Tried this cute restaurant on the basis of an Uber driver's suggestion -- and glad we did! Very fresh and tasty homestyle Italian in a re-purposed building. The menu covers a lot of classic dishes and everything we had was fresh and tasty. Our server was pleasant and attentive but not in an annoying way. Our appetizer of calamari was cooked to perfection with a light breading and very fresh tomato dipping sauce. Of our three entrees, my linguini alla romana was my favorite but that's because I like simple, straightforward dishes. The fresh, homemade pasta was outstanding. A side order of meatballs was also very tasty. The dessert selection was outstanding and we wanted one of everything, but selected the pistachio cheesecake and a cannoli. YUM. A Tuesday night in august. Waiter was overwhelwmed. Had to get my own beer glass after waiting 20 minutes. Bread for table never came until I said something . Shrimp for sale we ordered was rubbery and odd tasting .My chicken w eggplant was unedible . Cover everything With mozzarella . Typical below avg red sauce. The surprise was we ordered veal Milanese. I tried some and it was chicken. I questioned server. The cook agreed it was chicken. But still charged us. It's brigantine in summer season. They get ppl going to a renovated Wawa. I would've preferred a Wawa special for $9 instead of a 150 dinner . Get pizza for 25 instead. Tbh. read more

I had the most Delicious dinner!!! Service was excellent as we had reservations and our table was reserved. Hostess Molly seated us and was so pleasant we immediately felt welcomed. Our waitress Danielle was just as pleasant and did a fabulous job staying on top of everything.Appetizers were just as delicious and the calamari was the best I ever tasted! I am an avid yelper who has been searching high and low in the AC area for the best Italian food, last night I found it here. The food was top notch if my server had been a bit more on it I would definitely be giving this place 5 stars. Sadly the table behind me came in after me and left long before due to the slow service I received. Thankfully the chef is amazing and every dish was scrumptious. We picked up takeout. The portions were absurdly small. The food was not good. They missed items. Bad experience overall.

We love this island & the small businesses that make it come alive! We have been coming here long before this restaurant and will be coming long after it closes. Sadly, that is what experiences like tonight lead to. We were served rancid meat - the server was so wonderful & even went out of her way to try to make up for the chef's negligence. We were a party of 8, spending hundreds of dollars. We were offered excuses - "its hard to serve a family of 8" - as well as dismissive obligatory apologies from the manager. In addition to this, we were offered a $100 gift card with the caviat from the manager "I know you won't use this but maybe a friend will". Yikes... This was the most disappointing experience we've ever had & it's a shame because the servers/staff were very friendly plus the island needs great food for great people. Literally this place will never take a to-go order. We've lived on the island for decades and they always have this story about "the kitchen has reached capacity." But during COVID they BEGGED people to do takeout. I won't forget how they turned on the island and the food isn't worth it anyway. read more

Very disappointing. Ravioli were sent back because they were not thoroughly cooked. By the time I received my dish, everyone was finished their meal. One of the 6 ravioli was empty with no filling and the pasta was still undercooked and tough. Waitress was very nice and understanding. Not recommended for a good dinner. Salad is soft and soggy too. I'd say this place is one of the better if not best dinner options on the island but don't plan on super quick service. We had chicken parm, fettuccine with a cream sauce and shrimp diavola I believe it's called. All was good but must say the diablo sauce was my favorite! Meals come with house salad but be aware if you want to upgrade to a Caesar salad it'll cost you $4 extra. The desserts were yummy too and you can byob! This place packs up so arrive early. read more

Nice place in Brigantine. If you don't have reservations, you can sit outside if you can snag a spot. We brought a bottle of wine but they also serve alcohol now. They did let us drink our BYOB, which I thought was nice. Good, homemade pasta and one of us had the princess chicken, which was excellent. read more

Food was incredible. For me, I'm not a fan of "chunky" gravy but it was very, very good. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. Our order was actually missing a salad, I called and they told me they'd even deliver another one for free I decided to just pick it up. They gave me free canolis for the mistake! The best food, certainly a place to return, the meal is a 5 ***** However this food experience was reduced by the patio table without table cloth without candles. Accompanied by 4 low folding patio chairs. Two of the 4 of us are 5'3 and needed to sit up on chair edge to be close to table to eat. A member who is 5'10 was uncomfortable. Our waitress Phelicia was the absolute best as well as Liz the support staff Two of us went to the empty table next to us that had correct dinner chairs and a table cloth and candle and swapped out the chairs to be able to dine more comfortably. We would have preferred to wait for a more appropriate table that matched the high quality of food and service. A member of our party chose to speak to the woman at the maitre D's stand about above. The 70 ish woman met us with sarcasm and no kindness or conciliatory remarks. Many sarcastic remarks made us feel like a second class citizen and made us feel like I had to apologize. My sister and I have a house on the island and decided to give this place a try . We both ordered swordfish and we were sorely disappointed . Fish was super dry and flavorless and the salad was soggy. Our busboy had such horrific body odor we mentioned it to the waitress . As previously stated by others , the atmosphere is not inviting (paper placemats ,no ac , fluorescent overhead lights , no music to drowned out kitchen noice . We love Italian food and have eaten at so many amazing Italian restaurants in Philly and NY (and even right over the bridge in Atlantic City). We have not been too impressed with the restaurants in Brigantine so we were pretty excited when Cordivari's decided to open (homemade pasta, yes please!) We went on a Saturday night and it was busy - their second Saturday open. Our server was very friendly, she came over quickly and gave us excellent descriptions of the food to help us make our choices. The clam appetizer was delicious! Save some bread for dipping! Followed by salad which, to me, is usually not that big of a deal but the dressing was just right-not too sweet or tart. My husband ordered the chicken parmigiana which was excellent-very good flavor. I went with spaghetti and meatballs which was also very good. It's not my usual order but I really wanted pasta and I can tell you that the homemade pasta is really worth the trip in. The ambiance was nice-it's a smaller place and we didn't think it was too loud. We only felt the room temperature was a little warmer than some restaurants (I'm usually cold) but also to note we were seated by the kitchen. Service was great -not too fast and not too slow. Maybe only one hiccup to mention, we probably waited a little longer for salad than usual. We actually started to wonder if salad came with the meal but we just grabbed our server (who was always close) and she assured us salad was coming and then it came right out. This is not a big deal to us, we like to enjoy a meal out where we're not rushed. I'm giving this 5 stars because it is delicious Italian on the island. We're new to Brigantine and have tried all the restaurants, and this is hands down worth the visit. read more

Wonderful restaurant, food was excellent, my husband can't stop raving about his dish, the seafood pescatore and mine was equally amazing, the capellini calabrese. Very accommodating to my daughter's request for pasta with butter that was not on the menu but they prepared it for her . Very friendly hostesses and waitress. We didn't have a reservation, the online system wouldn't load for me on my phone, but I am so glad we tried anyway and they were able to accommodate us. Extremely poor customer service. Called early in the day to make a reservation. The manager said no reservations were available for inside all night but that we could stop by and try for an outdoor table as they were first come first serve. I told her the sis r of my party and my name. When we showed up, there were plenty of outdoor tables including a picnic table that was perfect size for our group. The hostess said she had to check with the manager first. When she came back, she said they did not have enough space for our party outside. I explained that I had called earlier in the day and the person on the phone said it wouldn't be a problem to get an outdoor table. The hostess tried again to talk the manager agreeing with us that the big table would work for us. Again, she returned saying they would not seat us saying the kitchen was too busy to take our orders, completely changing their story. At this point our friends were upset and left to go somewhere else. I walked into the restaurant and asked to talk to the manager and gave them my name saying I had called earlier and was told it wouldn't be a problem to sit outside. Because I was plenty loud in front of an entire lobby if waiting people, the manager changed course saying "we can seat you outside, it shouldn't be a problem." I angrily told her half my party already left and no thank you. Horrible customer service and a complete waste of my time all day calling and planning it out. Then, changing your story. No thank you. We will not return. Ended up having a wonderful dinner at Brigantine Bistro which was actually so much better and BYOB. Save your time and money, go to Brigantine Bistro!! read more

We walked into the restaurant, pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and staff. The staff was extremely polite and cheerful. Our food was just average. The fried calamari was bland, needed more salt and seasoning. The bread was not warmed or crispy - no olive oil was offered to us. Our meal was surprisingly small. The seafood with pasta had small amounts of seafood and limited sauce. The shrmp was cut in half to look like a larger quality. We hope this restaurant came set up snf makr some needed changes to their menu. We hope for their success in our town of Brigintine. read more
