Whoa Baby. First off I am something of a fudge freak. At one time I did work in a candy kitchen. That being said I have come across some fairly raunchy fudge in tourist-y locales. I knew this would be good when I could pick out a vanilla scent in the air. In my opinion, vanilla fudge is some of the most difficult to make as it requires different sugar and liquid ratios than the usual base. I have never had pumpkin fudge so I had to get some of that and since I promised myself only to get two kinds was stuck on which other to get. My boyfriend picked chocolate ... I talked him into chocolate walnut. The chocolate walnut was excellent. The nuts were evenly dispersed and still had crunch and the chocolate was rich despite not being labeled a dark. The pumpkin was a revelation. I was fully prepared for holiday flavor gone wrong but no! It was creamy pumpkin goodness. It didn't rely on spices to pull off its seasonal status it instead was very even. We ate the rest for breakfast. :P read more

I was in the area on vacation and decided to stop in. The selection of fudge, ice cream, and candy is great. I hadn't had fudge in a long time and I bought the dark chocolate walnut flavor. I came here with my friend who's from Kentucky. She ordered a scoop of ice cream and some fudge. I got 2 ounces of dark chocolate sea salt caramel fudge, and 2 ounces of dark chocolate with almonds. I also got a bottle of Perrier. Total came to a whopping $8!!! Maybe because they're the only shop there and it's a small town, that they charge a lot? Also, the employee working there, looked like she sucked on a lemon. She looked very miserable and acted as though people coming in were a nuisance. Like, really? Word of advice for you lady- you catch more bees with honey than you do with vinegar. Would it kill you to smile at people giving you business? I had the pleasure of visiting the copper country fudge last week while visiting a friend in Flagstaff. She told me of this place that "had the best fudge". So we did the drive and she is so right-----te BEST darn fudge I have had. My husband agrees, as I brought him some penuche and pumpkin pie fudge. Ok it was hot. We were in Jerome on the harley. We needed ice cream. This place is easy to find. Small selection of flavors but somehow we all managed to find one we could live with. :o) It isn't cheap, $3 a scoop regardless of how many scoops. The fudge is great, but the woman who works here needs to find a new job. She is rude, irritable, and unpleasant. When we asked about the "Texas tea" chocolate fudge she snapped, "it's just a name." I'm actually not much of an ice cream fan, but this place really wow'd me! My sister is a huge ice cream fan and got the Pralines and Cream. I had a taste and was blown away! It was not only the best Pralines and Cream I'd ever had, but the best ice cream! My favorite is Mint Chocolate Chip, so I got 1/2 a scoop of it and I just had to have 1/2 Pralines and Cream. Both were the best ice cream I've ever had!! Very yummy! I had Praline Pecan ice cream and my wife had mint chocolate chip ice cream. Both tasted home made and were fantastic of course we had to try the fudge. Hello, I'm Diana and I'm a sugar addict. :) I really want to like this place and have tried 4 times to fall in love. The first time was about 8 years ago and everything was good about the place. The fudge was creamy and the service was gracious. The next three times, the fudge was gritty and dry and there is no other word for it...the service really sucked. There has been no joy whatsoever in whomever is working behind the counter. Today was no different. Gritty dried out fudge and a very lackluster employee or owner. My wife and I visited this shop recently on our first ever visit to Jerome. We had finished our lunch and wanted something for our sweet tooth. I ordered a scoop of their chocolate ice cream and my wife selected a piece of almond fudge. The serving size was generous and had a really nice hard packed firm texture. I did notice that despite someone else's review here that they could order 2 flavors per scoop, they clearly state that is not offered any more. Who are they trying to please? Themselves or the customer? As I savored the chocolate ice cream I was quite disappointed. I don't know if they make this themselves or buy it wholesale from a supplier. The flavor was weak on the chocolate. The texture was not creamy rich but leans towards a crystalized texture, which wouldn't have been an issue for me had the ingredients struck me as being more rich. I just felt it was rather low quality ice cream. I didn't even finish it and tossed it away. As for my wife's fudge, it was also slightly crystalized. A good fudge in our view should be creamy smooth. This was ok fudge, but not great. I know it is pretty hard to get a creamy fudge but a shop specializing in it should have a higher bar. I really wish this shop were worth a visit but I would suggest a pass unless you are hot and need a cool down or like fudge. Their scoop size does offer refreshment but they should find/make higher quality ice cream. read more

So me and my family went to this local fudge shop, i decided it would be great for the kids to get some fudge and ice cream. So as we were ordering the guy was a real asshole. He judged when i said i wanted 3 scoops of ice cream and bullied the older people in front of us for the same thing. DO NOT EVEN GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. Terrible customer service! It was actually appalling! By a woman who worked there with tattoos on her knuckles (unfortunately didn't get her name.) Went in there with my family to get some ice cream.. after I ordered my mother tried to order in one waffle cone, 2 different flavors. The woman serving us made it seem more complicated than the order was by asking redundant questions when it was a simple request. She then started raising her voice and got a nasty attitude with my mother in front of our whole family and other customers being very hostile and talking to her like she was stupid. I couldn't believe she treats customers this way! I didn't even want my ice cream after that and she refused to let me give it back and cancel our order. I told her that her rudeness was unnecessary. The rest of my family walked out but she still made us pay for the ice cream we didn't even want!! She said I was "stuck with it." What audacity. We were lured in by the delicious smells emanating from the shop. Like a jerk, I did not notice the no cell phone use sign until I had taken at least three pictures. The shopkeeper didn't bat an eye and didn't give me any attitude which I really appreciated. My youngest got the fudge, my oldest an ice cream. Within moments, the youngest dropped her fudge on the floor. The shopkeeper immediately gave her another. I waited to be rung up again. Nothing. I told her I owed her for another fudge. She said no I didn't. She would never charge for that. It sounds like a little thing but my youngest habitually drops stuff and we've never had anyone offer to replace what she dropped. Even when it has literally happened at the counter in front of their very eyes and the kid was balling her eyes out. The food was delicious, the kindness we received priceless. I can't believe I finally found perfect fudge and most likely won't be back in the area for years, as I live in IL and this isn't one of my usual vacation spots. I got the chocolate mint fudge and it was fantastic. I wish I would have bought more. I looked online in the hope that this business would ship but didn't see anything.
