I should preface this review that I'm not a yoga fan. I'm too hyper and yoga puts me to sleep. I"m also not a fan of heated rooms- reminds me too much of growing up in the Florida heat! However, I've been told by many that I would LOVE the sculpting class at CorePower Yoga and finally had a chance to check it out when visiting Dallas for the Thanksgiving holiday. They were super friendly at check-in. Since it was my first class they gave me a mat and towel free of charge, but did mention you have to bring your own or they charge you. Personally I think a mat and towel should be included for the price of the class. I put my stuff in a locker and got my mat and some weights (a pair of light and a pair of medium) set up for class. It was a really busy class on Thanksgiving morning so we were pretty packed in there. And then we got ready to get our sweat on. I didn't realize the room would be heated or I would have never agreed to try it. I was so uncomfortable that I couldn't really focus on anything besides being SO hot. I kept looking at my watch to see how much longer i had to endure the heat. The class itself moved faster than a typical yoga class, but still way slower than the typical cardio/weight classes I do. The weights were also really light, but I guess using heavier weights in an option. There were some yoga poses with the weights that were doable even for some inflexible like myself. The instructor was engaging, but there wasn't a lot of correcting going on since there were so many people in the class. They did offer me a free week that I could continue back in Chicago, but I think this was a one time class for me. As I walked out I stepped on a random person's mat that was drenched in sweat (ew) and told myself that I was glad i tried something new, but not quite for me! However if you do like yoga, weights and don't mind the heat you may feel differently! read more

Great Location. Plenty of parking. Studios are well maintained and clean. All of the instructors have been amazing!

Took an AH-MAZING class here taught by studio manager, Catrina. Managers Abby (Henderson studio) & Matt (Mockingbird Station studio) were also there to adjust and support. All three were so friendly, welcoming and genuinely happy that we were there... which makes me incredibly sad that there isn't a location any closer to me than this one. Since this was a complementary event hosted by Dallas Blogger Collective, my towel and mat rental were waived (normally $1 and $2, respectively). I was also given a key fob card for future classes, which I love since your first week at any location is free! Water is available for purchase and the adorable boutique in front is filled with yogi attire and mala jewelry. Corner Bakery (from a few doors down) was also there serving yummy light brunch bites and coffee (think oatmeal, fresh fruit, tabbouleh, etc.). The space itself is filled with clean, modern lines and gives off an airy feel in every room, including the locker area. Towards the end of class, I had a 'spinach in my teeth' moment, except it was a big smear of black mascara underneath my left eye... and then I spent a good amount of time chatting and visiting with a big group of ladies who never said a word about it! Note to self: wear WATERPROOF mascara for your next hot yoga session!! read more

I LOVE core power!!!!! Their classes are amazing and a great alternative to traditional hot yoga. You can still do your typical vinyasa flow classes-but with a modern twist. If you want to really push the limit and debate if you will remain conscious-do yoga sculpt. It honestly is an amazing class that combines weight training, yoga, cardio and it flies by! I've done tons of outdoor bootcamps, orange theory, etc, and this is by far the most challenging class I've ever attended. All of the workers are super friendly and I've never had a bad class. Came on time for a yoga class, and the door was already locked. I understand the need to lock the door if a class is going on, but it should still accommodate those who are on time. The studio has no number, and when calling the company to use the prepaid credit for another class, they were very unhelpful and rude. Lost out on an entire class, and instead of feeling calm after a nice yoga session, I was just stressed and upset. Would not suggest the studio due to the inconvenience and the rude customer service! read more

I came here through ClassPass and really enjoyed my class! I started with the C2 class, which is heated and really gets your body moving. CorePower has a great guide to figuring out what class is best for you: https://www.corepoweryoga.com/blog/cpy-class-breakdown-what-class-should-i-take I've been doing yoga for awhile, but I still worked up quite a sweat and was regretting not bringing a towel. C2 also allows for practicing inversions, which I personally haven't explored very much, but a lot of the other girls in the class gave it a go! Alice let us take a couple water breaks in between and time to relax in between sets of exercises. I thought it was interesting that the playlist consisted of upbeat, current pop/folk music instead of the usual yoga-type tunes. If you don't have a towel, water, or a mat, you can rent/buy them at CorePower yoga. They have one of those handy upright water bottle fill stations by the water fountains as well. This studio also has separate men's and women's locker rooms where you can shower or at least refresh before heading to your next destination. If you want to try it, you can get a free unlimited week when you sign up. There's lots of parking all around and they have lots of clothing and yoga accessories for purchase out front. read more

I've been a black member of CPY for the last 5yrs and I just love CPY. This is my go to location. The instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable. The studio is clean. I recommend trying HPF .. it is in a hot room, so you will sweat. I would say this class is a modern twist to Bikram Yoga. read more

I went to my first class at CorePower yesterday morning, and it was taught by Sara. I explained to her before class started that my knee was bothering me, and she helped me modify positions throughout the class. She was very helpful, patient, and kind! The class was definitely challenging but doable for even a beginner like myself! The studio was also beautiful and clean, with fully stocked locker rooms. I had an amazing experience and will return to take more hot yoga classes! read more

I love CPY. This is the closest location to me, Flower Mound. I like this studio better than the other locations in Dallas, because the studios don't have the giant windows that blind you when the sun starts to set! I just really wish someone would open another studio in the Coppell/Flower Mound location. read more

This place is amazing. The teachers are super trained and knowledgeable. I am addicted to the C2 classes- their sequencing is incredible and allows me to practice to my fullest. I took Leah Patel's class (Mon mornings at 8:30) today and it was AWESOME (motivating, inspiring and challenging). We practiced crow to headstand, rotating touching our knees to our triceps during the inversion after we'd thoroughly activated the core to prepare us. Super well instructed. I love their yoga sculpt classes! It's always a great sweat and all the instructors are really motivational. Even though it's an intense workout, it fits all skill levels and gives you goals to strive for. Depending on the time of day, the classes can get pretty full so be sure to get there early to get a good spot. read more

I love CorePower! I'm on ClassPass and its a real treat to get into a CPY class! Preston Forest is def my favorite studio. Everyone is very nice and helpful. The locker rooms are always clean (smells like oranges!) and the towels are always soft (Def makes the $2 towel rental worth it!). I've taken a couple of different classes at this location. The Yoga Sculpt is definitely my favorite. Meredith always kicks your butt but rewards you with a cold towel at the end of class. read more

Classes are fine - standard CorePower classes - and studio is new and clean, but people are not the friendliest, and they apparently steal things. Probably the first CorePower studio I've been to where someone wouldn't try to warn me that I'd left something (my mat, in this case) in the locker room when I walk out without it - and then someone steals it a few days later, by the time I come back for it. Front desk folks and instructors also haven't been super friendly. Not quite that communal spirit they try to cultivate. read more

I always have the best experiences at CPY! They offer a great selection and variety of classes, including some unique classes, like Yoga Sculpt, that I don't see at other studios. I also like that they offer classes throughout the day, including mid-afternoon, which allows me to sneak away from the office and take classes around my schedule. The studio facilities are second to none...best men's locker room I've ever seen at a studio and a really well-stocked boutique. Everyone is friendly and welcoming...I just wish I had more time to spend on the mat! read more

I went to this location for a heated yoga sculpt class on DFW free yoga day! No better way to celebrate a day off from work than with a little stretching. The studio itself is beautiful...they have a mini boutique up front with yoga pants, cute tops and other swag-tastic stuff. I got all checked in and they pointed me to the back women's locker room which was super clean...they even have toiletries and showers in there along with mats and towels. They have vinyasa style classes as well as fusion ones like the one I took. What I love about the sculpt class is it combines all the good stuff in one total body workout! They have a variety of weights to use as well as straps and blocks. The instructor was very helpful in leading us through the flow with the weights and we even had fun while doing it! The music is energizing and keeps you going as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and shaking things up a bit! I'll definitely be back. This place has it all. It is large with nice locker rooms, 2 studios that I noticed and a waiting area full of fashionable yoga merchandise. I had never done hot yoga before so I was a little intimidated but the instructor made me comfortable. The class was a mix of yoga, cardio and body sculpting to some fun upbeat tunes to keep us sweating through the workout. The time flew by and I didn't realize an hour was already over. It was challenging but a fun workout that you can sweat out all the toxins and start or end the day fresh. If you haven't tried it do it, you won't regret it! read more

Most importantly, the teachers are all amazing , and each of them has their own very distinct style. I have practiced yoga for over 15 years, and with a recent move that took me away from a beloved studio/practice, it took me about a year and trying out 4-5 studios, and finally came upon Core Power. The space is also beautiful and meticulously maintained, and from the start, everyone was very welcoming. I have had to get used to a heated practice, but now feel the benefits.
