Went looking for a good price to repair the negative battery cable for my 2016 Tahoe. CORE responded quickly with a good timeframe for when the repair could be completed at a very reasonable price compared to the other estimates I got. When dropping off the vehicle I also asked for a piece of trim to be removed from the front bumper that was starting to come apart. I worked with Joey and the team to rebuild the 396 engine in my 1970 chevelle. After looking at several options, I felt most comfortable with Joey and his team. Joey was very flexible with great customer service skills. Adam was the lead mechanic who has his own hot rods so he had the skills to do the work. The rebuild had a number of challenges which delayed the process including an issue with the initial engine rebuild that Engine house did resulting in a 2nd removal and rebuild. Core covered the cost and held Engine House accountable to fix it. I could not have done this level or work myself so it was great to have partners to work with in it and very happy to be driving my chevelle again and now with a freshly rebuilt engine! Car was done for suspension wise, had 3-4 other shops look at it and this was the only shop to say "let me do some research on the part and car and will get back to you" instead of just telling me they already know what's wrong and telling me how much they needed. I took my car in to get control arms replaced and knuckle replaced and was charged less than what I got quoted for just the knuckle from other places, they also gave extra services for cheap, will be bringing my girlfriend and her family here for now on. So, Core Automotive took over Performance Automotive where I previously took my car. I needed an alignment so I trusted in this new place and I think they did a good job. They said they would keep their prices in line with what Performance was charging so that's nice and they did the work quickly. I had a part replaced by the CORE team in July 2020; since then, the part has once again failed and I have moved away. I have requested the part's warranty information and documentation from Andre for *months* now, and despite multiple attempts at civil phone calls from both myself and my new mechanic, have yet to receive any information, and have essentially been strung along on a wild goose chase of flimsy excuses. These actions do not reflect a respectable company and reek of shady business practices. Incredibly disappointing and would not recommend anyone bring their car to this team. read more

Incredible service from Core Automotive. They went above and beyond for me this past week. After a long day with lots of car trouble and getting the "run around" from other businesses, they showed me the best customer service I have received in a long time. Some previous work that was done on my car was done incorrectly and they told me this and gave me advice on the way to go about fixing the issue. Once again, the best place I have ever taken a vehicle. This is the second time i have had them do work on my Hummer. This time it was a transmission rebuild. These guys are absolutely awesome. And the manager Andrew is a great guy. Very honest and the most fair place Ive ever been too. If I need anymore repairs on any vehicles I will no doubt go straight back to these guys. 6/23/2019 Update to my original review: Soon after posting my original review I was contacted and offered a full refund. I changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars for this reason. The shop employees were friendly and courteous but they weren't equipped to work on my particular suspension. Original review: The fact that this business made my car worse and still took my money rewards them with one star. I made an appointment and brought in my 2015 BMW 435i M-sport for a simple rear wheel camber alignment. They had a $75 coupon online and the dealer charges $169 so I figured why not. The reviews I read were good. The staff was friendly and they got the car on the rack fairly quick. I waited in the lobby and it took about an hour for the alignment and test drive. Then the tech came into the lobby and told me that their alignment equipment didn't have the correct software for the M-Sport suspension. (At this point the tech should have ceased to perform any work). Instead he told me that they would just improvise from what there machine told them and from previous results that I provided to them. The work was already done so there we were. He showed me the results from his machine and they looked correct and in spec. (I know where the camber was supposed to be).I took it for a short drive down Priest and returned to the shop. There was so much traffic and construction on Priest that I didn't get a real good feel for it but it seemed to drive OK. I returned to the shop and paid the bill. After leaving the shop I got it out on the I-10 to head into work. At about 60mph the car was so loose that I could barely keep it in the lane. I got really frustrated at that point. There was no point going back since they told me they didn't have the right software so how could they possibly correct it. I made an appointment with BMW of Chandler the next day. They performed an alignment and the before and after results showed that Core adjusted the camber in the wrong direction taking it farther out of spec making the car undrivable. After learning this I returned to Core to show them the results and politely asked for a refund of my $75. Since there were no parts involved and only labor and without the correct software they couldn't have made it right if they wanted to. I think this would warrant a refund. I was told that a refund would be a decision of the owner and I should be receiving a phone call. Its been almost a week and nothing yet. If this business comes through with a refund I will gladly change my rating for operating an ethical business. If not, my 1 star rating stands. read more

We took our Jeep here after a car accident. The Manager did not do his job, the Jeep ended up being there for FOUR months, and at that point the insurance company got tired of their games and decided to total out the vehicle. The Manager was not getting approval from the insurance company to buy parts, etc. We had to keep calling the insurance company so they knew what was going on. We are out four car payments, four months of insurance payments and four months of rental car that all came out of our pockets and they didn't even care. The Jeep was "promised" to use mid-March (keep in mind they got the Jeep in January). We found out they let it sit there for three weeks with nobody working on it because the manager couldn't do his job by not contacting insurance; therefore, none of the mechanics would work on it for fear of not getting paid. Then it got to the point that they couldn't figure out why all the lights on the dash were on, and ended up towing it to TWO different dealerships to look at it. This is when the insurance totaled it out. Stay away from this place, they don't care about you and will take advantage of you as long as they can. Unfortunately this was a very expensive lesson for us in trusting them, in the end it cost us over $8K out of our pockets that we won't get back. The Manager said he would refund us the car rental since this was his fault but we haven't seen a penny! read more
