. No need to rush back. read more

The corporate office rep Ryan, offered a full refund & accounting would contact me for my card information as its past the time to process the refund. There were some hiccups trying to get this taken care through accounting but finally got it done, hopefully in a few business days this will post. If you have issues just talk to corporate and not the restaurant manager. *******Original Post 01/07/2021 This bar is so fun! The music and atmosphere is amazing! The live music is my favorite and this venue sometimes does live karaoke. Try and sit inside to be around all the fun. The nachos are my favorite! Share them with a group. The reason I gave less stars was for this... And I write this review because I'm warning customers to be careful! I would imagine this happens to a lot of people. A friend and I (just one other friend) went to Copper Blues on 11/7/2020 about 8:45pm. The server (Samantha was our server) informed us we have to give her a card to open the tab and we can split it later. Okay here is MY debit card. We ordered 2 cocktails each and my friend ordered a chicken sandwich. Around 10:15pm/10:20pm we asked to cash out. Asking the server to split between the card on file and my friends card - friend hands over her card. The server returns only with my friends merchant & customer receipt; showing it was for everything. No worries... I will just venmo my friend, my portion, which I did as she signs the customer receipt. Venmo transaction sent shows time of 10:17pm. The next business day is there is a transaction on my account for $58.84. But why?! So I call Copper Blues 11/11/2020 to let them know there has been a mistake. The event coordinator checks to see if my card was ever ran but will update me via email with more information. Next day 11/12/2020 - Copper Blues informs me "Positive note, we did not see anything on your card charged." But clearly there is a charge! From November up until today Thursday 01/07/2020, I am constantly following up with Copper Blues. Showing them the transactions from both my bank account and my friends credit card statement. Back and forth, back and forth "they will check on this". Finally hear back 01/07/2020 that they found the itemized receipt for what I was supposedly charged for. Not the items we ordered. Someone else's order. Copper Blue replies: "I want to be able to help to clear this. Both receipts show they're on the same table. Serves start tabs on tables wherever their guests are sitting to be able to properly drop off food/drinks without issues." I understand that restaurants are nervous people walking out on there tabs... However the transaction was an hour after we left the table. See photo. We left Copper Blues by 10:30pm but the receipt that is supposedly mine was charged at 11:33pm. So the customers who sat at the same table after us, used my card that was still in the POS system. After all this for two months... Copper Blues replies: "Below are both itemized receipts. It shows both signatures. I apologize for the inconvenience - with the signature on file we aren't authorized to refund the amount on our end." NOT MY SIGNATURE! Someone signed it and tip poorly. At the beginning CB was positive there was no charge and now they can't do anything at their end. I paid a total of $86.84 for two cocktails! Not even high end cocktails. $58.84 on my card and $28 venmo to friend. At this point there is nothing else I can do. My bank wont let me dispute it since I physically gave CB my card at the beginning. Some of you are probably saying let it go!!! But its more of a principle. Having good customer service. If you read my other reviews, I leave amazing reviews! I just don't want something like this to happen to someone else & be taken advantage of. Good venue with good music but beware of handing over your card. Its a busy venue so there could be mix ups... The place its self was fine. There policies are bad. To sit down and have dinner they require a $25 charge to your credit card the second you sit at the table. Then they charge you again at the end of the meal your total bill whatever you actually spend. My credit card alerts my phone every time a charge is made so I saw both charges while there and asked about it was told the $25 charge would be removed. 2 days later it's still on my card. Will probably end up having to do a chargeback to get rid off it. There were only 4 tables of customers in the whole place when we were there. Why on earth would any customer want to pay a deposit to sit down for dinner and then have the stress of trying to recover their deposit days later when they have flown home. I have never in my life seen anyplace in the US make you pay a deposit to sit at a table. I would avoid this place specifically for that policy alone. read more

Me and my co workers visited here after work on Wednesday 11/9. There were only a few tables occupied however, there were a couple of big parties including ours. Service was rather slow considering. We had to continously walk to the bar ourselves and order our drinks since our server(s) were checking in so infrequently. Other than that, I have no complaints. My strawberry drink was delicious and strong so kudos to the bar tender for sure! read more

Went here on a double date before the Phoenix Mercury game. We caught a happy hour where most of the drinks were 4.00 off or 8.00 a piece. They also conveniently have which items are for happy hour by labeling them as hh on the menu. It was open seating when we got there but luckily, there were still tables available. Our server and service was prompt and she was attentive to whatever we needed. I opted for the copper canyon burger which came with chips and I had the strawberry fields martini to drink. The squad and I hopped over to this bar looking for some good drinks. Cocktails aren't cheap, but the guys were happy with beer prices. I had a Good Vibrations and a something-Tree (cocktails all have song names). Both were fruitier spins on classics- an old fashioned and a mojito. The kiwi-infused mojito was my favorite. After seeing the happy hour prices, I'll be back for another. I had been craving some chocolate-y dessert since my disappointing pasty earlier in the night and the skillet cookie was amazing. If you like your cookies closer to warm, gooey dough, it's perfection. And it's much too much for one person! Service was ok- not great, not awful. It was too loud to hear anything most of the time, and I liked the music volume a lot better when the band wasn't playing. This was the third time that I have been to Copper Blues Rock pub in downtown Phoenix. They have a mind-blowing menu of draft beers, and really great pub food. They first shocked me when I went there because the ladies restroom has at least 15 stalls in it, which is lovely. Tonight was the first time that I have been there on a Thursday night and they have what they call "Karaoke with the Band." They have people sign up to sing karaoke like normal karaoke nights, but they get up on the stage and sing with the band. It was absolutely amazing. The first gentleman that sung, after his performance, called his girlfriend up on stage and proposed to her. This place is amazing and I will continue to enjoy all that Copper Blues Rock Pub every visit to downtown Phoenix. read more

We've been here a few times, typically before events downtown. We recently came before the Suns game and surprisingly it wasn't busy at all but the service was sooooo slow. I ordered the nachos with chicken. Other people in my party ordered the bacon burger, wings, turkey sandwich, and fries. The nachos are amazingggg and HUGE. Definitely a shareable appetizer/meal. My brother said the burger was okay, the wings were good, and the turkey sandwich is huge and really good! The ambience is nice, it definitely gets loud though since they play music and sometimes live music since it's more of a bar. read more

It was Wednesday 3/26/25. Maybe I should have gave a one star but the female waitresses and entertainment were perfect. I didn't appreciate being kicked out at closing time. We were a party of four and two of us were not finished with our last drinks for the night when a young male waiter approached us and said, "we're about to close" and I asked him, "you're kicking us out when you can clearly see we haven't finished our drinks?" And he said, "yeah I'm sorry". Isn't it customary to allow the customers to finish their drinks/meals even though the establishment has closed and not feel rushed or told that they got to leave? I thought that was very rude and never have I experienced that. Mind you, we got there when they first opened to closing time so we spend a good amount of money. We were never going to overstay a ridiculous amount over. We didn't order food so I can't comment on that. Would I go there again? Copper Blues is just a downtown staple. It's my go to place, especially after sports games downtown. They have an indoor and outdoor area. You can always count that the food is going to be delicious and the beer cold. I highly recommend the chicken nachos, they are huge and perfect for sharing. You can also never go wrong with the wings either. This location is always busy so expect a wait but it is well worth it. read more

Went to Copper Blues with a few friends after the Suns game last week. I had a blast and the service was top notch! I believe our bartender was Katie, and I wish every bartender was as great as she was! The service was fantastic, and there may have been one other person back there, but since it was towards the end of the night it looked like she was the only one holding down the majority of the bar and the customers. She didn't miss a beat and at one point I wasn't thrilled with the beer I chose and she totally took care of me and grabbed me a different one to make sure I was happy. I loved their huge menu and selection of beers available and my friends ordered some mixed drinks and they were talking about how good their drinks were on our walk to our Uber. It's no surprise why they keep her on payroll! I will definitely be back and bringing more friends to CB any time I'm in the Central Phoenix area!! Thank You! read more

When you need to leave, you have to look for the waiter, nobody comes to give you the check. Is their job to come check you, not yours. So we went and we were looking for our server, she was nowhere, we were leaving and immediately the servers came saying we were leaving without paying we wanted to pay but is not our job to be looking for the server. The servers didn't even did a great job. You have to ask other servers to get you drinks because the service is horrible. They treated us really bad. Really bad experience. read more

I feel like I had higher expectations for this place only because they don't open until 3 pm and when we arrived at 2:45 there was a huge line out front !! When we walked in all of the tables filled up within 5 minutes which made me really excited!! To add , the menu only has like 10 items to chose from so I figured they would be the chefs "special items" . I ordered a chicken sandwich and my husband ordered a small pizza. The food arrived around 45 minutes after we ordered. The pizza was good, however my chicken was quite dry and they forgot my dressing on my side salad. The waitress was really nice and it was a fun environment but I don't think it was worth the hype. Would try eating here again if I was in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way. read more

Don't know how to record CB Live review, but Just got home after driving 30 miles to see Craig Shoemaker and apparently he called in sick and show was cancelled. No big deal really and in this time of Covid completely understandable. But what I don't understand is how they could have two shows tonight at 7 "my show" and 10 and not have sent out a notice the same night. ADDED ON next day. I will say at least the next day they sent an apology along with an offer to refund my tickets as well as provide reserved seating for another comedian. WOW can you give less than 1 star and still post a review? There were 6 of us--2 were preteens. We could not go in until the kids had a stamp on their hand. Finally he showed up with a sharpie marker. He wanted to put a large X on each hand so the servers would not serve them. Then he told us it would wash off....not for a long time...it says permanent. We were seated but the waitress took 30 minutes to bring water. I asked about the beers--apparently, there was a beer menu but I could not get one. There was some guy trying to sing but he was terrible and I could not hear--so I asked again. She said something and left without taking my order. Out of the 6 of us she took 3 orders and left. An hour later the one beer came. nothing else. No other orders taken. It took almost 1.5 hours to get the food. It was cold and we sent the steak bites back. I finally got a beer--no food. #1 Service---negative 100 #2 Food--bad, really bad #3 Atmosphere--the worst ever #4 Servers--they should be employed elsewhere....like sewer inspections--no people involved. I will point out that the table that was seated after us was served, ate and left before I got my beer. We asked a server for something and she let us know she was not our server. read more

Copper Blues has it all. Copper Blues has a reputation for being legendary in Phoenix. A music and food bar with enough variety to satisfy everybody needs. This was our first trip to Copper Blues. I'm not sure what took me so long to visit but I am sure glad I did. Copper Blues offers a simple menu and large variety of beer selections. We ordered the brussels sprout appetizer, chicken wings, and sampled various IPA's. Everything was great. We really enjoyed the ambience and the live music. They have a happy hour with live music then a full band later in the night.The band plays all types of music. The staff and manager were very accommodating.
