After lots of word of mouth positive reviews, I made the trek out here to try out the pizza that people rave about. I was just going to order a simple slice with a soda, but OH MY GOSH, that simple cheese slice was so perfect that I actually ended up ordering an entire pizza to go. That way I could bring it home and freeze individual slices for emergency meals in a pinch. This was a sit down service with someone taking your order. The girl was sweet and very friendly and fast. The plain cheese pie is perfection. Just the right amount of sauce, of cheese, crispy - no flop, baby! Just an update as of April 2025.. Dunno what's happening at this place, but all new staff, and several menu items have definitely changed! (As far as how they are prepared, and/or taste) - I'd say it's a negative.. Sorry! I love this family, but I think something must have happened as nobody there is familiar. The service is not nearly as friendly, and the food is not as good. yes, they are still very busy, but I don't get the smile and the "how's your family doing" anymore. Very sad.. I'm teetering on 5 stars! We have been coming to Coppola's for many, MANY, MANY, years, but not regularly like as of late. Their white pizza is so damned good - IDK why - something about the cheese, plus they don't garlic it up. Same with their mooshy yummy soft rolls that make their already delicious subs, steaks, etc. EVEN BETTER! Last night was the first time I had one of their entrees, and man, what a delicious choice I made! I had the eggplant parm dinner. I had it over penne pasta. It also came with a side salad AND soup and their yummy "triangle" bread. I believe it was $14.00. Now, their side salads and soups are meh. I hate to say that b/c I love this place, but the truth IS the truth. However, their "regular" and specialty salads off of the menu are EXCELLENT!!! Esp the shrimp or chicken Caesar's. I'm not a soup person (I only like thick soups and from certain places like diners (Phily, Meadows) or Val's Seafood Trattoria (restaurant) but have it from time to time. Theirs is very bland and thin. Joey had mine with a lot of grated cheese in it. He didn't mind it, but also didn't love it. Our broccoli bites were sooooo stinking good!!!!!! The only other negative, and this is bizarre, their by the slice pizza is absolutely delicious. When we order whole pies, not as good. This has happened 3 for 3 times so far??? Coppola's has so many positives, that these little things outweigh the minor negatives. Lastly, staff is friendly, personable, and truly seem to WANT to please their customers. Don't hate me locals, but this tomato pie aficionado was not impressed with the pie here. While it's true that not everyone has been fortunate enough to hail from the promised land of pies(Trenton) there are shops in this area that are really bringing their A game to this simple but elegant cuisine. We stopped in about 8pm on a Saturday night to find an empty restaurant. And after looking at the sad slices that seemed to have been languishing untouched for several hours, we felt a fresh medium pizza was called for. I love me some sausage on my half, but will not order when I see that they use the ground up and crumbled variety. That was the case here. So plain it was, but with my half containing garlic. Our selection came out very quickly which was not a good sign in my view. The finely minced garlic was not readily apparent but the waitress positioned the meal in a way that supposedly kept the spice in my direction. I lifted a slice and was rewarded with a cheese Avalanche, half of the topping just fell off. This was not the fault of the crust, which was actually pretty good. But due to the fact that the thin sauce was applied to the bottom and was too slippery to hold quick to the dough. The hidden garlic was there, but it was very undercooked even though minced, hence too strongly flavored. We were in the mood for pizza, and after finishing our meal I still was, this did not satisfy my craving at all. In the unlikely event that I would come here again, their pie would not be my choice, maybe a sandwich? This is your typical local Italian pizza restaurant. The food is just barely average, with nothing being too outstanding. We ordered a chicken parm sandwich (sauce on the side), mozzarella sticks, and a cheeseburger deluxe. Everything tasted like it was frozen, not freshly made. They have both to-go counter service and sit down waiter service. The service is slow so prepare to wait a while if eating in. There is lots of seating inside, although the decor is dated. Prices are also average for a pizza place with the exception of charging about a $1 for refills. Which I think is a bit of a rip-off. I'll prob come back to try their pizza, since it's close to where I live, but I'll stick to takeout only. read more

I really wanted to give this a good review but ended up being highly disappointed with my meal. I have ordered pizza from here numerous times and have enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I will not order anything except pizza in the future. My party decided to dine in. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. My parties meal started off with some stale bread.. which didn't matter to us too much. I decided to try one of their pasta dishes. It came with a soup that tasted and looked like it had sat the entire day. The dressing to my salad also tasted..funky? It wasn't until I received my mushroom sauce capellini that I was extremely disappointed. The mushrooms tasted TERRIBLE and ruined the entire dish for me. I couldn't even choke it down. I ordered two pizzas and two grilled chicken salads on Mon 6/26. The pizza was good as always but the salads consisted of lettuce, lettuce, lettuce and a few morsels of chicken. No cucumber, tomato, carrots, croutons. Nothing but lettuce. What a waste of money! I didn't recognize anyone there either, I think they may be under new management? Awful. read more

I've been going to Coppola's for over 10 years now. Everything is delicious and this place is BYOB. I would give this place 5 stars but they don't deliver. The pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and salads are all delicious. On Wednesday Nights, they have Pasta Night so all pasta dishes are discounted. My favorite dishes is their tossed salad with their house dressing, chicken fingers (hand breaded, not the pre-breaded kind), and their chicken parm pasta dinner. Pepperoni on one and half mushroom on the other. Good east coast crust. Ample toppings. Ready for pickup in 15mins. Of course, it was Weds, I expect the weekend are busier. We LOVE Coppola's! Their pizza & sandwiches are delicious & their dinners cannot be beat! My Mr.'s favorite is the tortellini 3Ps & I am torn, all Sophie's Choice style, on the linguine & white clam sauce or spaghetti Bolognese. They have also made "off menu" items for us & if you're looking for something light, you can't go wrong with the Caesar salad (w/ or w/o the grilled chicken) &/or some soup. I love their escarole & egg soup & while I often opt out of pasta fagioli from just about everywhere else, I do like Coppola's. Sure wish they'd make some "Italian Wedding Soup" as they sure know how to make escarole. I believe Coppola's is a rare gem amongst rocks in South Jersey. I'm not a fan of negative reviews. I would rather just not post, but with the service I received coupled with a terrible meal I feel obligated to post. We called and asked for a BLT. We were told they didn't have bread but could provide us a BLT on a roll. (Strange but we said ok). When we got our food the BLT was shredded lettuce, two Tomatoes and BACON BITS. It was NOT STRIPS of bacon, it was BITS of bacon. It almost looked like it was chewed up and spit back out onto the sandwich. Honestly I would have preferred real bacon chewed up and spit back out over the Bacon Bits they provided. We called the manager to address the situation but instead of acknowledging the error and correcting it she combated the situation and hung up on me. She said "We've been in business 30 years and don't need your business." This place already has second tier pizza but we thought we could rely on it for their other food... apparently not. This is the 3rd straight time I've been disappointed by their food. If you want to be under whelmed try them out. This place survives on a reputation, that is does not live up to. Go to Pizza Point up the street they are 10 times better. read more

If it wasn't because my children were hungry and exhausted from their long day at the Township Festival, and had I known that me and my family would've felt so discriminated, I wouldn't have bothered going into that place ever!! My husband was so upset as he felt and noticed him staring at us for a while and insisted that we leave. Absolutely love this place! We have been eating here about twice a week for many years and they have always provided us with fast and friendly service. I love the food and atmosphere! The owners and the people who work there have always been nice to us and it's our favorite go-to place. Last night they let us host our child's birthday dinner in the back. Which I realized at some point the kids are way too loud to have them sitting in a family restaurant, lol. Yet the owners remained nice and patient throughout the whole ordeal. People are very rude especially if you are not the same nationality as them which is Italian. They give nothing but dirty looks and speak Italian and insult customers.
