Nice course. The clubhouse is new, really state of the art, you know, compared to a lot of other local spots. The course is nice, greens kept well. I booked a reservation for my friend's baby shower for 20 people a month in advance. It was supposed to be for today May 6. I had emailed our food orders and never got a reply, and also called and left a voicemail to ask questions and make sure they got our order. I got a call on Monday May 4th in the evening that they were doing aeration at the golf course and it was going to be closed till Thursday. They just forgot to tell us. We had to find a different place to have the shower. No one had contacted me beforehand. We probably would have shown up to a closed golf course. It seems like it would have been a good resturant, but this interaction makes me not even want to try it. Whoever I spoke wasn't even that apologetic, and literally was like oh well you can try moving to a different day. This was just a disappointing experience and very poor planning on their part. read more

BEST VENUE FOR YOUR WEDDING!!  We had our wedding at KGC on Sunday, 10/19/25, and it was the best decision we made.   Pros: - Beautiful landscaping - the venue overlooks the lush green golf course and had a beautiful sunset - Provides both ceremony and reception space in the same building - our ceremony took place in the Breezeway with floor to ceiling windows and cathedral-like ceilings, and we utilized both the Tee Room and Main Dining Room.  Other ceremony options were the 8th tee and the gazebo, which were outdoors and wouldn't accommodate our big Filipino and Portuguese families LOL!  The other reception space was the lanai, which we used for our pupu/cocktail hour and was open for the guests to roam around and enjoy the outdoor scenery - Because of having both the ceremony and reception spaces in the same spot, less traveling and time wasted in between   - The main dining room has 4 TVs that can be utilized during the event. We used 2 of them to play our slideshow throughout the wedding. I would program the slideshow ahead of time to make it play continuously and export them onto a thumb drive that they'll connect to the TVs (one thumb drive per TV) - The venue itself is big and open - Venue is in Kapolei, but quiet and was away from the busy highway - Free parking - Breezeway accommodated our 120 guests - Reception spaces accommodated our 230 guests - Food was super good!! - Service was friendly and professional - Bar service did NOT skimp on alcohol hehe - Their main venue coordinator, Tracy, was knowledgeable, patient, and easy to talk to - They also work with you to make the floorplan (table arrangements, vendor spaces such as the photobooth, DJ space, etc., sweetheart table, etc etc).  - 3-entrée buffet which included rice, mac salad, and dessert was around $68 per person (could be a con, depending on your own financial situation).  We had the garlic parm chicken, salmon beurre blanc, and braised beef (we originally had the 2 first entrée choices with the prime rib - BEST decision was changing it to the braised beef last minute because it was SOOOOOOOOO ONO!  And cheaper)    - Men's locker room is huge, clean and newer - used for the groom and groomsmen to get ready - Once you choose KGC, they provide a list of vendors (décor, entertainment, equipment, etc.) and they are familiar with the venue and layout   Cons: - Women's "bridal suite" is the women's locker room - small, clean and had lockers for the bridal party, but got the job done before the ceremony.  We got ready at a nearby hotel b/c it would've been too small for myself and my 6 bridesmaids to get ready - Provides 1.5 hours before the start of the event for the vendors and "helpers" to set up (I had a good amount of our own decor and equipment and didn't want to get in the way of the KGC and vendor staff) - Many events are held at KGC (night market, weddings, birthdays, retirement parties, etc), which means the venue coordinators are constantly busy and may take some time to get back to you   Overall, KGC took great care of us during our wedding, and we booked them about a year before our wedding.  We couldn't do the nitty gritty planning until maybe 3-4 months before the date, which included menu tasting, head counts, and final details but that allowed us to work on other wedding things.  The KGC staff worked with us from day 1 and we had an AMAZING wedding with so many memories and fun times with friends and family.  Speaking of which, they also gave us positive feedback about the overall venue and wedding.  Thank you KGC team and I'm excited to book future events! read more

Great service as I was treated like I was a regular. Food was fast and quality ingredients great tasting good portions. Only thing I would recommend to improve their quality service is to open earlier as they don't serve until 0900 daily and I would love a classic eggs Benedict! The view is spectacular of the course and just off a nice little lake. I love fresh linen table cloths and napkins! Prices are very reasonable. read more

Arrived at the course to find the pro shop in a tent as they're doing renovations. Checked in and headed to the range. $12 for 65 balls. Went to grab our cart and was told we could head out early...Great! Beautiful course. Tee boxes were trimmed nicely and level. Fairways and rough in great condition. Here's where it sucked. Looks like they're renovating a majority of their sand traps which was just either all dirt of rocks. The greens have recently been aerated so lots of sand and crappy putting surface. We were never told of this when making the tee time. For the amount that we paid for golf, we could've played at other courses for either a cheaper rate or a better course. They need to do better at communicating! read more

The Kapolei Golf Club is only minutes from the Ko Olina resorts, it's a beautiful course with great conditions, and tee times available. The staff is wonderful - this is a diamond in the rough for golf on Oahu, and it's at a great price and great greens and course conditions. If it's ever raining, it will be sunny in Kapolei, it's the driest area on the island. read more

I just played in a tournament on Friday and it was awesome! The golf course and staff are always top shape!! The restaurant is always great too. The practice putting green is also a 10 out of 10. I do wish someone on this side would make a good short game area that we can chip and pitch. They say work on your short game but where do I do that? Any suggestions? read more

No marshal on the course, the group in the front is teaching his child and hit multiple balls. Pretty average condition so a bit overpriced. Nobody mentioned the cart return is at 6:30 when booking the teetime. It wasn't mentioned during check-in neither. There is a cart of staffs tailing us in the back 9. We are not slow, we are waiting tee shot every single hole. The staffs were chatting very loud. You could hear them talking and laughing when you are hitting the shot. Very UNPROFESSIONAL! I've always enjoyed Kapolei Golf Club and play here almost every weekend, which made this past visit especially disappointing. During our Sunday round (10am-2pm), our group was approached by a course marshal on Hole 3 who rudely told us we were behind pace, despite multiple groups directly in front of us and no opportunity to play faster. To make matters worse, it was a cart-path-only day, so naturally every group on the course was moving slower than usual. The marshal then hovered alongside us for the entire hole, which was uncomfortable and unnecessary. The same marshal returned again on Hole 10 and told us--again rudely--to "hurry up." At no point did the digital pace-of-play screen indicate we were behind, which made the interaction even more confusing and frustrating. Notably, the group in front of us was never addressed, and the group behind us appeared to be treated the same way. We completely understand and respect the importance of pace of play, but there is a professional way to communicate that. Being spoken to disrespectfully and singled out under conditions that clearly affected everyone on the course took away from what is usually a great experience at Kapolei. This is a course we value and support regularly, but this interaction left a very poor impression. I shared this experience with management prior to this review but haven't gotten any response. Sad I won't be going back! read more

Recently, we had our wedding here. We worked with Tracy, their Director of Events, who was so helpful the entire year I had to plan my event. She offered great insight and experience that I needed to make decisions (considering I was my own planner) and was so patient with all of my questions. Tracy and her team were so awesome. They were able to accommodate all of our requests (we had a few extra tables for a memorial table, photos, and games) and her team was attentive to us the whole night. The venue itself is beautiful. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was, especially the Breezeway where we had our ceremony. They also commented on how great the food was. The big hits were the pupus (spicy ahi maki and potstickers), the pork loin (in a delicious Brie sauce) and the mashed potatoes. As a bride, I was very happy for how great the staff treated us. They save us some pupus, and plated our meals for us, then they made us to go boxes!! We didn't get to eat much on that day, so being able to have some a few days later was special for us. Amongst everything else, considering the prices in 2024 for weddings, this place was very affordable. We could not have chosen a better venue for our fairytale wedding. read more

We had an amazing time at Kapolei during our visit to Oahu. The course was better than expected, with lush fairways, pure greens and a water features that were trying to steal my ball. We had lunch and got to meet Chef Meghan. That team delivers great food and made us feel very special. Golf shop was recently remodeled, and it has everything you would need or want. Outside staff was super helpful! I appreciate their tips. Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon. read more

The lawn care guys are here again at 6am and talking loudly! So inconsiderate to my family, visitors, and neighbors! Since they want to start mowing at 6am, they should change it to 6pm, now that the sun goes down early! I've complained many times. The state of Hawaii stated they are not to start until there is light! Not only that, the weeds around the gold course are not controlled. Look closer by the main road across Walmart! By Par 5! I would highly recommend other golf courses if you want beautiful scenery and respected employees/ supervisors! RIDICULOUS! I'm ready to call the news so they can cover the rules of doing landscape this early in the am. FRUSTRATED! read more

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a Hawaiian Island golf trip. We had taken one bag with both our clubs in order not to lug two bags throughout our trip/ airports . We played at Turtle Bay , Ko Olina, King Kamehameha, Kapalua, Wailea Gold, Makai and Po'pu bay. Each of these golf courses gave us a *complementry* bag for us to use during our round. We arrived at Kapolei Golf Club and was advised that the bag is not complementary but will cost us an extra $75 before tax as they don't allow play from one bag. No where on their site under their fee's is this noted. We didn't feel this charge was justified as all the other high end courses are happy to provide this service at no charge. On the principal of the matter , we canceled our round and went to another course where they value and accommodate their customers who spend VERY large sums of money to play golf. read more

This is on my top 5 courses on the island and i've been to damn near every single one. The course is difficult with the elevated greens on almost every hole but the fairways and tee boxes are amazing. the snack shack is okay nothing special but the kimchi masubi is really good! definitely recommend the course it's about $96 if you live on island and i'm not sure the price if you live in the mainland. read more

This course is CRAP! As soon as I checked in and they said I had to buy range balls, I could tell this place is LOW CLASS. Bunkers are rock hard with 1/4 inch of DIRT. Told starters I'd love to play a quick round, and they said they DON'T WANT THE FIRST GROUPS PLAYING A FAST ROUND!!! Starters pushed a SLOW foursome of REGULARS ahead of a twosome and two singles. 7:08 tee time and had to wait on EVERY tee box and approach. If these guys are regulars, tell them they are not welcome to play before 7:30/8:00. Seems like every other green is built up on a mound and if you miss short by one yard your ball will roll thirty yards back down into the fairway. read more

This review is for the golf course...One of the best courses to play to test your skills as a golfer. It's a longer course, so if you hit like I do where your distances are generally under 150 yards with any club, then this course can feel LONG. The other challenging part of this course is the rough as the rough can be so thick and the grass really "grabs" your club so if you hesitate when chipping or decelerate, then you will pay the price when you see your ball go only 10 yards when you needed it to go 25...trust me, I've learned this the hard way. However, the rough has saved my ball from completely running away from the greens when I accidentally top the ball. The course is well kept and the greens are some of the best I've played. The green fees are pricey as it's one of the more expensive courses to play, but worth it to challenge yourself. read more

Played there Monday. Course in fantastic condition. I hacked around but wasn't course's fault, LOL. Greens fast but reasonable, fairways like a lot of course's greens. Rough cost you as it should. Had sufficient sand in bunkers too. Which has been a problem with many courses I have played over the last year. Only issue I had was GPS accuracy. Not distance to pin but beeping or even shutting cart down even when no where near cart signs and sometimes even on cart paths. Adjustments are needed. For an old guy, I need to get as close to ball as I can, LOL. Overall, a great day on the course. read more

First time here and we had a great experience. It was only our second time playing golf, so we were a bit nervous to come to a new place but it was so worth it. The lady at the golf shop even walked us out to show us where to go to the driving range. The second staff member helped us with getting clubs for us to use. They even drove us on their cart to come to the driving range. The balls were a great price. The layout of the driving range was perfectly spaced with benches under the shade for us to sit and watch. Overall, great staff, great prices for the driving range, and a great location! We will be back! This is a beautiful place to play golf! read more

Absolutely beautiful course. Booked a twilight time with kamaaina rates. When checking in the pro store you'll need to provide proof of ID. Staff are very friendly and are able to answer all your questions. It was our first time here and we had a blast. Course is pretty long (at least for us since we're amateurs) snack shop prices aren't to bad as well. Golf carts have GPS which is also a plus. Course also has a Driving range. There are some benches you can sit on if you are a guest/taking a break. Definitely will be back! read more

Went here on a Thursday and it was nice and wide open for most of the round. As always, the rough was really rough out here and grabs your club easily, but it just adds to the challenge of keeping it in the fairway. The fairways were decently hard, seeing tee drives take big bounce and rolling out, but it just shows you the reward of finding the fairway at this course. Greens were surprisingly slow compare to past times I've been there, but definitely attributed to the rain the whole week before. Overall, the course played challenging, especially with the strong winds, but fun regardless. read more

If you like 6+ hrs round than this golf course is for you. They consistently bring Japanese tourists (non golfers) who are paying premium prices to hack around the course and stall everyone else. Course rangers are useless because they are not allowed to force faster play or even kick off high paying customers off the course. Overall it is a nice setup but service and attitude is poor. If you like to play slow golf and sun bathe on the course then you should play here otherwise find other better options on the island of Oahu. General Manager Robert Respicio is aware of this issue but is doing absolutely nothing to resolve it and just reads you the club policy to avoid any rainchecks. Other employees were apologizing for what was going on because they know it is not right. I won't be coming back here. read more

Now that it is almost the holidays, we are looking for places to dine for Christmas. Last year, we had Christmas dinner for 9 here at the Kapolei Golf Course. I remember it being not great at all. It was an $85 per person buffet that did NOT include drinks. What made us choose this place was the all you can eat KING CRAB, lobster, sushi, prime rib plus other menu items. Our table was reserved for 11:00 and by the time we got there, they were only serving SNOW CRAB. Much to our disappointment, after our first serving, they ran out. It took over 1/2 hour to be brought out again and then they quickly "ran out" again. Horrible. The two guys serving the prime rib acted like it was coming out of their pocket. He served my husband and I a super thin slice of prime rib, and when I asked for another, he hesitated and gave me a look that made me feel unwelcome and selfish. Even the second time I went back with my son, the guy gave a look like "again?" - Like bro, this is an all you can eat BUFFET and it's CHRISTMAS so like sorry you have to work, but this is your job so smile and be pleasant for Christ's sake! The lobster on the other hand was great and so was the sushi hand rolls. The sashimi was good, too. Everything else was meh. Including the dessert. Nothing spectacular. We definitely ruled Kapolei Golf Course out of the picture this year. Too bad for you guys because our bill last year was $1000. We will take it somewhere else. read more

We live right down the road, and come every now and then to take our kids to play at the driving range. Always a great time, and amazing ambiance. Finally decided to try the restaurant on Sunday at around 10:30am. Wasn't too busy, maybe about 4 parties were seated and we got seated right away upon arrival. Food was amazing! The chef Darren does an excellent job back there with not only taste, but presentation! The prices are VERY cheap for the huge portions you receive! For 4 of us, our bill was less than $40. You also get an amazing view of the golf course. Masks are not required as well, which is great. Overall, excellent customer service. I'm just sad that we didn't think to come and eat here sooner. We will definitely be making this our breakfast/brunch spot at least once a month from now on. read more

The Happy Hour menu is great! We had shishito peppers and lechon kawali. The draft beer and wines were also great! The building is clean and quiet. We were supposed to tee off at 1:24 on 4/1. Got delayed over an hour because of the BIA golf tournament overbooking like 34 spots. The comment was that the lady conducting the tournament is not too familiar with a golf tournament added 34 more players last minute. So we concluded that we could not finish 18 holes. They offered maybe a discount but couldn't because we were already paying twilight pricing. So we were gonna call it a day and go to the bar. Went to the bar in the clubhouse and we couldn't get a seat because it was reserved for the golf tournament. . Many of us cancelled and sold went to New Ewa. Ended up going home and learned where we may play and where we many not What a waste of time! read more

Kapolei Golf Club is one of my favorite courses on the island. The course is always manicured to perfection, the layout is challenging, and they have a beautiful practice facility. What's not to love. The design of the course is fun yet challenging, lots of risk/ reward holes, water features, and penalizing rough. I would say Kapolei has the toughest rough of any public course on island. It really adds to the challenge. The way the course is laid out can allow for usually pretty windy conditions, you'll notice this can help you greatly on some holes, like hole 1 , but will penalize you on hole 2. Really adds to the challenge and makes it fun. The driving range and practice facility is really great. It's so great some of us even drive from town all the way to Kapolei specifically to use the range. It's worth the drive. There is a variety of targets with the yardages posted on signs, which makes practicing effective. Usually there is enough stalls without a wait. The practice green is large and rolls just as nice as the course. The chipping area and sand bunker practice area is next to the range, but it's not always open. One of the main reasons Kapolei is great is the staff and customer service. Everyone is extremely friendly, we often run into Aaron on the driving range and by the starters booth, the guy is always super nice and checks in to see how things are going. I believe the starters name is John and he always has a good joke to tell and conversation before sending you out. I can't recall the names of the two pro's they are always really friendly as well. I'm not sure who is doing the customer service training here, or who is in charge of hiring but they have a pretty great group. There is a caveat to all the praise though, they have one employee who I can't stand dealing with, an older gentlemen who works the range at night, my only warning is to avoid him at all costs. He will always have something rude to say. Whether it's about your outfit or your shoes or what not. Extremely condescending. In the past he made it seem like he was trying to avoid selling you balls so he could go home early, this is kind of mitigated with the ball machine now, but still it was rude. I must stress though, besides this one bad apple everyone else is beyond great. Overall the place is a gem, I can't speak highly of Kapolei enough. I encourage anyone who hasn't played to check it out. Play it once and I'm sure you'll be back soon. read more

Me and my three friends went on Saturday, May 9th, once they opened back up with limited tee times and restrictions and still had a good round. Restrictions were can't arrive prior to 30 minutes prior to your tee time, one person per cart, no water or any amenities on the course. They do seem to be sanitizing everything more often including the carts right before we loaded up so we felt safe. Course was in fairly good shape but they we draining the 18th hole lake (pond) and was reminded to stay out of it. read more
