Our usual shop was bought out by Gemba Automotive, a group buying up local shops and rebranding them under their name. They did not keep our usual mechanic. Then we heard through the grapevine that our friend Gary started working at Shorie. We'd instantly trust any shop he worked at. Coincidentally, our vehicle began making loud noises and needed attention just about then. Perfect timing. Evidently, when cooling fans vibrate enough, they break off and cause severe damage to your radiator. So, we had our vehicle towed into the shop and had a rental for over a week because we had to help some friends in Yuma. Schorie was fantastic. They did all the work on our vehicle while we were out of town. It needed a few more things, so we authorized the additional work. The estimate was less than other shops had quoted us (for the front rotors and breaks). We came home, drove over, picked up our vehicle, and were super happy with the work that was done and the warranty terms. Aric was terrific to deal with the entire time on the phone and then in the office as well. Bait and switch price hike. I clicked on ad on social media and I ended up making an appointment. $39.00 for full synthetic oil. I even asked what type of oil before I scheduled the appointment. I told them my type of car and they scheduled me. I arrived and After waiting 15 minutes they tell me you are aware of the extra fees because of the type of car. And it's $119 dollars. I said no I don't want the service done give me back my key places like that can't be trusted and the last thing you want is a shady place that may or may not actually don the the work they say they are going to do. Get a second opinion. Don't accept what they say without checking another shop. Asked for a tire plug as I had a nail in my tire. I was not quoted a price or anything as MOST shops in the valley offer this service free. I was charged $43!! Then I was given this absolutely ridiculous "game plan" for things wrong with my car. I called the dealership I purchased the car from and they advised against any of this. That is REAL sad that a dealership had my back over this once loved mom and pop shop. Went in for the full vehicle inspection , paid almost 200 for them to say nothing is wrong. Let me also say I made an appointment for 9 am and did not get it back for over 24 hours. Now, they said nothing was wrong. However, not even a week later my control arms / ball joints on both sides and tie rods needs to be replaced. I took my truck to them to fix my leaking transmission come to find out my extended warranty would not cover the repair they told they thought I would need a new transmission but my truck ran good i never slipped did make any noise and shift smoothly so I told him to replace only the seal, and I would pay for it. They said they would they called me and told me my truck was ready to pick up. They told me it would cost $1500. I'll show up to pick up my truck and they told me. My truck does not have a transmission seal the they would have to take the front of the transmission apart and that would be $1700. So they put my truck back together without repairing it. They charged me fifteen hundred dollars just to look at it. I looked at the paperwork, they said, I decline yhe repair . That is false, buyer beware. Stay away from this place. read more

After recently moving to the valley, I asked neighbors and friends about referrals for a wide variety of services. In all 6 cases, Schorie was highly NOT recommended. Stories of 'found shavings' and other costly previously undiagnosed mechanical failures just waiting to happen. My take away, Schorie personnel lack integrity. pros: they found the issue with my car and had it fixed in two days. cons: they were on the higher end when it came to replacing the front wheel bearings ($1500). Do your research and get proper quotes from other shops knowing Schorie will be on the higher end for work completed. No big deal. We dropped the car off and they did the service. After the service, they said it will be $120. They did not tell us before they started the service. The owner texted us asking how our experience was after, and we told him. He did not care. Our BMW has been leaking oil from where they change the oil filter ever since. It is literally so bad, there's oil all over our drive way and we opened the hood and saw oil is leaking out. Before this appointment it was not leaking oil. They charged me $378 and all my car needed was an air compressor relay (aka large fuse) snapped into the relay fuse box. Also when I brought to the front desk guy's attention that I found them through repairpal.com and it said that they were a member of this group and quoted me a price range much lower than what he charged me, the guy acted dumb and said they weren't associated with repairpal.com however that's who recommended me to them. The guy they have running the front office seems shady, plays dumb, and rips people off. They also charged me $69 for that relay when just down the street it was $24.99 for the exact same relay. Oh and a mechanic didn't snap the relay back into my fuse box, this front desk guy did. Do NOT use them. read more

Excellent place to get an oil change. However, beware if you ask them to check out your car. They may surprise you with at $150 charge for a 15 minute check like they did me that I thought would be free like it is at most places. When saying it would not be a problem to check the gentleman did not inform they charged $600 an hour for what others to as a courtesy. So beware!!! They were very clear with the inspections and took the time to explain the needed repairs to me, a lay person. Explanations were never too time consuming for them. Much better then the dealership. There was much work needed (not surprisingly) and gave me the top needed for the safety of the vehicle and what could wait. The repairs were done in a timely manner and communicated to me throughout the process. Even tried to help with some warranty issues. They followed up with a phone call to see how the jeep was doing! The estimate system they use is very straight forward and well documented with the mechanic notes and photos of the issue or diagnostic report. Communication was through phone, email, and texting. I had some diagnostics done along with an oil/filter change and some other minor routine maintenance things taken care of. The diagnostics cost $330 and they cleared one code but weren't able to clear the second code that was indicating we needed to replace/rebuild the transmission (it drives and shifts fine), so the check engine light is still on. The net result was it cost $330 to have one error code cleared with no actual work being done (?). Don't understand that, but what the heck. They do have a shuttle service, which was handy one way - had to Uber it back to pick up the car), which is okay. They were friendly, work in a well kept facility and the routine stuff went well - just question the charges for the diagnostics and no fixes. read more

Great service, honest work, personal and professional. I have an 2003 convertible that was giving me a battery warning light. Online resources were saying this was a challenge, the team at Schorie ran it through their computers over two days and found it was a simple computer reset. Had I gone elsewhere I suspect I would have been soaked for a new alternator and a $2000 invoice. We took our car in for some work they recommended. (Brake flush / shocks)We get the car back the VSC system light, check engine, alert, and traction control warning lights are all on. Now the tire pressure display doesn't work, and the park/hold control also doesn't work. They broke things on our car and want to charge - OVERcharge to find out what it is. They want to charge us for diagnostics to see what the problem is- $130. Most places charge less for diagnostics. After many thousands of dollars spent on several vehicles over the years (+many referrals)- and an issue we believe THEY caused... terrible way to treat loyal customers. We always had them fix anything that came up- this just cost them thousands in the future. I can no longer recommend them. read more

New to the area...I dropped off my 2000 Lexus GS 300 for the 120,00 mile service. It is showroom room condition only having one elderly owner prior to my recent purchase. Lexus suggests replacing the coolant and upper / lower radiator hoses at this milestone. I authorized that work along with some other preventative maintenance. After running some quick errands I parked it in my garage at which time I heard what sounded like a whistling / pressure releasing noise. I popped the hood and noticed that coolant and steam was starting to come out near the upper radiator hose / radiator and boom....Coolant all over the place etc etc. I called them and they immediately sent a tow truck to my house. A few hours later I got an update advising that the radiator had failed. Without a question the shop had a new one en route at no charge. Those who know automobiles understand that this type of issue was most likely not their fault. Flushing the radiator, replacing the hoses and adding new coolant may have been to awesome for the older radiator even though it was in good condition! I will definitely be back in the future for not only this reason but several others...Their customer service from start to finish was A+ in a time where there are a lot of Covid excuses 2 1/2 years later:) read more

I took my 2005 GMC 3/4 ton Sierra to Shorie's to have them complete a 100,000 mile checkup. Dropped it off at 9 AM. They provided, by email, a complete diagnostic with pictures. Called and talked about what was needed and then proceeded to fix everything. Got my truck back by 5:15PM. The truck drove like new! I knew it needed new batteries (it has two), and all the fluids changed. The idler arm was replaced and the linkage tightened up. I couldn't be happier. I've had the truck since new and it feels new again. Thanks Schorie. You did a great job in a timely manner. Can't get any better than that! read more
