Had the chicken sandwich, it was not really seasoned. The greens tasted like they came out of a can, the hamburger was dry, and the fried green tomatoes were greasy. However, Jay at the bar was very nice and the Jolly Roger drink was everything and more! UPDATE:Spoke with the owner and she was genuinely nice and rectified the matter. Almost a week and the business owner has not even tried to make this right.. to just wave away a single dad with a 2yo... after I have done nothing but promote this business, I'm astonished. The food may be good, but I'm highly offended at being totally disrespected just because I have a child with me... 30min wait when I can see tables cleaned and ready to be occupied. I'm floored... This is the 6th or 7th visit here for us. The past visits have been pretty good. Bartender was only server working (he told us this). Still had pretty good service and kept the refills going. Ordered the Boudin balls appetizer and it was very hot, tasted great! We split a Seafood platter and it came out quickly afterwards. It was a huge portion and tasted great EXCEPT, the oysters. My wife & I both only ate one each and we both thought the same thing, funky! We sat at the bar and you can look into the open kitchen. Only one cook had any gloves on. But all could be seen scratching a nose, head... as they were going thru their motions. One cook with a huge head full of hair didn't even have a hat on. We let the bartender know of our oyster concerns and told him everything else was great. He said he'd pass along the info. My wife was going to use the restroom before leaving and the toilet was a hot mess so she turned around and we left. Seemed like the place was on cruise control. No manager could be seen, despite being short handed with only the bartender waiting on all the tables and bar top guests. It'll be awhile till we go back. A couple bites of crab were cool, like from the fridge, & not heated thru! The shrimp po' boy was a fail for the simple reason it was not PRESSED to develop the 'Nawlins flavor & crispy finish. Sad, sad because the shrimp was good! Plain mayo which may be a pass if you expect the Taste of the South touted by the establishment. I ordered a cup of soup and a side salad for lunch. Instead of a cup, it was served in a bowl and was ice cold. I never send food back, but it wasn't edible. By the time it was brought back my sister had almost finished her meal. It was obviously reheated and put in a slightly different bowl. The soup was on the side of the bowl where it has been poured over the edge. It wasn't brought back on a tray. A guy brought it out and his thumb was inside the lip of the soup bowl and was touching the gumbo. The gumbo tasted like a mixture of brown gravy, sausage, and minute rice. The salad was equally disappointing. In the end I was charged $18. Campbell's canned soup would have been better. read more

We went as a church group for lunch. Within 10 minutes.we're seated and served. The food is very very good here. Great value for your dollar. When you can satisfy 20 people in their seventies you must be doing something beyond comprehension.. well worth a visit. Servers are excellent, sunny and fun. I could say more. My mom and I happened upon the Copper Mule when visiting my brother in Bryant. A festive literal copper mule "greets" patrons by the front door. The restaurant felt kind of empty and quiet, but we know that was due to COVID restrictions and a later lunch. They had proper spacing between tables and had a limited amount of customers. We could imagine the bar busy on a weekend night, and there was also a nice outside area for dining, but it was cold the day that we dined. The restaurant looks fresh and is decorated in an industrial style with warm wood contrasted with pipe accents and open bulb lighting, making patrons feel like they are not in a strip-mall restaurant. Although the restaurant had noticeably followed proper COVID guidelines, some of the patrons were being obstinate, and the young staff were having a hard time dealing with them; we can imagine that it's hard to be a gracious host or server while still enforcing rules on customers. Two men at the table on the left and two women at the bar on the right did not have masks when they entered, exited, and visited the restrooms. One of the women was stopped by the hostess upon entering and told that she had to wear a mask, the hostess even offered to find her a mask, but the patron insisted that she would just pull her shirt up over her face and ignored the hostess. Since 4 patrons did not have masks with them while we were dining, I think this problem could be solved by offering disposable masks at the door. My mom and I did feel slightly uncomfortable with the 2 unmasked women a few feet away from us at the bar walking past our table to sit at the bar and use the restrooms repeatedly. My mom and I had the "Crawfish Cheese Dip" appetizer. The crawfish dip was beautiful to look at; the bright red plump crawfish heaped atop of it was gorgeous, but it did not arrive at our table warm which was a shame, because there were not very many people in the restaurant to serve. I also wish that I had chips instead of toast points. The dip itself was tasty-cheddar or American cheese and crawfish not only laid on top of it but also mixed generously throughout the queso and not overly spicy but spiced noticeably with creole spices - allowing the spice to just tickle the back of your tongue. The crawfish was cooked perfectly and was plump and juicy. Actually. the crawfish was cooked so well that it was able to masquerade as shrimp to my mom until I mentioned how good the crawfish was in our appetizer later that day. I added the side "Mac & cheese" which was more of a stove top version of Mac & cheese, versus a casserole, with mixed in creole seasoning. Unfortunately, this felt like a cafeteria mac & cheese to me both in taste and how it was served. I am curious to return to try sides of the smothered potatoes or the dirty rice. As for the Po'Boy. the fried shrimp was cooked to perfection with a crunchy, light, and non-greasy breading. The shrimp was so good that I just wanted to pick the shrimp out of the sandwich and not eat the rest. The rest of the sandwich was simply comprised of standard Po'Boy ingredients that felt a little bland, making me wish that the sandwich was open-faced with a handful of coleslaw or hosting a spicy aioli, but the cook on the shrimp made the bland toppings on the sandwhich forgivable. My mom said that her mushroom Swiss burger was enjoyable-the cook was correct and the mushrooms were fresh; however, we believe that the cheese was leff off when she ordered it without a bun. She also felt that the meat was a bit compressed or slightly over-mixed. This restaurant reminded me a lot of Boudreaux's in Maumelle minus the hot water cornbread. The mule cocktails looked novel and intriguing, and I was sad that my mom and I don't day drink. While we enjoyed our experience, it wasn't such that would cause us to rush back.The temperature of the crawfish queso, the swiss cheese being left off of my mother's mushroom and Swiss burger, and the patrons refusing to wear masks all combined to reduce our full enjoyment. Even though all of the items on a restaurant's menu should be memorable, I almost feel that we didn't order the right things, perhaps we should try the shrimp and grits or rice and beans next time, but those just felt heavy for lunch. We were very impressed by the cook on all of our seafood - the crawfish and the shrimp were superb. I think this restaurant would be best visited at night to get a more authentic dining experience, choosing from the dinner-suited menu items, having a few cocktails with one another, or sitting outside on the patio. I do think that this bar is settling into "its bones" and will feel more like the bustling bar that it is supposed to be when the COVID restrictions are lifted. For now, in our opinion, visit for dinner and order anything with seafood to ensure a 5-star experience. read more

I am happy to see this restaurant in the Bryant area. Theme I had a lot to choose from so I was excited to pay them a visit. I ordered fried pickle chips and lemon pepper wings. I give the pickles a "B" because they were soggy by the time I made it home (10 mins). I've picked up fried pickles from further away and have not run into this issue. I give the wings a "C+". They were VERY flavorful; not bland at all. Unfortunately I wasn't able to enjoy them because mine had a layer of yellow fat under the skin. I don't normally see that so I it was a turn off for me and I could finish them. Location is a "B". The new building is easy to find and access. Inside are a few tables, a big bar plus patio seating. I think a To-Go sign would be helpful to those picking up orders. Customer service, I give a "C". It wasn't terrible but I've been in warmer places. The lady who gave me my order was nice though. Would I go back? Probably. I'm not a detractor but I'm not a promoter either. read more
