    Oven-baked fries
    Heajin J.

I was walking nearby and stopped by this place, which was a good choice. I liked the burger because it was full of mushroom flavor. I also enjoyed their unique and savory oven-baked fries, but I would not recommend it to those who want "crispy" fries. For me, it was great.

The shop tucked in a building on stony plain road and 152 street. I am sure over my time in Edmonton I have driven by it but did not know the treasures that were in store. The place inside looks clean and bright. You can see right back to where the magic happens when you walk in. When I went in in a Saturday at lunch, they had a good selection of sweet options and savory and i decided on the pretzel pizza stick, a birthday cake bar, cheese scone and a ginger snap cookie for research purposes. Oh dear the texture of that pizza stick was exactly what I have been missing. The fluffy, chewy texture was in each bite and I was so happy. That texture that I have been missing in a bread product has finally been found and the flavour was there too. I finally felt like I wouldn't have to miss out in the things that I once really enjoyed. The birthday cake bar was also delicious and will be something that I would get for a party for myself or anyone else so they don't feel like they are missing out on the cake. And while I haven't eaten all of the treats, I can confidently say I will be back and soon to hit up the fresh bread because it has been too long since I have had a nice sandwich. Delicious!

We started w a pierogi sampler plate. Every current flavour - some new ones, chicken curry and pulled pork. All delicious w great sauces. The bread was super tasty- multigrain w garlic butter. Who knew gluten free bread could be so good Pickle soup and French onion soups were great. Pickle soup is not that sour so definitely try if you want lighter fare. Most had chicken or pork schnitzel specials were great. My husband is half Austrian and raised on schnitzel - he loves CTs schnitzel. I had the tomato and avocado salad. Great dressing - not sweet or cloying just a great accompaniment to the rich avocado - w grilled chicken that must be marinated- it was so good. Too full for dessert again! But have their Apple strudel which is lovely. CT is a YEG institution for good reason. Try their pierogi's at Strathcona Farmers or Bountiful.

And everything we ate was delicious! Not just good for gluten free I mean delicious. I ordered the mushroom spaetle with shrimp, my husband had liver and onions, my daughter had the perogies, and my mother in law had chicken stroganoff. And for dessert we had apple strudel, tiramisu, and a Black Forest cake. All were amazing. I really hope they can open in a better location soon as we absolutely loved the food!

The main meal was great. The fish was a large portion but slightly overcooked. We loved the spatzel on it. Well cooked. Black forest cake was good but not as moist as I remember. I'm not sure what her name is. She is nice sometimes when I come in, and other times, she cuts me off when I'm speaking. Their customer service has really gone down hill. My main concern however is their lack of food labeling. There are no best before dates, or "consume by". There are no ingredients listed on their packaging. You're taking a gamble with trusting that because it's "gluten free" it's safe to eat. They don't label any other possible allergens aside from dairy/eggs. If they're going to chemically alter their baked goods, they should label them as such. They've recently added some coolers to their store to add in some other fresh items. You can grab fresh pizza dough, and other things. I noticed a lot was not labeled again with a price or ingredients. $7 for a small portion of pizza dough was pretty outrageous. I get the convenience of being able to grab and go though. I'm just not sure it's worth the price. It would be nice if they added a cafe or something where you could sit and enjoy a coffee and pastry. If you don't mind the mediocre customer service, high prices, and guessing game of will this give me some sort of allergic reaction then absolutely I recommend you check this place out.

I went with a friend who had the Kale salad while I went with Korean Hawaiian. It was fantastic. Crust was nice and chewy and housemade kimchi gave it a kick. They have a very interesting menu here, with lots of things to try. A little pricy but for high quality vegan food this is the way to do it.

We would go back in a heartbeat, just need to sleep off the food coma for a while. It's bright and airy in spite of the smallish space and the amount of booths and tables, oh and you can sit at the counter. The walls and ceiling are covered in memorabilia, concert banners and what not. The place was absolutely hopping at 12:45 PM, but we were sat in a booth right away. Waters dropped moments later, asked if we needed coffee, tea or whatever else you wanted to drink. Our server was fantastic, explaining and educating us as we were first timers. The food came out piping hot very quickly and our tea ordered after the food was dropped came in a large teapot and hot just like at home. The clubhouse, which I did not have, has house made ham and turkey according to our server. My corn beef had slices of corn beef that did not taste house made, but the sheer volume of meat I couldn't finish, the eggs were cooked perfectly. K's Mexicasa omelette was excellent with the Mexican meat the star. I know why the place is consistently full, it's that good. Definite redo when back in West Edmonton
