I recently played at coral creek golf course and had mixed feelings about the experience. The course itself is in great shape--no complaints there. It's a beautiful layout and definitely enjoyable to play. Unfortunately, the customer service, especially from the staff handling the golf carts, was a completely different story. When you try to talk to them, they don't even acknowledge you. My friend attempted to make a simple conversation and was flat-out ignored. No response, no eye contact--nothing. It comes off as extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. At one point, I was waiting to board, and instead of giving any kind of direction, the attendant just threw his hands up like I was supposed to know what to do. No communication at all. That's not how you treat paying customers. I understand everyone has bad days, but if you're working in customer service, basic courtesy is part of the job. If that's something you can't handle, this probably isn't the right line of work. It's disappointing because the course itself is solid, but experiences like this make you think twice about coming back. Good thing I'm not the owner or supervisor because I would terminate all of them and make an example of them. read more

Parking is free. However, lot is one direction only. If one area of parking is full, exit out, stay in right lane, and enter again on the right to find additional parking. Driving range is covered and has shade. We shared 90 balls for $14. Payable by credit card only. Last basket to dispense balls 2:30 PM. What I don't understand is the driving range closes much earlier at 3:30 PM in comparison to golfers must return carts no later than 6:45 PM. Ample space, occasional breeze and airplanes flying over. I really liked this golf course and had a lot of fun out there. The fairways are wide and well-groomed. The putting surfaces run true, and I noted that the surrounding foliage is manicured beautifully, bathrooms are spotless, and very little trash can be seen littering the acreage. The golf carts here are, "state of the art" (GPS and electric) and they can "scoot up the hills and down the dales of CCGC". The holes on the course are set up to be challenging (and interesting)--I was playing purty darn well but pars only came when the stars align and my A-game was a'flowing (I got 5--and a birdie!) But... the most memorable part of my day on the Ewa-side had to do with how pleasant the staff was. Their hospitality really stood out. Everyone that I interacted with seemed to be on a collaborative mission to make a day of golf at Coral Creek memorable and enjoyable. The staff that meets golfers out in the parking lot, sets player's clubs into carts and sends us on our way was super pleasant and shared a welcoming energy. Later, I enjoyed interacting with the cart girl, and a few of the maintenance guys. They were all cheerful and pleasant. As the day came to a close, I went into the 19th hole (Out there, they call it, "Pueo's Bar and Grill") and everyone there was super pleasant and warm, and caring. I live in Kailua (way on the other side of the island), so the drive is a bit of a haul. But... it was such a pleasant day of golf (on so many levels) that I feel that it is well worth the drive. And therefore, I shall be returning before I have to head back to the mainland in 4 weeks. read more

I haven't played here in a while and it seems Iike there are quite a few improvements made. The course is in good shape and even if aerated, the greens were nice. The grounds crew have been working hard and they have done a great job. Hole #13 was looking good with the waterfall working and everything. I have to thank one of the cart girls for having my back out there when I needed a pick me up. The VELO doesn't make my arm feel all weird. Thank you! read more

Visiting my father in Ewa and he took my son here to hit up some balls at the driving range. Enjoying the lyfe and island vibe. My dad prefers this driving range because there is shade and seating vs other golf courses they are uncovered and no seating. I loved the cleanliness of the area and how the ball collector comes around. Hear they even have night time play. I'll have to come check it out. Small bucket for $7 and big bucket for $14. I attest that it's reasonable. It's business and everything has gone up in value. More importantly, I am all game for having a good time in the gorgeous weather.‍ read more

They kicked everyone off the course due to lightning. We were on the 4th hole. They did not give us a refund. They said "we don't give rain checks," but a rain check is when we leave the course by OUR choice due to the weather. Forcing us off the course is not the same thing. read more

I love the course, but I wish the customer service and policies were more golfer-friendly. I booked online for $55, knowing it was a weekday and a holiday. However, when I checked in, I was charged $75. I understand there may have been a mix-up, but paying an extra $20 on top of dealing with rudeness and a lack of consideration warrants this rating. When I asked for a discount, the response was simply, "It's a holiday." No apology, no small discount--just the implication that I should have known better. We played golf over here on MLK Day 2026. We had 9 people. (3 teams of 3). We got complaints about playing too slow from the people behind us. So to accommodate them, we skipped a total of 2 holes. (One on the 6 and one on the 8th. We even broke off like they told us to and we were waiting for the previous party to finish. We ended up getting kicked off at the 10th hole with the office threatening us by saying they were calling the cops even though we were peacefully leaving. There was no partial refund nor was any apology given when we were asking for one. It was bad professionalism on the staff's part. read more

This review is solely based on the staff, in particular Gary who works at the front assigning carts, outside the pro shop and the GM. If there is a policy, follow it! Don't change it because you want to help your friends out and do pickup service for them from their car. As for the GM, I spoke with him and he has no business being a general manager. When a customer comes in with a concern, please take the time to listen, acknowledge what the concern is and inform of what corrective action will be done. Please don't give excuses for why an action took place and most importantly show some (expletive) respect to the customer by looking at them and not turning your back to them while they are still speaking to you. Every customer is important and the lifeline for any business. As I read comments from years ago, it appears that this place still has the same issues. Customer service gets a minus 5 . Unfortunately, it won't improve if this is how the top of the chain of command treats customers. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. I showed up well before my tee time. Payed and went to get my cart but there was no starter to get me a cart. Went back into the pro shop. "We are short on carts so you might be starting later". Starting later is fine, but there was lots of carts ready to go. Tee time rolls around and no communication on when I would be going. 15 minutes past my tee time they load up send out a group of 12 people who just showed up. Asked for a refund. Got excuses. My God....where do I start from...? This course is not the gem it used to be. Fairways and ruff haven't been mowed for at least a couple of days. The type of grass they use, Seashore Paspalum is a very dense grass, and the blades feel sticky when they start to grow out. They grab the hosel when you try to hit the ball, and the tendency is to close the face of the club at impact, resulting in a wayward shot. Greens seems to have several different species of plants growing in some places. Lots of overgrown vegetation on the fringe of the fairways with weeds growing rampant. A half-cocked attempt to clear some of it is evident, but it doesn't help with the aesthetics when the trimmings and cut tree branches are just dumped there. It took 16 holes before I could get a halfway decent picture of a hole. And I had to crop the weeds out just to make it look semi decent. Tee boxes are uneven, with the ball an inch and a half above or below your foot in some places. The catamaran in the pond on #13 had capsized. And they left it there... Years ago, they reconfigured the course so the old #16 hole is now #10. Because of this, you won't have a chance to get a snack or beverage until you've played 13 holes. I'm told that there is a refreshment cart going around, but the girl already left for the day. It's only 2:30: the hottest time of day! Such a loss of revenue! I see some wooden structures being put up over the cart path at all the tee boxes but they're incomplete and quite frankly, it's a mystery as to why they're being erected in the first place. Money should be spent on keeping the course more playable! All this made me wonder if the owners even play on their own course. With a greens fee of $75, I expect a whole lot more. And the not-so-full parking lot on a Saturday indicates that a lot of other golfers feel the same way too. Hopefully, management sees this review and seriously start considering making improvements. read more

Range review: Nice place to go to practice at the driving range. The machine is cash only. $10 for 100 balls which isn't so bad. There are many stalls but it can fill up quickly. It is also shaded and there are some benches to sit so that is pretty neat. I like to come early morning at around 8 am on the weekends. Less busy and a lot of parking. There is also a putting and chipping area near the range. Staff are friendly and some may even give you extra balls. Will update this review when we get to play a round on the course. read more

It's been many years since I golfed at Coral Creek golf course. The course has definitely matured over the years. The fairways were nice and well kept, the greens well maintained. Most of the holes are relatively flat with a slight slope from the tee box to the greens. We had a large group of golfers which made playing a lot more fun. I paid $175 to play a golf course that was in poor condition and was nothing special. Two of the first three greens were 50% weeds. The tee boxes were poor, the fairways were poor. 1st time golfing here. Not too impressed for $69. The only reason we golfed here was to check it off the bucket list, and county courses are full post-covid lockdown. Pros: Fairways and greens were decent and not crispy dry. Cons: No restrooms at all on back 9. The carts don't gave gps on them which is sorta good because you can take the cart anywhere you want. But that also means outdated carts. Again, for $69? Nothing really exciting or memorable, or view worthy except the dirty lake with a canoe in it. For that price I rather go to Ewa Beach Golf Course or Koolina. Even the county courses are more fun for half the price. read more

A former colleague, who I haven't seen in nearly a decade, recently called to say he and his family were coming in to visit O'ahu and wanted to get together for a golf outing. He allowed me to choose the course but hinted that he was interested in playing out at the Ewa Plains. Fortunately, he gave me lead time so when I started calling around, I got BINGO! A 7:00AM tee time at this course. We arrived at the course before my other former colleagues and went out to warm up at the putting and chipping area. As soon as they arrived, we went to check in and paid our green fees ($46 Kama'aina includes cart & bottled water). There was no one ahead of us so the starter allowed us to go out before our 7:00AM tee time. Yay! The gamemanship among us started right from the clubhouse. By the time we reached the 1st tee, I was laughing so hard that I had to look at the scorecard to figure out the hole layout because I haven't played on this course in years. But, after the first hit, I regained my focus and began enjoying the layout and the verdant Seashore Paspalum grass. The putting surfaces are well-maintained and don't have much grain to them. I like this Robin Nelson designed course as it was excavated from solid coral rock and meant to hold floodwaters from all of Central O'ahu in the event of a 100-year storm. That being said, there are holes that feature a meandering stream or 6 ground lakes in the layout. The layout will delight or frustrate and challenge all skill levels. The greenness of the course and light breezes makes you forget that you're playing in a hot and dry area of O'ahu. For the pleasing layout, well-maintained course and facilities and good value of this course, we'll be back! read more

As a new golfer I came here to practice my swings and hits at the driving range today. We arrived around 330pm and bought 200 balls. About 410pm the employee came by and told us that the range will be closed at 430pm. What is confusing to me is why does the range close at 430pm but there are still golfers on the course? One of the employees at the service desk told me that the golfers had till 530pm to golf. I asked him why? Why couldn't we finish our balls at the range since the golfers were still on the course? His answer: COVID-19. REALLY??? How can a course use that as an excuse for a certain group but not all golfers? Will management please explain that to me!!! I paid for the balls and I should be able to use them all. On top of that I would say thats discrimination because one set of people (golfers on the course) are able to golf but not those at the driving range? This is really sad! I hate to give a golf course a 1 star review but unfortunately Coral Creek deserves it. I understand we're in the middle of a pandemic and times are hard but ripping off you're local clientele isn't right. I made a tee time to play Coral Creek for the first time in a few years and requested a twilight tee time. The person who confirmed it with me set me up with a 1pm slot and I thought we were set. When we arrive at the course they charged us $69 to play and I was shocked. I didn't realize until later that they suspended twilight rates due to COVID, but neglected to mention that on the phone. If I had known that there is no way we would have played this course. For that kinda money you can play , Kapolei, Or Ewa Golf course which are in immaculate shape. This was insane. As far as the course condition , it was on a city and county municipal level. Fairways and greens were beat up and the bunkers had gravel mixed in with the sand. I couldn't believed that Ewa Villages or West Loch municipal courses down the road are in nicer shape. Also hardly any yardage markers anywhere to be seen, and I remember in the past all golf carts on the course had GPS , it looks like they've done away with it. For the price they are charging it should be standard. I'd say the range is nice, but the mats are beat up, extremely uneven, and the ball machine swallowed one of our $5 bills before the round. No way for us to prove it so we chalked it up to a loss and moved on. No desire to play this course again. It's quite frankly the most ripped off I've felt when playing. Save your money and play elsewhere. This island has almost 40 other options so you won't have to look too far. read more

Maybe at one point in time it might've been good, but as of recent it is just bad. Good luck finding your ball where there should be rough because it's just weeds. Even the fairways are mostly weeds. Layout of Coral Creek Golf Course is great. Some interesting par 3's and some interesting short par 4's (love these....) I just can't make myself jump online to make another tee time here. Reasons: 1. Changed the price on me at the counter while checking in. Yep, it's in the fine print. 2. Conditions are not great. Bunkers have weeds and very little sand. For the price that I paid...I expect better conditioning of the course. I would tolerate the conditions if the price reflected the shape the course is in. I highly recommend everyone to come out and eat at this place. Manager Adel and her gorgeous ladies Adie,Magan,Nichole, and Shy are young but fun. They know how to work and what to expect to bring it. The food is to die for. We found us a Sister in Christ and the cook is da bomb.com Delicious food ever. What we had has satisfied our belly. All the years I come here with friends & family, I never had a problem with employees. Everyone is so nice to us until that one employee at the pro shop name Aaron. He's the most rude, arrogant prick. He acted like he's a CEO or something. Even a CEO won't dare talk to us like we're a bunch of immature kids. I was gonna tell my friends to get their money back so we can golf somewhere else & I almost ask for the manager but my friends don't have time to goof around since they have to go back to work. Someone told me that old man Aaron work there for years. Good thing I didn't deal with him all the time I played there 'cause if I did, I would've Yelp already. All I gotta say is that he is rude & raised his voice at us because my two friends made a mistake of paying for 18th hole when I made it for 9 hole. They arrived early to pay & I wasn't there yet. Aaron could've told them that the tee time was set for 9 holes only & not bitch just 'cause he had to make adjustments. If ur unhappy with ur job, leave. Don't give ur customers a bad day. It did screw up my day & games 'cause what he did was in my head all day. I was nice enough to brush him off that day but this I'll never forget. If anyone else have an issue with that employee Aaron, don't hesitate to Yelp his ass. He's disrespectful. I guess we'll call to see if he's working before making the tee time but it won't be anytime soon.
