We've been here twice, first time was great but second time was wow !! The service is top tier, your water glass will not go empty and dirty plates will not sit on the table long at all! For drinks I would recommend the vita Mia if your prefer something sweet & the May Day if you like whiskey ! All the food was amazing, we've had the steak frites, Wagyu tortellini, pasta à la vodka, 1000 layer potato's and more and not a single thing has disappointed. It very classy and upscale vibes ! Perfect place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, promotion, to just make it feel *special*. This visit they gave my husband a birthday card and cake which was very thoughtful! Your going to spend a pretty penny but your going to get what you pay for ! 10/10!!

Starting with Kourtney- her service was spectacular and very informational on the happy hour menu. 5 We got the scallops, prosciutto slider, Parmesan slider, meatballs & steak and mushroom skewer! Hands down the best and I would eat again are the meatballs and steak mushroom skewers! It was a good average happy hour. We already discussed it and we probably won't return but arent saying we didn't like it. We just didn't loooooooove it.

A truly lovely experience, and a great place for dinner with your significant other or friends! I ordered the Roasted Half Chicken, which was a big heap of protein that also came with some fingerling potatoes and a delicious rosemary jus sauce. Our server, Aiden, was extremely attentive, kind, and made us feel like the only table he was waiting on. He constantly checked on us, provided a lot of great recommendations, and even made some small talk to keep things light and entertaining. We will definitely be back!

Rating 5 stars based on the service we received. I brought my boyfriend here for a pre-birthday dinner and some drinks after (TYF). First time for both of us and our server, David, was great! He made awesome recommendations and really knew his way around the cocktails and menu. The aesthetic is dark, sexy, upscale and fun menu to match. We got meatballs for the starter. You get 3 and they're a good size for an app. For entrees he got the bolognese and I ordered the stuffed papardelle. While we were waiting for our food to come out, the GM Kevin stopped by to ask how everything was. I love when owners do this and unfortunately don't get it enough here in PHX. He even offered to walk us to TYF after our dinner and made sure we were taken care of, making this a top tier experience! Dishes were great and packed with flavor. We even somehow ordered dessert - pistachio butter cake and a chocolate mousse for my bf.

To start the food is always amazing even after the menu revamp it's still good (especially because I was skeptical) and drinks. The bartenders are amazing however we are sad our normal peeps have left. Tonight Sean KILLED it with us and so glad he was still there since first meeting him on Halloween. Honestly the reason for 4 stars is the fact the drunken wifey is gone and the 3% credit card fee. We have been coming here for a little over 5 years and never had to pay that. Wild change and slightly bs. You already charge a lot for food and drinks (increases over the years are noticeable with management changes) but when you always have a rather large bill usually $700-sometimes over $1000 depending on the kind of evening we're having it is going to be very noticeable. A change like that needs to be more obvious, minus a little print at the bottom of the menu. No one even noticed (since we really didn't need the menu to order) nor did our server. It truly makes me want to give you a three star but I can't discredit the hard working staff and people in the kitchen, as it is clearly the change of new management and the "rebuild" from the beginning of the year. It speaks volumes to a group that has been dedicated to the Americano since March of 2020 and now makes us wonder if it's time to move onto a different restaurant.

The interior of the restaurant is beautiful! We appreciated the fresh flowers on the host desk, the artistic dishes wall in the entrance, and the cozy booth. We were seated right away (with a reservation). Our server took good care of us throughout the evening. Attire is business casual. We had the pesto pasta, the half roasted chicken, and the steak frites. My dad said the pesto pasta was delicious! The presentation of the chicken was beautiful. The steak frites was perfectly cooked, the fries were fried well, and the peppercorn sauce was finger-lickin' good (or maybe fork-lickin' good). We let the waitress know before we sat that it was my dad's birthday, and she brought a small bowl of ice cream with a chocolate appliqué lettered with "Happy Birthday" and a lighted gold candle. This brought everyone at our table so much joy! Highly recommend visiting The Americano Restaurant if you find yourself in the Scottsdale area!

I really wanted to love The Americano, but unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. The service was underwhelming -- not terrible, but inattentive and lacking the level of hospitality you'd expect at this price point. As for the food, it was fine, but definitely not worth what we paid. For a restaurant positioned as upscale, I expected more in terms of flavor, presentation, and overall experience. I also didn't expect club music to be blaring in the background. There are plenty of great dining options in the area, and sadly this just didn't stand out enough to justify the cost.

The Americano was everything I wanted and more!! We had a very special Christmas dinner here and our server made sure that the night was perfect. He was also super friendly and it was lovely chatting with him and the rest of the team. The food was all truly spectacular! The swordfish was the best I have ever had! My aunt also said the salmon was the best she has had in AZ. We also tried their focaccia, crostini (which was eggplant and proscuitto that night, it was so, so good), and the spaghetti pomodoro. I wish the later was a little spicier since that's how they described it, but I love heat so that might just be me The only miss of the evening was the vegetable plate. It was sooo bland. It was really disappointing that this was the vegetarian option - but looking at the menu now it looks like they might have removed it which is for the best lol. I definitely think The Americano is a great option for a meal with the people you love! I want to go back and try some of their raw bar options.

We went back again since we really liked it last time. The restaurant is so beautiful, even more during the holidays. I didn't like my drink too much last time, so this time I tried the Versace on the Floor. It was definitely one of the most unique cocktails I have had, with an olive oil basil foam on top. The food was excellent again. They changed the menu a bit since last time. This time we tried the meatballs and scallops, both good. The new dish was the lobster risotto. It was so delicious, I highly recommend it. The steak was very tender. We ordered it family style and they slice it up into pieces so we can share. We had to get the tagliatelle bolognese since we thought that was the best dish last time. It didn't disappoint! The only dish we did not like this time was the spaghetti. It was overcooked, but they replaced it with another tagliatelle. The service was very good this time. Our server was attentive and quick. However, I will say that I noticed both times we went that the girls up front are not very friendly. Which is unfortunate because it would be nice to get a friendly greeting at this great restaurant where you will end up paying a lot for dinner.

I've been to a lot of bars and restaurants, and I can honestly say that Sean stands out as one of the best bartenders I've ever had the pleasure of being served by. They are incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely make every guest feel welcome from the moment they walk in. Not only are their drinks consistently excellent, but they handle busy nights with an impressive level of calm and efficiency. Even when the bar is packed, they remember orders, keep a positive attitude, and make sure guests feel taken care of. That kind of service is rare. What really sets them apart is their personality and work ethic. They create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back. You can tell they care about both the customers and the success of the business. Every time I visit, I see them going above and beyond, helping coworkers, keeping things organized, and maintaining a great vibe for everyone around them. Employees like this are a huge asset to any establishment, and in my opinion, they absolutely deserve recognition!

From the moment we walked into The Americano, everything was just right. The hostess welcomed us with such a warm, genuine energy, and that feeling carried throughout the entire night. Our server, Abrielle, was incredible attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel effortless. You can tell she truly cares about what she does. We even had the chance to meet the owner, Kevin, which made the night feel even more special. He was so down to earth and welcoming, and it really shows in the atmosphere he's created. The vibe here is unmatched beautiful space, amazing energy, and everything from the drinks to the food and drinks were absolutely incredible. This has easily become our favorite spot to visit every time we're in town. Great service, great people, and always a great time.

The Americano came highly recommended by friends so my husband and I went there on a date night. It's very sleek and modern. The restaurant itself is dark and has a sophisticated, upscale club feel. They have some fun specialty cocktails we enjoyed. "Versace on the floor" was interesting. My husband had the duck breast and I had the special, Trenette All'aragosta (Lobster Pasta) with a side of broccolini. The food was great but the service was just okay. Started with the hostesses. They were not welcoming when we checked in. Our server was just okay. For the type of restaurant this is we would expect the service be friendly, at a higher level.

The tiny tini. The dirty martini was super delicious.

The food is so delicious I had the shrimp cocktail to start. The shrimps we're giant and chilled to perfection. Next, I had the steak aside of asparagus. The meat was flavorful. I ate all of the asparagus they were cooked perfectly. I had the Keylime pie for dessert. I went for restaurant week and I got stood up my date called the restaurant and said he wanted to take care of the Bill since he stood me up. The staff was so funny and friendly about it. They brought me a few extra drinks.

Where things really took a turn was the food. I was so hoping I found a new staple in our walkable restaurants list but the food was mostly disappointing. We liked our fairly standard French onion soup and Caesar salad. The shrimp cocktail were not good at all. Shrimp was tough and mealy. They marinate them with a bunch of herbs. Maybe that caused the unpleasant texture? On top of that, I did not like the herbs used in the marinade. Good shrimp cocktail stands on its own! I should also add that these were $7/each. A week later I had the most amazing shrimp cocktail - tender and sweet and almost double the size for $4/each. I don't mind paying $7. I've paid $13 each for good shrimp cocktail. Just a lot of money to spend on something so disappointing. Our sea bass was also tough. Flavor was okay. The piece was fairly thin - possibly why it was overcooked? For those who love sea bass, I suggest checking it out at SumoMaya or Dominick's. Can't be beat! Sadly, I don't think we'll be back. Too many other excellent options nearby.

You know you are in for a true fine dining experience. We started off with some cocktails and I was very impressed with the clear ice cube in my Smokey Old Fashioned as it was branded with the "Toro" logo. It was so smooth and probably the best Old Fashioned I ever had, so I had 3 more! My wife throughly enjoyed her Espresso Martinis also. I started off with the Grilled Octopus and nearly cried because it was so good. This is a food favorite of mine and although I love the flavors, most restaurants over cook it and you need to cut it with a steak knife. Not this dish, no knife necessary, your fork will do. So tender, so flavorful, so amazingly delicious. The Mrs. ordered the crispy calamari and was thoroughly impressed as the texture was what fresh calamari should be and not the rubbery texture you get from 8 out of 10 other places. Seasoned to perfection with spices but not overly spicy. My wife can't bear spicy anymore , but she really enjoyed it. I finished it for her of course, because she always remembers to leave room for desert and never finishes anything. And I'm glad because I always get to taste her meals too. It's a win-win for me! I then had an off-the-hook Ceviches that rivaled my own. I am also a part-time cook and also wrote a cookbook. Ceviche is a particular dish that I compare to other restaurants and until now, never found another place that compares to mine. Toro doesn't disappoint my friends. Now for the entrée, Lomo Saltado for myself and a medium rare Ribeye for the Mrs. The Lomo Saltado was beef tenderloin on creamy rice, crispy potato, heirloom tomato, bell peppers, Rocoto Aioli and a Chifa Soy Sauce. It was mouth watering. The beef tenderloin was cooked a little on the well done side, but my bad for not specifying to cook it medium rare. It was still amazing and not a big enough deal to even mention it in the review, but I just want you to specify your preference when you order yours. My wife had the 14 Oz. Ribeye, medium rare ( she thought it was also medium but I found it to be medium rare myself) it was soooo good. She had a side dish of Crispy Brussels sprouts that were unworldy. We never had Brussels sprouts that good, it must be the sherry vinagrette and cotija cheese. Unreal. I had a side of shishito peppers that made my heart happy. My favorite peppers are not usually available everywhere so it was a real bonus to the meal. Desert, well the desert was worth the wait. We both ordered the Ube Basque Cheesecake. It is a dark purple colored slice of heaven with masa crumble, Yuzu espuma and coconut jam. The presentation was stunning. We even enjoyed espresso with sambucca to finish our dining experience. How many places offer espresso on their menu just to inform you the espresso machine isn't working? Just another bonus for us. Price wise, what you would expect for a high-end restaurant in a beautiful resort area of Scottsdale, no sticker shock there, but still, I'd save this place as a never can fail go to for a first date, anniversary, job promotion, marriage proposal, special occasion restaurant. They also do breakfast, brunch, lunch and Happy Hour. I hope you get to experience this place at least once. Put it on your bucket list, you'll be glad you did!

My wife and I celebrated my birthday with dinner here and we had an absolute wonderful experience…read more It was our first time dining here but it definitely will not be our last. The service was top tier. I wish customer service like this existed everywhere. Hannah was outstanding. She was welcoming, attentive, and helped make our night even more enjoyable. She didn't linger but somehow always knew when to check back on us as soon as we needed something. We're always weary of trying out a new restaurant for the first time but dinner was spectacular. Everything we ordered was so delicious and cooked to delectable perfection. High compliments to the chef! Appetizer: Warm Bread Basket - A must have! The bread was so scrumptious that it doesn't even need the delicious whipped butter. But the butter was so amazing it was hard not to smother every morsel of bread with it. Fantastic appetizer option. Entrees: 1/2lb Dutch Harbor King Crab Legs - Served with perfectly cooked asparagus, potatoes, and the usual side of melted butter. My wife said the butter that the crab is cooked in/served with was so phenomenal that she didn't have the need to dip into the side butter. I chose this restaurant because my wife loves crab legs and these absolutely delivered. The meat was sweet and succulent, and most importantly, they tasted fresh! Filet Mignon (8oz) - Delicious and perfectly seasoned! Exactly cooked how my wife ordered it and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Willow Bend Lamb - I can't rave enough about how exquisite this was. I was worried the chops were going to be too large but the portion size was spot on to my liking. The roasted garlic thyme jus it's served with is rich, savory, and a great compliment to the tender and juicy chop. I would order this again and again. Sides: Parmesan Truffle Fries and Smoked Gouda Tater Tots - It's hard to mess up a potato but somehow Ocean Prime was able to make it even more delicious. The fries had a perfect balance of crisp and tender, and the parmesan truffle flavor was the cherry on top. Wonderful aftertaste and surprisingly pairs well with crab legs. The tots had a perfect crisp exterior and a fluffy inside. The offerings are generous so 1 side would suffice for 2 people. Every bite was scrumptious and a definite recommend for the table. Cocktails: My wife also had the Berries & Bubbles cocktail. Well, it was so yummy that she had 2 of them. I had a sip and although I'm not a vodka fan, I can attest that it was indeed yummy. The dry ice is a nice touch and adds to the beauty and appeal of this drink. The drink is poured at the table (Hannah is clearly a pro at it). It was like a dinner and a show! Dessert: We were offered to choose a dessert on-the-house to celebrate my birthday. We ordered the Warm Butter Cake for the table and a Chocolate Torte to go. Hannah was kind enough to comp both of them for us! The Warm Butter Cake was AMAZING! From the delicious ice cream served on top to the gooey buttery velvety center of the cake with a perfectly crisped edge, it was everything you'd want in a dessert and more. I'm sure it's the star of the dessert menu. I've yet to make it to the torte but I've no doubt I'll be swimming in chocolatey goodness when I do. Lastly, I had flowers delivered to the restaurant to surprise my wife, and I asked if they would please have them set at the table prior to our arrival. They were able to receive the delivery before opening time and were placed perfectly in the middle of our table (booth seating). I'm so grateful for how they accommodated my request and helped me execute a wonderful surprise that gained a beautiful smile from my wife. 10/10 experience. Five stars all across the board. Worth every dollar spent. I highly recommend Ocean Prime for any and all events, or if you're simply just looking for a delicious meal.

We chose Ocean Prime for our Father's Day dinner and left with mixed feelings…read more The food was hit or miss. The Caesar salad was very good, and the crab cake was excellent--easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the scallops were disappointing, arriving cold and noticeably tough. On the positive side, the carrot cake was outstanding and a great way to end the evening. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet during our early dinner reservation, so we expected attentive service. Instead, the service was slow and inattentive throughout the meal, which was disappointing given the restaurant's reputation and pricing. Overall, there were some bright spots, but the inconsistent food quality and poor service made for an underwhelming Father's Day experience.

Words don't do this place justice!…read more The service was so on point and they all work as a team. Multiple people will check on you, clear the table, and refill anything you need. The overall place is super cute, quaint, and not loud so you can actually hear your table conversation. The food....delicious! I'll start off by saying those OYSTER BITES are money! My friend and I ordered multiple and I would have ordered more if we didn't have a place to be afterwards. I'm definitely ordering this every single time. The Tuna carpaccio was to die for, I would order this every time! The Lobster croissant was interesting, the lobster itself was so juicy and buttery, I didn't care much for the croissant or shrimp on it. The caviar chips were good but I wouldn't order them again, it was more chips than anything else. The drinks were sooooo good! If you don't know what to order the staff is very knowledgeable and can help guide you. A message for the owners: I absolutely love the concept! You two are extraordinary and I hope you don't change a thing at either of your restaurants. All of them are fantastic. The quality of food is outstanding and the way you train your staff is beyond amazing.

Was here mid-week in August. Server was Tanner…read more First, the thing I like about this place (and Humble Bistro to a lesser extent) is that when I walk in I don't feel like I am in a suburban mall restaurant in Phoenix. It feels fresh, clean and really represents itself as a seafood place. The menu is heavier on seafood and lighter on fish, which is OK. good assortment of non-water proteins as well. Nice wine list with bottles and glasses at multiple price points. Service was good. Tanner handled a bit of confusion on an oyster order like a pro. A bit more attention would have been nice; clearing plates, filling water, etc. But overall, solid service. Food was interesting. Oysters were fresh tasting and served with several toppers. Not certain I liked the plastic cups and mini wooden ladle, but the flavors were there. Lobster bisque was a bit thick for my taste, but my better half thought it was great. Flavor was rich and satisfying. Last, the lobster and shrimp roll was too deconstructed. The lobster was dumped on top of an uncut croissant. You couldn't really eat it like a roll unless you scraped off the meat, picked up the damp croissant, cut it and then restuffed the lobster and shrimp inside. Too dang much work. While the flavor was good, this is not something I would order again unless they were willing to split in in the kitchen and turn it into a proper lobster and shrimp roll. Would absolutely go again, but you are now warned about the roll.
