I have an HMO due to being unemployed from Covid, and only having a few insurances to pick from in the market place, and they have helped navigate the complexities of referrals and have always been quick to help when I need it. 10/10 place. I also don't believe my referral notes/records were reviewed by Disiree. I left without a clear plan and would have appreciated a discussion of the full range of options for my condition besides prescribing me opiods then stopping without weaning me off. I had a disappointing experience with this office regarding billing practices. During my visit, I was charged for tests that I did not authorize and that were not clearly explained to me beforehand. At no point was I informed about the necessity, cost, or purpose of these tests, nor was I asked for consent before they were performed. This lack of transparency is concerning and, in my opinion, unacceptable in a healthcare setting where patients should be fully informed about their care and any associated costs. When I followed up to address the issue, I did not receive a satisfactory explanation or resolution. Patients should not have to deal with unexpected charges for services they did not agree to. I recommend that anyone visiting this office ask detailed questions and confirm all procedures and costs in advance to avoid similar issues. read more

I made an appointment through ZocDoc for a suspected broken finger. I filled out all the insurance information and their intake form. I got a notice the next morning that they needed to talk to me about my appointment request. They called me while I was in a meeting, though it only rang 2-3 times with no voicemail left to indicate what additional information was needed. I attempted to call them back twice to discuss the issue and no one answered and there was no voicemail box for me to leave a message so they cancelled my appointment. It's incredibly frustrating and disappointing to make an appointment for an issue and the office not answer multiple call attempts to resolve an issue that is unclear in the first place. read more

I've been a patient here for 3 years, seamless experience everytime time. For my most recent physical, I completed the forms necessary online prior to arrive. I waited less than 5 minutes to be seen by a nursing professional. Seeing the doctor was a breeze, my vitals were taken quickly, and the drawing of blood was as clean and pain-free of an experience as you're going to get. I have no actual review of the clinic, as my appt was ultimately canceled. I booked with them a day prior using zocdoc, for a 1pm appt the following day. They reached out at 421 that afternoon to tell me the copay amount followed by letting me know of their late cancelation policy. Thought we got everything squared away and were good to go. I then get a voicemail at 603 stating that they need to reschedule because ZocDoc only schedules 20 min appt and they were going to need 40 min for an IUD removal. Called them back to reschedule at 610, and got the automated line. Called back first thing this morning at 811, told them about the voicemail and they argued with me telling me that they had no idea about the voicemail, and that there was no mention of rescheduling on my chart. THREE MINUTES LATER, I get another call/vm from their office telling me we need to reschedule. To which they offered me a 4pm visit. After the hassle of trying to schedule with them, I decided to find another clinic/provider. The only pro I have is that thanks to their screw ups, it saved me from having to late minute cancel due to being fed up with them. Hello Yelp, I drove from the outlet mall to Katy having serious health conditions and was turned away for being 2 minutes late. They gave no regard for my health and why I was there in the first place. They offered for me to accept a 4:30 appt. A whole five hours. This clinic does not care about people, the humanity that comes in for medical Treatment. I spoke to the office manager, I asked so it's just the Dr's who are important here and she responded, Yes. NO concern. I told her the Dr's don't spend anymore then 15 minutes if a patient is lucky and there was noone in the office waiting. The arrogance, the uncaring and cold manner in the way they conduct business is reprehensible. Sorry, sorry sorry that's all they could say. Don't talk about, be about it, do the dam thing and change! Their sorry meant nothing when I'm driving for such a long distance with memory loss. I would caution anyone to think again when dealing with this medical group. All that we are considered is a paycheck not a human who needs serious medical care. They all sounded like robots and very comfortable to turn me away. This comes from the top. I don't care who these Dr's think they are. They are irresponsible, selfish, uncaring, rigid and not adhering to their oath. Please take into account how they see things. This is reprehensible. A whole 2 minutes and I was told they could not see me after waiting two weeks. Not even real.people, just repeating what they are told by the Dr's. They are all shameless and show no empathy. I wish this place was as reliable as its location is convenient. I regularly have to call to remind them to refill my prescription when I need them to - even though it's supposed to be automatic - and yet, more than half the time they still fail to send it in after numerous phone calls. So what ends up happening virtually every month, is that I have to mediate a game of telephone between CORE and my pharmacy wherein the pharmacy will say they haven't received the new script, to which CORE will then relay that "your provider has been notified." If it was simply a matter that was resolved in a day or less, I wouldn't find it so irritating. However, this whole process usually takes course over several days before CORE follows through. I don't know what exactly the issue is on their end, but it all just adds unnecessary stress to what should be a routine matter. I've never had an issue with CORE when I actually have to go in for an appointment. The front desk reception and physicians all seem helpful and orderly, and I've never had to wait long. I don't know why that doesn't translate to matters over the phone, but hopefully it's being addressed. read more

The PA was amazing and very thorough. Yet, upon arrival you scan a QR CODE and no one was there to greet me up front. You could hear the staff laughing in the back. When someone did come up front, she seemed quite annoyed I was there. It also took me 40 minutes to get my blood drawn after the PA left the room. I had to go up front and ask for someone to come draw my blood because it had been so long. The walls in the office are also very thin, I could hear the man's phone call in the room beside me clear as day. All this said, I still recommend the PA. She was fantastic, just be prepared for everything else. read more

My first appointment with Emily Song was a GREAT disappointment. She refused to give me refills of my prescriptions, esp. Dutasteride (Avodart) for BPH, which was prescribed by Urologist Dr. Irving Fishman more than 20 years ago with good results, unless I see a Urologist. As I had been to at least four other Urologists since then with NO better (Worst) alternative prescriptions other than the one I'm already taking, I refused to see another Urologist, who would just treat me like a guinea pig again to try out their new drug samples, like, Oxybutynin (Ditropan) and Nocdurna (from UK), which worsened my BPH with aggravating side effects. Two Urologists had wanted to do TURP, which killed my father two weeks after the surgery from complications in 1995. I decided not to follow her persistent demand and left the office with no refill. I had to call the office on a different phone to get off of hold. He then threw his coworkers under the bus saying the problem I am having is because they said they could do too much. I'll start by saying usually do write reviews. The clinic is very convenient as far as location. The staff is nice. But.....to speak with someone, or make an appointment is the worst efforts ever. They suggest or offer for faster service to text to which the response or reply time is 2-3 days. When calling, the hold and wait time is the worst as well. This place charged me a no show fee after my appointment. The money isn't a lot. But I do not want any of my money going towards this business. I went in for a Pap smear. I got brought back at 3:08. The nurse left my room at 3:14. Then I waited half naked until 3:50. For no one to come check on me and warn me it would take this long, no doctor, no one. They did not warn me at all I would be waiting there for so long half naked. When a nurse says the doctor will be right in and I wait 40 min for service that is ridiculous. I did not appreciate the service at all. When I explained what happened they did not care. They only care about their side of the story. There are so many doctors in Houston do not go to this primary care. The doctor that was suppose to help me that day was named Amy. I've not once felt rushed, and they really care and do their very best to help as much as they can.. I went in for a laser hair reduction consultation November 19, 2021 where I then proceeded with treatment for the first-time ever. I received treatment on my legs, arms, and neck/side burns. Experience was PAINFUL to say the least to the point where when the laser touched me, I jolted various times due to the pain and my legs trembled throughout the whole session and yet, did the PA, Avery Schwartz keep going despite how unusual my reactions were and very rarely asked if I were okay. In fact, the assistant, Allison, did much of the talking to calm me down. Come to the end of the treatment, did they notice burns on my arms, and stated they'd adjust the laser settings lower NEXT TIME (why were settings not lowered the first time?), to which I was unaware of during the procedure due to the protective eye-wear I was wearing and only then (after the session) did they ask me to sign the consent form (I definitely felt taken advantage of as it felt they were protecting themselves). Immediately upon coming home, I find burns ALL over my body from my neck, to my thighs, to my arms, to my shoulders, to my legs, to my knees. Pictures only show some of what I experienced. My own PCP confirmed I have first degree burns and that it is very possible scarring will occur. My experience at CPC Aesthetics has been painful, traumatic, and quite literally scarring. I would not recommend this place for the risk of this happening to anyone else. I recommend finding another place to do laser hair removal as I went in wanting to feel more beautiful and came out never wanting to do laser hair removal here again. I cancelled my future sessions and was given a refund of my first payment and spoke to Avery Schwartz showing her all the evidence of what happened as product of her work. She even stated that they usually do more skin test patches to make sure the laser is compatible with the skin, although they didn't do that with me for the purpose of expediting the laser hair removal sessions. I had never mentioned that I needed this expedited and if I knew of this risk would've wanted test patches done before any treatment. Extremely lacking on their part. Although she apologized, nothing can quite make up for this unprofessionalism and negligence. Please take care of your skin and do better than here! read more

Physicians are fine but wait time between the health coach getting your medical history and the physician seeing you is a bit ridiculous. I had one that could not even see me and another had to step in after sitting in the exam room for well over 30 min. Stay away! I have given this office plenty of time (like a year and 1/2 and probably 12 visits at least) to correct issues that they have had but they continue to get worse. No follow through. Consistently forget to call in prescriptions even when they have called YOU to say you need a certain med. Ever changing policies for example, telling you on Thursday to stop by for a COVID test anytime and when you make the trip there on Monday for the test - and the front desk tells you they no longer take walk-ins! Virtual visits are a joke, provider yawned thru the whole visit. They also have others in the room for your virtual visit without telling you who they are which made me uncomfortable. One person tried to draw blood on 2 separate visits and bruised both arms but never was able to get a sample. Went to another provider immediately after and they had no issue with the draw. Oh wait and did I mention that I was late ONCE by 11 minutes, even though I called and said there was a traffic issue and I would be there in 5 minutes when I arrived they took my copay and stated BTW we have a new policy if you are 11 minutes late you have to reschedule. No regard for all the on-time arrivals or the wasted trip at their request for the walk-in. They are opening a new office in Sugarland and are too busy with those logistics to see a long time patient for a sick visit so none of this probably matters because they probably won't see you anyway. Save yourself the grief and find a different provider. read more

Typical conventional medicine. Avery is conversational and at first seems to listen but ultimately prescribes run of the mill treatments. Severe multi-year insomnia is chalked up to a simple case of over-worrying. Binge eating is dismissed as a lack of will to continue running CBT techniques into the ground despite years of effort with limited results. Additionally, binge eating is dismissed as a real issue because my weight is currently within a healthy range. Minimizes severe stomach bloating and digestive issues. Depression is a result of insomnia, lack of therapy, etc. Prescribes run of the mill antidepressants, exercise, CBT, and over the counter sleep aids. Go to any conventional doctor and they'll give you the same story without listening to how you have already tried these treatments over multiple years and without looking into the root biochemical causes. I was hoping Avery's approach would be similar to functional medicine but without the no-insurance accepted price tag of most functional medicine doctors. I was wrong. Additionally, billing was a mess, so the receptionist instructed me to wait to schedule a third follow up appointment since they didn't know what insurance would actually pay for. This ultimately deterred me from continuing to go as I'm still in the midst of sorting out a $800 bill for a regular check up and 2 follow up visits for a very basic antidepressant after 2 months. Lastly, wait times are very long (about 2 hours for a regular visit) and any time you call you will hear all of their big pharma-sponsored ads tell you all the services this place can offer to help you lose weight and look younger. Would love a referral to a doctor who treats root causes and focuses on whole health over cosmetics. read more
