What a great place to visit on a hot day. The store had a very inviting smell to it, like a sweet maple syrup smell to it. The store had tons of candy and treats to choose from. We went in for ice cream, they had several varieties to choose from, the price for 3 scoops was pretty inexpensive, and they packed it on. I only chose 2 scoops in a waffle cone, I ordered cookie monster and vanilla cheesecake flavors. It was so good and filling. The service was great, they weren't stingy with their ice cream scoops, which I love because I will have to come back more often. read more

Man, I used to like this place. You used to be able to get a bag of popcorn for $6 dollars, which was already over priced, but it was worth it for the quality. I went in today and they were charging double on a candy bar and peace tea compared to the store. When I got home and tried the candy bar I was like "Why does this taste like blue cheese...?" I turned the light on and they had charged me more than $3 for a moldy candy bar. Will miss the popcorn, but won't be going back. read more

Service is mostly self-service unless perhaps one wants to get ice cream or to pay for things. Parking around the vicinity seems to be street only and fitted with various meters. ---Treats---- Friends ordered ice cream and they seemed happy enough, so perhaps ice cream is the way to go. I purchased some treats, specifically a brownie ice cream sandwich, and a chocolate rice krispie treat. Both were not good, but the chocolate rice krispie was a tad better. The brownie portion of the sandwich tasted nothing close to a brownie, and the rice krispie treat was decent at most. I don't know if the chocolate covered Rice Krispie treat was made with milk chocolate, but I think that would be better if it was. Next time, I'll stick to candies, popcorn, or ice cream. read more

Visited on a busy weekend so there was a line for ice cream- but it was worth the wait! Staff was hustling but still very kind. The Vegan Strawberry (made with almond milk) was different but still very good (and im not even vegan/vegetarian). The candy selection is outrageous- everywhere you look theres more; some hard to find classic like Zotz, candy cigarettes, Bazooka Bubble Gum, and Razzles mixed with bubble tape and jolly ranchers. We are visiting Prescott Iover Memorial Day weekend. Our family planned out different highlights to check out in Prescott and the Treat Center was high on our list. I promised our 4 young children that we'd stop there before heading home. We showed up at 10:00 when Apple and Google said they'd be open. A written sign on the door indicated they don't open until Noon. I obviously broke my promise to the kids and everyone was devastated not to taste this ice creams and popcorns. I could even see a shop keeper inside, but they would not open the door for us. It's no wonder these mom & pop shops have trouble competing with big box stores and chains. The least Treat Center could do is post correct hours for their store on the internet. read more

Less than friendly service from a woman I am assuming is some type of supervisor, and a more serious issue, employees popping food into their mouths while they are working with the food. Stopped in and got some ice cream, fudge, and cashew brittle. All of it was excellent. I do like that they have a good selection of candies, as well as a very large section just for salt water taffy. There's a lot of different flavored popcorns, too. The one thing I agree with others on the reviews is that the samples sit out with no tongs or anything to prevent grubby, dirty hands from touching other people's food. They need to have some other way of presenting samples. Overall, however, this place is great. I've been in this shop a few times and they have a TON on offer - popcorn in a hundred flavours with samples, home-made chocolates and bark and brittle, old fashioned candy, as well as ice cream. I am only basing this review on the ice cream. It is advertised as homemade. Maybe it is homemade but it didn't feel like it. When I think of homemade, I picture it being made that month with seasonal fruits. This ice cream was hard as a rock, I felt so sorry for the girl scooping it. It was immediately obvious that the lights were turned down to hide how unclean and disorganized it was. It was so dark we could barely find items we were looking for.
