I'm being kind with the three stars. Greasy pizza and it was like not eating pizza - but something pizza "like." I didn't like the crust or dough and the red sauce was just meh. Ambiance: Definitely a local favorite. This isn't necessarily an eat in location. We have only ever ordered to pick up. Service: The staff are friendly and the service was good. Food: the food was good, we recommend the pizza. We really liked the wings but stopped ordering because of the price hike. Thank goodness this is not my local pizzeria. Had their pizza last night at a party. The best word I could use to describe their pizza is bland. Lifeless would be another. All I could taste when I bit into my slices was the crust. The cheese, sauce and toppings had no flavor at all. It's like they were there with food coloring as opposed to actually existing and serving any purpose. And it wasn't just like it was one subpar pie. I had slices from more than one pie and it was all the same. Thank goodness for Brooklyn Pizza in Haddon Heights where Filippo always respects the craft. Mixed bag. I ordered Veal Parm sandwich with french fries. The wife ordered chicken fingers. And we topped it off with 2 mini-canolies. The veal Parm was dry and really tough - so I wouldn't recommend that. The fries were really good for a pizzaria. My wife really like her chicken fingers. The canolies on the other hand were gritty. Not as if it had dirt in it, but as if the filling was drying out. Before I could make a final determination on the place I would need to order again but try something else. Very very good pizza! Some of the best pizza I have ever eaten, and I currently live in New York so that's saying a lot. The owner of this place was part of the family who founded Vito's pizza, and left to found his own restaurant. I think this place is better than Vito's though. Driver called to tell me he was outside of my condo. When I went out, no driver. I called the pizzeria, and spoke to a woman who didn't seem terribly concerned, and when I told her of my worry about getting cold food, I was assured "it's fine, it's in a bag". After the movies stopped over here for some pizza with friends. Walking in and it made you feel like it was a nice little corner shop pizza place . Ordered a cheese pizza for the table and it came out fairly quickly ,straight from the oven , steaming and oozing with cheese. Once it cooled down a bit I got down to eating. It was a fairly okay pizza, no sides on the table like oregano, salt + pepper, red pepper. So I could not add anything to the pizza and maybe that would have helped it out a bit. Overall not bad nothing crazy but if everywhere else is way to mobbed and you just want a quick bite this seems like a solid choice.
