She drops her patients when they reach age 65 as she doesn't want Medicare patients and she is very rude about dropping them also.

I have been coming here for a few years now, and overall I am very impressed. I have visited many…read moredoctors' offices in the past, and this one has raised the bar for me. I love my doctor, Dr. Cassandra Wertz, and her nurse Dee. They make an awesome team, and always make me feel supported and never rushed, the way that many physicians tend to be these days. All my questions are always answered fully and I leave feeling reassured. Dee is also a rockstar when it comes to drawing blood! She makes the whole process fast and as pain free as possible. I'm not a fan of needles, and she makes it much more bearable! The facility as a whole is well-kept, crisp, and modern. There is even a little refreshment room in the waiting lounge for the patients. The only downside is that you have to pay for parking, but it is only $5 and I can usually find a spot pretty quickly. You pay for your parking at the front desk when you check out, which makes it a smoother process to leave rather than tracking down a machine. Valet is also an option.

Medical Clinic of Houston has instituted a policy where ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS asked or…read morediscussed during a preventative health visit (aka physical) may result in the physical visit being billed for both a preventative health visit and an additional office visit without prior notification to the patient. This can result in double billing at the physicians sole discretion without the patients consent or prior knowledge and possible resulting co-pay costs billed to the patient and double billing to the insurance provider. This potential for double billing rests entirely with the acting physician and without prior notification to the patient that this will take place. If you don't want to be billed for both an office visit and preventative health visit, then your option is not ask questions or discuss your health with your physician during a preventative health visit (physical). This does not promote Doctor Patient relationship, this provides an opportunity for Medical Clinic of Houston to double bill your insurance carrier for each preventative health visit.

Lol now a few days after posting my review the Dr's office says they are terminating their services…read moreto me, w no reason why. They loved my 1st review which was 5 stars in 9/2020. But they don't like the feed back on my 2nd review. That just shows my point, they have no conflict management skills. Just make a better effort to communicate better. And I would have gladly updated once I experienced an improvement. This has never happened to me, but I have already found another PCP and didn't plan on going back. Growth is inevitable, whether they took this opportunity to provide better service in this instance or not. It will happen again to another patient. They can stay comfortable, kicking ppl out that are dissatisfied. But that not how you run an effective business or grow. Whoever is in charge should know this.

He prescribed me azythromycin and recommended Robitussin DM and a couple other things. I haven't finished the azythromycin yet, but I was feeling better in only a few days. My mucus switched back from green to clear in no time. I can sleep again. I'm grateful to Dr. Manuel. On my first visit, he spent much more time with me than any other doctor ever has. He got a clear picture of my family's medical history, from which we discussed my possible risks. He followed up with an emailed order for blood work, and which we had also discussed during the visit. He displayed a genuine concern for my overall well-being. I look forward to him being my physician for years and years to come.
