Really love the freshness of all the ingredients from the purple rices to the pickled red onions. They give you the option to build your own bowl which is the option I always go with. I highly recommend the Buffalo chicken bowl with purple rice and romaine it's an amazing combo. I will switch up the toppings regularly, but the some of the toppings like Gorgonzola, Jimaca, kimchi and sriracha sprouts aren't household staples. Things have been steadily going downhill at this CoreLife for a while. A couple of years ago, I was ordering from here twice per week. Now, after today, I've probably had my last salad from here. The last half dozen times I've ordered, quality has been uneven. Either poorly prepared, too small, or with little effort (mix in dressing instruction, instead they chuck a couple of dressing containers *into* the salad). However, today I ordered a Southwest Grilled Chicken & Purple Rice and received a bowl absolutely coated in some kind of oil and containing zero jalapeno dressing. It was nearly inedible, just dripping in canola oil. If you're looking for a healthy option, skip this place if you don't want to drink a gallon of oil. It's enough that I won't ever return. It's a shame, because this used to be my go to. Now it's less healthy than taco bell and tastes terrible to boot. read more

I decided to stop in to the Mentor location as I had a gift card that was collecting dust in my wallet. The first thing that stood out was the sheer variety of nutritious toppings such as rice, beans, noodles, and an assortment of vegetables, broth bowls, soups, and even tacos! I opted for the 'Build Your Own Bowl' and got thai noodles with tofu and some vegetables mixed in. What an amazing compilation of flavors! When Corelife in Mentor first opened, they seemed really nice. The last two times I was there, it was very below average. The food was just okay, nothing special and didn't taste great. Also, the dining room was extremely cold in the dead of winter. The dining room was just disgusting. No clean tables, no forks in the silverware bin. I most definitely will not return. Not a five and a generous four. The organic fast food concept is in and of itself amazing. However to keep prices very reasonable they hire kids who are not exactly invested. Their prep of food is often careless. They have to be reminded that you asked for double chicken routinely, which is a good example of staff's frequently-encountered inattention. They close at nine pm. I know with working out I tend to get their late. But as early as 8 pm I have been urged by staff to take my food in plastic "to go" containers even though I would prefer to sit in a booth for a half hour. Something about sitting in a restaurant and being urged to eat out of plastic containers and to use plastic utensils is a turn off. If you voice your objection, it is met with a sigh or a long look because someone doesn't want to wash an extra bowl or a spoon. So the enjoyment of stopping by is compromised by the inability to have things prepared the customary way. The customary way is not favored by a young staff itching to get out of work. Core Life has great potential. But their managers, if one is on duty, do not appear to be keeping an eye on whether customers are content. That is CL's biggest wrinkle. The worst part of it all, there was a newer employee that had no idea what he was doing ( you could tell because of the other employees were getting very frustrated with him.) its totally understandable that he didn't know what he was doing, but he didn't have a hat on and AirPods in his ear, while working the frontline with customers and food. I stopped in the other day for a Sunday evening meal with my fiancé. This was my third time eating there. So far everything I have had from there is good. Right away I could tell things were different. The line was moving incredibly slow, everybody behind the line was dragging absolute ass and moving without any sense of urgency. After about 20 minutes we finally made it to the window. You could tell that nobody wanted to be there, one girl even said the exact words of "I just want to go kill myself" after an online order came in. I got some spicy Thai noodle bowl and it was decent, although it was kinda bland and some girl gave me the most pathetic half scoop of chicken while my fiancé got 2 whole mounding scoops of steak. We both ordered the same amount of protein. Thankfully some random woman in line had a coupon for half off a bowl and she gave it to me. She left because she was so tired of waiting, she said she was going to San Francisco Stir Fry instead. This was a very disappointing experience. Yes- it's expensive for a salad. Yes, it's worth it. I love the tuna poke fire and the bbq chicken bowl but their soups are good too and build your own salad options . I usually do a green or grain bowl and sub out what I don't like ( They are pretty flexible). They have homemade juices but I never get them so can't comment there. Sometimes the service is slow but it's usually you get kids working so I understand. They do a pretty good job as it's a lot more involved /ingredients than a subway or McDonald's etc . read more

Way more spicy than I expected, so much so that I had to stop eating it. Dining partner had the chicken cobb salad. Said it was good and had no complaints. Moderately priced, the large bowl was around $9. Also got a drink, where you can choose from I think 8 lemonades and teas. Used to be a regular here when they first opened for about 1-2 years then the service, help and food quality went down. We took a break and then covid hit! I just recently went back to try it again. They are back to great service, great employees and management and they've added taco bowls and these soft naan bread tacos that are tremendous! I talked with someone who had one and they said they always get them and have had many different ones, too! I got the Taco Bowl straight up which was delicious, fresh and filled me up and I got the smaller one! My networking friend, Sam got the classic number 1 bowl with chicken and rice which is very similar and she said it's what she always gets and it never disappoints ! Great job, Corelife bringing things back and also adding some tremendous items to your menu! Had lunch there today with my boyfriend. I had been there a couple of years ago and enjoyed it and it was his first time. The food was great but staff was apparently supposed to be wearing masks but they were worn incorrectly (under the nose and under the chin area) and they were repeatedly asking in an extremely rude tone if we were "sure" we wanted what came with our orders and looked annoyed when we confirmed that we did; everyone had an attitude that made us feel like our orders were inconveniencing them and it's not like we ordered custom bowls or anything complicated, we ordered salads that were listed on the menu board, an iced tea, and a lemonade. I tried to respond to every question as friendly as I could thinking that maybe it was just a bad day or I was mistaken or something but immediately once we sat down outside my boyfriend leaned over and said "was it just me or did it seem like they HATED us being there?" and then I knew I wasn't the only one who got that feeling. They seemed like they hated working there, hated us, and after the guy at the register ran our card to pay he handed it back and just disappeared into a back room without a word. We're really easy to please and having both worked in the food service industry we're pretty understanding when someone is stressed out or it's busy and there's a wait or a mistake. Overall there isn't much that bothers or offends us but there was a lot of negative energy from everyone we interacted with from the moment we went up to the counter to order until we walked out to eat.
