After seeing my niece graduate from college, our entire family and guests, all eight of us, descended on Coppin's restaurant for brunch. Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington. read more

This is based on Easter brunch only. 75 dollars was overpriced given that 20% tip was automatically added so service was horrible. You had to get your own coffee or tea. Ice tea and soft drinks were $3.50, All juices were extra. The only dessert was macrons and breakfast cake and brownie bites. There was no Easter anything except for a person in a bunny suit, There also was no lamb only ham and prime rib (poor quality). Raw bar only had shrimp. There were no lunch items. You could get an omelet or waffles or scrambled eggs in a serving pan. Bread pudding not what they called it (French toast casserole) was OK. They had simple salads in small bowls, small plain bagel with salmon and cream cheese that was set-up on the bar. Restaurant was half full at 1PM. Would never go back to this restaurant for any meal. Customers were taken advantage of. I felt totally ripped off paying over $300 for this (including drinks). read more

Ok... first it was raining & I was very confused on how to get inside because I didn't realize it's inside of Covington hotel. Thankfully the valet told me to come inside (Covington hotel). The service was great - our server was very attentive and accommodating. I ordered the breakfast plate that has eggs, chicken sausage, potatoes & sourdough. To be completely fair... it's a hotel so I wasn't surprised that they're serving powdered eggs. The chicken sausage is SO GOOD though. I also ordered a Rooibos tea which was great (added some honey to it). It's a very beautiful space. Great for a date or a large group (we had a group of 12). My cousin selected Coppin's for our brunch and we had good food and a great time. The atmosphere is elegant without being ostentatious, and the bones of the Coppin's department store which occupied the building are visible. Since I was visiting the area where goetta was born, I wanted something with goetta, so I ordered the Pigopolis omelette! It was served with crispy potatoes and was delicious and filling. read more

We stopped in to Coppin's for a happy hour after a late afternoon work meeting in the area. The two spritz's we had were great, and wow the menu is so great we couldn't decide what to get. The charcuterie had SO many different elements, and they all tasted so good together. The bread was amazing, and the potatoes were so good! Service was good, the person taking care of us was cool, funny and personable. The space is lovely in my opinion, I've always loved brunch here. We've brunched here too many times to count. The food used to be awesome. Everything seems to have changed. They had the best chicken sausage I've ever had. It was full of flavor and seasoning. This visit it was dry and tasted like plain ground chicken. They had dreamy light fluffy pancakes, now the texture is more dense, not great at all. A hot menu item, grits no longer offered. It was explained that only one chef knew how to make them properly. I'm sad to see this relationship end. My daughter in law had the steak and eggs, which apparently was pretty good. The goetta and biscuits and gravy were excellent, and their tots are always a winner. We had excellent service as always. The atmosphere is unique and perfect - it's one of the best decorated restaurants in northern Kentucky and I always love to dine here. Great food. Stopped by for dinner on New Year's Eve and breakfast this morning. My date and I started our dinner off with a couple drinks: I enjoyed the smoky Ava Jean, while my date imbibed the Silver Screen, a cozy beverage with a spiced chai flavor. For dinner my date and I split the Warm Burrata that we both gave high marks. This dish is often simply bread and cheese but Coppin's turned things up a notch with some delicious pears, nuts, and seeds that really rounded out the dish. For our entrees we enjoyed the Gnocchi and the Bolognese. Both were a hit as well. The Fonduta had just the right amount of truffle oil and the Bolognese included homemade pappardelle noodles in a hearty meat sauce. We both had red wine for a night cap. Unfortunately it was served cold and did not live up to the high standard of Coppin's other offerings. For our breakfast we tried the Greek Yogurt, Farmer's Omelet, and a side of Goetta. I really enjoyed the savory goetta. I liked the omelet more than my company did. The yogurt was paired with a great honey almond granola and some fresh fruit. I did however think that there was a bit too much yogurt, which by itself was pretty bland. The breakfast offerings did not seem quite as strong as the dinner. Overall the food was quite good. Service seems to be pretty on top of it, especially at the front end of your meal. They seem to get a little more casual towards the end. Food and drinks here are not cheap, but not astronomical either. read more

Absolutely worth our hour drive for brunch! We arrived a little early for our brunch reservations but were promptly seated in cozy leather chairs in a sunny atrium with a nice view of their outdoor courtyard. Brunch places tend to be packed so we were surprised that the restaurant was only about 25% full at 1:30pm on a Sunday. I hope they usually are more full because it would be a shame if they closed. We ordered cocktails and a cinnamon roll to split for starters. The warm roll topped with pecan halves was plenty to split but so good I could have eaten the whole thing myself! Our cocktails were well-balanced, not too sweet. For our meals, I had a breakfast combo and my husband got a goetta omelette. We both enjoyed our meals...I would say my biscuit was the star of the show, not at all greasy like some tend to be. It took our server a few extra minutes to get to us initially, which was no be deal because we were in no hurry, but she apologized and from there on out kept things flowing. She was friendly and helpful with giving menu suggestions when we asked. She even let me choose a free birthday dessert! We asked for it to go, which she did but not before bringing it out with a lit candle and singing happy birthday to me. Nice touch! I ate the sweet potato tres leches cake the next day and I have to say it was one of the best desserts I have had in a long time! We have already made plans to bring family back to Coppins soon and my husband and I hope to come spend the night at the hotel as well. read more

Great brunch spot. We stopped in and were taken into an open feeling glass enclosed seating area with very comfortable seats. The cocktail menu was varied and original tasty choices. We had a cinnamon roll "appetizer" that was incredible, highly recommend ordering and sharing one. I had the goetta omelet which was cooked perfectly. We had a New Year's Eve dinner here and it was quite a delightful evening. We started with the burrata, which included pomegranate and pears-an excellent pairing. The portions are appropriate and delicious. I had the gnocchi with just the right amount of truffle and my partner ordered the bolognese, which he said was delicious. The real star was the broccolini-excellently seasoned and the right amount of crunch. I really enjoyed my Silver Screen cocktail, very light and frothy. My partner had the Ava Jean which was complex and smoky. I was a little disappointed in the Pessimist red wine-it was too chilled. Really lovely service and I will be back. read more

Came here for the first time to celebrate my fiancé's birthday. We really enjoyed the food - the zucchini fritters were absolutely the best part. He loved his scallops, but my steak and frites were fine. The service we received was lovely. Our waitress was very nice and brought us prosecco at the end of the meal for his birthday. We sat in the greenhouse area of the restaurant, which is very beautiful, but it was pretty loud and made it difficult to hear sometimes. This restaurants is in the Hotel Covington. Very nice spot an old building done very well. The bartenders really know their craft they make an amazing cocktail and have a inviting top shelf I only had appetizers and didn't have dinner here, but I had breakfast the next morning. The geotta, which is Cincinnati regional breakfast meat was done very well. Service was amazing. Christie, the front of the house manager made a point to say hello and ask how everything was. If I had one suggestion, I would recommend adding a few more tapas style small bites to the appetizer menu at dinner. I would've ordered two small appetizers just to check out the flavors. read more

Did not use valet and was extremely disappointed Parking garage: near Hotel Covington's Coppins - it was an experience and do not recommend Validated parking: servers have cards How to exit parking garage: need to pay before you enter the vehicle if you do not have validated parking Server: she was the best. I cannot believe we don't have a rating service for servers yet - the only reason Coppins is getting a 4 is because of this server. Ma'am - you're amazing. Finally tried Coppins for brunch and they did not disappoint! First off, the restaurant sits inside of hotel Covington which is absolutely beautiful! There are not enough words to describe how gorgeous the space is. We made reservations and were seated right away. There were 6 of us and we tried a plethora of things. Not pictured, but others love love loved the tots, pancakes, grits, and orange cake that is listed as an appetizer but definitely could be a dessert. I had the espresso martini and the breakfast sandwich and thought both were superb! I didn't catch the servers name but he was also great and had very high energy! The atmosphere is great for families, date night or even a solo date. We most certainly will be back! read more

We went last minute as part of B line trail. We went early and were seated immed. They are in the lobby of a hotel. They have indoor, enclosed patio and outdoor seating and all in comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Prices are a little high for the amount you get, but quality was good. They recommended the meatballs and while they were good it is not a sweet red sauce (if you are Italian you know what I mean) my husband loved it and I was meh. We had the chicken with Brussels sprouts and it was good. You can try to find a spot on the street to park, or the garage but they don't validate parking. You may or may not have to pay for parking; depends on the time you go. read more

They have their own barista so the cappuccino was fantastic. The earl grey peppercorn ice cream was outstanding. Our server Dave was very knowledgeable, professional and attentive. As usual, our meals were delicious. Three friends tried the new fall menu, starting with Liquid Knowledge (like a Four Roses mule), a Manhattan and a Pinot noir served with corn madeleines. We were pleased to learn they do half portion salads, including the wedge, which my friend had with a scallop dish she described as among the best she'd ever had. I had the butternut squash bisque followed by celery root agnolotti that reheated for a treat lunch today. Our third friend had the burger that always pleases. While it was chilly in the garden room, the pleasant and professional services warmed us up, especially as we lingered over a long conversation. My wife and I went here for brunch a couple of weeks ago. There were no tables for 2, so we ate at the bar (it needed a serious wipe down, but it worked). The service was good and fast. Our meals were actually hot when we got them. It was a bit noisy in there, a lot of hard surfaces, but it wasn't intolerable. The food was good (they have beef fat fried potatoes and they were a bit weird, but they were okay). For brunch food, though, I thought it was a bit expensive. Be careful as there is also a $20 flight special, but they don't have all of the bottles available for that special so you end up not being eligible for the $20 special and end up paying more at the end. Only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise if you build your own flight, it's a great way to try a bunch of different things. Parking is easy, there is a parking garage right next door, no validation available though. And best part, great way to get some food before walking across the street to Revival vintage bottle shop. So glad to finally be able to try this place! It's in Hotel Covington and it's a bit fancier so make sure to not to show up wearing a ratty T-shirt. In fact someone did show up wearing a ratty T-shirt but I think maybe that's just some sort of style lately. I'm probably also getting old too. Back to the restaurant, my family and I thoroughly did enjoy the food. It was professional and very flavorful. The only downside was the portions were a bit small. I had the breakfast sandwich which was full of many flavors but with just a side of fruit, it didn't feel very complete. Service was very friendly and they were very attentive to us. Be ready to shell out over $5.75 for a latte. We would come back but I feel like if we want more food, there's other places to go to. read more

Enjoyed an Excellent Sunday Brunch in the conservatory style Coppin's dining room in Hotel Covington. The Porkopolis omelette with goetta, smoked ham and gruyere was so much more than a ham and cheese omelette! The accompanying breakfast potatoes were prepared perfectly seasoned and crispy and served hot. My friend loved his Brunch Burger with an over easy egg topping. It looked fantastic. Love the decor and the outdoor, light feel of the glass-covered room! Came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning and although the tables were booked for reservations, we were able to sit at the bar. Our server was very friendly; however he sneezed twice while speaking with us and didn't cover his mouth, he bent down but no coverage.. In a post-COVID world, this was very off-putting and odd to do while around uncovered food and customers. The food was good but it also felt a little underwhelming. I got the breakfast sandwich and the bacon was thin and not crispy, but I enjoyed the English muffin. My fiancée got the steak tostada and it was tasty but a bit skimpy on the steak for the price. I'm not sure if we would come back here for brunch but I'd give Coppin's another chance at lunch, dinner, or just a cocktail (menu looked good)! read more
