I made the stupid mistake of going to an MD now immediately as opposed to visiting an orthopedic. After being in severe pain for over a week I knew that I would have to visit an orthopedic. Dr. Gelb's office came highly recommended to me from a few friends. I finally set up an appointment and made it in fairly quickly. The gal that checked me in made it quick and painless. There wasn't as much paperwork to fill out as I had expected. Once checked in I enjoyed the comfortable chairs in the waiting room. Thankfully I didn't have to wait too long to see the Dr., which usually seems to always be the case and the reasoning of why I avoid the Dr. unless I'm 5' 11" in my grave. I knew that I was in good hands when I saw all of the photos of the professional athletes that had their treatments done here. That definitely helped put me at ease. I ended up having Dr. Woods whom is the foot and ankle specialist at this practice. He gave me a brief introduction on his background. After going through my X-rays from MD now, he then began his examination of my foot and ankle. After my diagnosis he informed me of the physical therapy regimen that would be necessary for my recovery. Dr. Woods also broke the bad news that I would have to wear a stupid boot for about 6 weeks :( I ended up purchasing the boot directly after my visit at their physical therapy office located next door. Naturally there were several follow up visits to check on my progress. Dr. Woods for the most part didn't keep me waiting for too long. There were a couple of occasions when it seemed like an eternity of waiting. The flip side to that was that the practice was busy and they take their time with the patients. All in all I had a great experience here and was happy with the level of care, and treatment, that I received from Dr. Woods and staff. If you're in need of seeing a orthopedic, I highly recommend Dr. Gelb's practice. You won't be disappointed.

I was a self pay besides no discussions of fee breakdown they charged for a shot for one, Dr James Provo itemized a breakdown of $1,642.00 for his visit, two charges for one that they charged, one for $452.00 and one for $450.00 for his shot, radiologic exam which never happened for $260.00, this is really a joke...US guidance needle placement that never happened for $447.00 and $120.00 for the triamicnolone acetonide (the solution) for $120.00. Then he charges another $668.00 for an evaluation, a two charges without dates of service for group physical therapy sessions, one for $717.00 and another charge without dates of service for $956.00 plus charging a computerized general print out of exercises that could help for a few sessions at $267.00. I have already called my lawyer about this fraudulent billing coming out of their Coral Springs Office at 6280 W. Sample Road, Coral Springs, FL 33017-3173. However, someone at the intake desk scanned my insurance information wrong and as a result, I had to waste half an hour with someone in India reading from a canned script trying to correct the problem. Now, I understand call centers, but having a call center for your billing issues, especially when it is a problem on the institute's end for scanning the wrong insurance information, is about as unpleasant as getting your boobs squished in a cold machine to see if you have breast cancer. Please, Baptist, DO BETTER with your billing!

She had called because her primary doctor shut down her practice without notice. She contacted Baptist primary to see if she could see my primary. She was on the phone for. a half hour. She was told my primary was accepting new patients . When. we got to the office she was told that they called us to tell us that the doctor was not seeing new patients. Absolutely no coordination. They then gave me a list of Primary doctors a. accepting new patients. On the list was my Primary who I had used for years. before he passed away. plus my current primary who we were told is not seeing new patients. There definitely a problem.
