I got a burger and fries and they were excellent. I enjoyed the ambiance and with the music playing softly in the background. Love the TVs on various channels. The young lady that waited on me was quick and very pleasant

The worst banana pudding I've ever had in my life. Can't even finish when we finally got to the center of a frozen whipped cream creation,

Good food friendly people. Went there for lunch and ended up meeting the owner. The ribs were cooked perfect.

Excellent food and service. They also have a fun trivia night! The nachos are delicious and the brisket is the best I've ever tasted.

Monday of this week, I stopped in here with some out of town guests for a quick bite during the…read morenoon hour. I had the gumbo and it was excellent! Because of the great experience I had at lunch, I decided to take my wife there on Thursday night for dinner. Let me be clear: Dinner was a hit! I will start with the Atmosphere. I will be honest, the atmosphere is nice enough. The place is clean for sure. It is not as comfortable a place as some and is reminiscent of many restaurants I have been to. By that I mean, it is almost formulaic in it's set up. Nothing about it is unique or screams Arkansas or Little Rock to me. That is OK, I just want to be clear about the ambiance of the place. I still would give it a four out of five stars on ambiance. That said, it only gets better from here! For starters, we shared the fried green tomatoes with shrimp appetizer, and it was superb! As good as any you will find in NOLA and definitely the best in Arkansas. I highly recommend. For our main courses, my wife had the bacon wrapped filet and I had the rib-eye. We had never tried Samantha's steaks before and I hate to think what all we have been missing because our steaks were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. We shared a side of cheese grits and couldn't had a better meal! For our dessert, we shared a slice of their key lime pie, and again, it was wonderful. A strong five star rating for the food here at Samantha's for sure. As good as the food was, our server Taylor was about the best I have seen in Little Rock since the days of Ashley's at the Capitol hotel. Every dish we ordered that I just described was a recommendation from Taylor. I love it when someone knows their stuff and she was super knowledgeable, with just the right amount of tending to us. Not too much looking over our shoulder every two minutes, but always there when we needed her. Samantha's is lucky to have her on their team. Another strong five star rating regarding service. Can't wait to go back. I feel like they are hitting their stride at Samantha's!

I ordered a fried green tomatoes appetizer and Tom Yum grilled shrimp entree w/ a cucumber onion salad side. The app presentation was as expected garnished and dressed with roumalade. The finished quality was sub par. The tomatoes edges were good but the center was so thick it was crunchy, 4 slices $16. The entrées are solo yet there is an expectation of an elegant presentation. Nope...two undressed, ungarnished skewers of dry shrimp on a plate for $19. That's it, that's all. The best item of the meal was the marinated 2 ingredient "salad" which was... sweet & savory $12. Lastly, what ended up being a "concept" of key lime pie. Presentation glorious, a dinner sized plate decorated with swirls and a decent size helping of a sweet item. This was what looked like an inch of cake crumbs that were recycled by pressing into a form with a 1/4 inch thin layer of key lime custard over top. $9

While the atmosphere was less than lively at 2 PM on a Wednesday, I could see this would be a great evening spot out with your friends. We kicked off with the potato wedges and OMG they were so good and the dipping sauces were so unusual, it was the perfect appetizer as we sat down starving. I had the.Peace Out bowl with grilled chicken and loved all the textures. Could've done without the pickled carrots in the bowl, that was a weird addition. Maybe would've been better as aside. My friend had the Al Pastor tacos and we enjoyed them both. Service was steady and efficient. I look forward to trying it again maybe having a cocktail or beer on my next visit.

Service was very good, no complaints. From hostess to the waiter, 5 starts…read more The food? Meh. Was ok. The birria is my go-too every where I go, tortilla, cheese, meat ratio was great, I'd even say they were very generous with meat, which I appreciated (and that's rare). The consommé was lacking, which unfortunately can make or break this dish. I perceived it was watered down to go further? Not sure, but the meat barely had the flavor as well, so not sure if this was an isolated batch issue, or just the original recipe. I could absolutely tell, the base flavor would have been good, it just reallllly needed to be more concentrated. Meat was cooked perfectly though. Rice was on point too, as a side... (and a lot of places screw up rice). I love this brand, and frequent their other establishment, so had high hopes. Recommendation for kids menu... the butter noodles... coming from a mom of several, add salt and parsley to it. Gives it a little ZIP! You had potato wedges on menu as well, maybe offer it "plain" for kids, with ketchup. I do realize it's a taco place, but parents look at kid menus before coming. When all else fails for kids, "French fries" usually work. Oh!! We sat on patio, could smell the dumpsters, if you could move them, that would be a great change. Especially in the summer heat.
