I had to get a book bound for a class that afternoon. My friend went in and took my papers for me to get my book bound while I was taking another final. Every other print shop in the city told me that it would take them 2 days to print and bind. I was so worried, so I printed the papers of the book at fedex and was stumped because they did not offer perfect binding that I needed for the class. Luckily, the older gentlemen at copy network was able to help me out and was able to fix the format of my pages (that I had no idea I messed up on) and bind for me in less than half an hour. For the effort, time, and quality, the price was amazing at $35. As my friend texted me pictures of the finished bound book, it looked perfect and beautiful. I'm so, so thankful. Had a great experience here creating a four page Christmas Card. I know, four pages sounds excessive but it's even worse than that, it was four pages front and back, so really eight pages! Yikes! Who would ever have the patience to read all that? But my 89 year old father really wanted it that way, and you don't argue with your father, or 89 year olds for that matter. In his defense it consisted mostly of photographs which sort of told a story, so maybe people could stomach the eight pages. Can you tell the apple doesn't fall far from the tree? This Yelp review is already starting to ramble on. The point I wanted to make is that the owner and staff were friendly, helpful and got the project done without having to leave it and comeback later. 130 copies! I am an artist and student. This is to say, I often require high quality, affordable prints at a moment's notice. Copy Network is the best printing shop I have ever been to. The owner is an expert with ~30 years of experience. He often works with ArtCenter students who need the utmost quality print; he knows exactly what he's doing. I recently needed to print out my artworks for a last-minute art gallery. The owner immediately knew which paper to suggest--one with the right amount of sheen that would look best photographed in galleries. Along the way, he even taught me Photoshop/printing techniques I never learned in school. My images were relatively dark, and he immediately knew how much opacity to reduce the print by to offset the darkness. He printed my artworks beautifully, and they have received many compliments from other artists. The owner went the extra mile when he absolutely did not have to. copy network was so extremely helpful and they went above and beyond helping me get my book printed and perfect bound. I've never had a print shop care about my work as much as Andre has because we literally sat down for five hours trying to work with my file to get it ready to print. If you're a student please use copy network to print because I've been cheated and charged extra because i'm a student that doesnt know as much and is desperate for a good grade. Andre was extremely sympathetic when my file wasn't set up correctly and put in the extra time to help me set it up ready to print. as for turnover time, copy network knew that my project was due wednesday so they were able to perfect bind my book on the spot once i had my prints ready and did it in front of me in less than twenty minutes. the binding quality was excellent and they discussed it with me as they were cutting to make sure that my designs were intact. not only that the price is the best and fairest out of every print shop i've talked to so far. thank you so so much to copy network, i'll definitely come here again for all my print and binding needs. special thanks to Andre for teaching me so much about printing and binding as well! read more

I'm writing this favorable review of Copy Network in Montrose as a refugee from Printefex in La Canada, where I was treated rudely, insulted, and was told the photograph I'd brought in to be made into Christmas cards could only be reproduced on flimsy photo paper (which they told me was their best stuff) and could only be too dark or so light that cream colored walls appeared stark white, the light from candles and wall sconces were not visible, and there was a glare off an oil painting in the background. When I asked if they could give me something between the two extremes, the answer was "No". My answer to doing business with Erik at Printefex was also "No". Fortunately, upon consulting Yelp, I was referred to Copy Network. The owner, Andre, worked with me to create the card I wanted, with the photo quality I wanted, on the paper I wanted. He was amiable, helpful, and my full order was ready for pickup in less than an hour! And if all that weren't enough, his prices were better too! I was so grateful to have such a happy result with Copy Network after such an unpleasant experience with the owner of Printefex. I brought Andre my baby shower invitation files that I had bought off of Etsy. Well, me not being a printing expert I didn't realize that these files were FAR from print ready, although the they had claimed to be on the listing.. Andre sat down with me and patiently fixed my files, which is a very tedious job. He didn't charge me an arm and a leg and I was so grateful!! I believe most print shops would not have taken the time to help me and fix the files, they would've told me to come back with a print ready version and I would've had to start from square one. Excellent customer service! I went in to Copy Network with my wife to print a variety of brochures and similar things, that she and I had created, for her small business. We sat down with the Andre the owner, and as we went through all the documents file by file, he helped us with a whole host of issues with regard to spacing, layout, etc. The issues ranged from minor ones that were purely stylistic ("let's move this over here so it's looks better..." and it did!) to ones where the printed document would have otherwise been useless because elements didn't line up at the front vs. back for double-sided cards. Bottom line is, his job was really to just click print and collect our money, but instead he took the time to go way above and beyond in making sure we got a quality print job, as well as tips for ensuring our layouts were properly done ourselves next time.
