I recently started with CorePower to improve my posture and joint health. The Tribeca studio is a very short walk from my home, which is a huge plus for the winter months. CorePower gets high marks for its variety and number of class offerings. Their mix of classes caters to everyone from yoga purists to HIIT enthusiasts. And many of the instructors are excellent. However, the Tribeca studio faces some challenges. Some are systemwide, for example, you cannot directly contact any of the CorePower studios by phone, and instructors feel they are underpaid. Also, an all-access membership, that is over $200 a month in New York, does not come with a free mat or towel for classes. But other issues seem specific to this location: - heating in the main studio has been out for months - cleaning is inconsistent, and wipes are often unavailable - when there is only a 15 minute gap between classes, expect chaos Lastly, a tip--avoid being near the speakers if your instructor isn't using a mic. It will be hard to hear them over the often-loud music. Note: I just hope CorePower Customer Service takes some action rather than just posting a generic response to my review. read more

I tried CorePower Yoga in the winter of 2021-22 and was pleased by the location - a few blocks from my home and the view of the tree in Duane Park. The instructors were pleasant, and I liked the core workouts included in every class. In December 2025, I signed up again. I soon realized there were very few yoga classes, often in the early morning another in the evening, and they filled up quickly. There were mostly Yoga Sculpt classes. I tried one and walked out midway because the volume hurt my ears. It was so loud I couldn't hear the instructions. A young woman who also walked out agreed it was too loud. I tried Yoga Strength. It was okay, and I figured it could be compromise. The second class was louder, and afterward I asked the instructor to turn down the music. She said she understood it was too loud, but her manager wanted it to be even louder. The third Yoga Strength was deafening. I asked the instructor to turn down the volume. I said I couldn't hear her instructions. She said she'd turn up the mike. I started rolling up my mat. She turned down the volume, so I stayed until she turned up the volume again. Then I walked out. When I complained to the corporation, I was told I had to give 30 days notice, which meant they'd only charge me half price for classes I would not be taking. Restaurants and Bars play deafening music in order to get people to drink more and turn the tables more quickly. I do not patronize such places. I understood CorePower was NOT really yoga, but it is criminal to deafen people. DO NOT COME HERE. read more

I walked out of Core Yoga on January 7, and I have absolutely NO Desire to ever return. My experience there was painful, especially as other people agreed with me that the music was too loud, but the teacher only turned it up. There was very little variety of classes, and I have no desire to go deaf. read more

I had a class in the evening on a Friday, and I didn't realize the person at reception was in fact the instructor lol. There are mats and towels for rent, and I didn't know this but first timers are able to have a mat and towel for free. It is a very hot class, so be prepared to sweat, and it's fast paced so definitely not for beginners. Had I known the person at reception was the instructor I would've let him know of my knee injury. Would that have mattered? I'll never know, I figured out some modifications on my own. The instructor that turned out to the person at reception entered the room and started the class without introducing himself. The instructor was sort of guiding us along for the most part but started to do some more advanced modifications, especially while transitioning into cobra. There was also another girl that took a spot in the very front of the class. She was extremely distracting which was disappointing. She went into more advanced modifications for almost every pose. I know you're supposed to make this your own flow on your own time but at the rate she was going, it's like she was in an entirely other class. I believe she was the instructor for the class after. read more

This is my favorite Corepower location. I enjoy taking a C2 class in studio 1, not every location has windows and i think its a big plus. read more

The heat has been broken in studio 1 for months and no one seems inclined to fix it. People come to CorePower for the heat - if I wanted to stretch in a 70° room I'd stay home. Additionally, it seems the "no phones in class" rule doesn't apply to influencers, as there's been a huge uptick in people filming during class recently. Incredibly disappointed with my experience here recently - $40/class is a joke for what you get here. read more

Unfortunate experience at core power yoga tribeca. I did a free week trial and intro month. The heat has been broken for the past 5 weeks with no explanation/urgency to get fixed. During this time an instructor no-showed to a 12pm class, a 1030 class was cancelled two hours before it started, the water filters broke so no one could fill their water for class and there was no offering of a free water bottle, and the restrooms never felt clean. Have been before and had a much better experience, but was sad to see this studio go down hill. read more

Discovered free week of CorePower Yoga on Instagram. Did not disappoint! Took a Yoga Sculpt class with Daniela on a Saturday at 11:00AM. Amazing class. Daniela was a great instructor. She was encouraging and I had a lot of fun! Yoga Sculpt is a combination of 15 minutes of yoga and 45 minutes of toning with light weights (3 or 5 lb) and heavy weights (8 lb), cardio blast, and ab workout in a heated room. By the end of it, you will not only have gotten a great sweat, but stronger and more relaxed. A little critique was that she was not able to control the class (many people started to leave during the cooldown and was a bit disruptive). She often would have to try to raise her voice to bring the class back together during the short breaks and towards the end of class. CorePower Yoga in Tribeca is in a great location - right off the 1, 2, 3 train. Lockers and locks are provided. Mats, towels, and water bottles are available for purchase for $2 each (mats and towels are free for your first visit). A little headsup - the classes are often fully booked even on the weekends, so your mat is often a few inches from your neighbor. So be sure to get there early! The studio was very clean and inviting. They wipe down the floors and even the mirrors in between the classes. All in all, I had an amazing week with CorePower Yoga. Please be sure to ask for their employment partnerships. They partner with many companies to offer a discounted rate. read more

My Birkenstocks were taken while I was in class last week. The studio did nothing and the manager is unresponsive. Expect zero customer service from this location. Also this location fails to enforce standard rules like no phones in class and no filming or pictures in class so beware. Apparently influencers are more important than paying customers. read more

The Tribeca studio is clean and in a great location on the ground floor with windows in one of the studios. I take Carlos's classes. He brings so much life to his classes and he's got a strong but gentle way about him. I personally like a flow that moves a bit quicker b/c it keeps my mind/body present and I feel completely energized when I leave his class. The teachers are all nice here and so are all the other yogis in there! read more

Core power yoga in Tribeca repeatedly bills $15 for each "missed class" that were NOT MISSED. And then they make it exceedingly difficult to get reimbursed. This happens as often as 5 x a month and has been happening for over a year. This feels intentional. Check your credit card bill if you go here. Or maybe just go somewhere else. YES. I love yoga, but must confess-I've been in a workout slump. In that, I just didn't want to. But after a friend of mine said Core Power was her favorite, and you start with a free week, I thought, what do I have to loose? I signed up online, (really easy,) for a core power level two class, heated vinyasa. It was great. There was structure, with the freedom to play, and reassuring invite to rest when needed. I've been to classes where we do crunches and core work, and it SUCKED. This core work ROCKED. Efficient, relevant to postures, and was challenging, without feeling like I would die on my mat. THEY INCLUDE LOCKS! With a key on a band so you can wear it or put it around your water. I'm looking forward to trying the class with weights-I've never done heated strength training, but ready to have a go! read more

Please add a phone number that works. The website is so glitchy and it's hard to manage my schedule using it. If I can't reach a human, I can't cancel on time and will be charged $30 for not attending. Otherwise, I love this studio! Great and enthusiastic instructors and a great workout. I went with a friend to try a class. I had to sign up for a trial membership and was assured all I had to do was call and cancel the membership and I wouldn't be charged. I called immediately after to cancel the membership and they are still charging me almost a year later. I keep calling and they keep saying it is canceled but keep charging. I have tried disputing with my cc company and they are now saying I need written proof of cancelation. There are so many amazing yoga studios in NY don't do business with this one. read more

Alyssa Villanueva's C2 class was the best yoga class I've taken at Core Power- highly recommend!

Beautiful studio in the heart of Tribeca. I usually go to the studios in the West Village or Flatiron, but venture down here on occasion as well. There are two rooms for classes, one for Sculpt and one for the regular C1 & C2s, as is the norm. I haven't had as good of an experience with the instructors here as the other locations (more inconsistency here, i.e. making sure the rooms are properly heated, etc.), but still enjoy coming on occasion when it's not out of the way. Overall, not a bad place for neighborhood yoga practice. read more
