I've had catering from here and been to the restaurant twice. The food is fresh and delicious. I've tried the appetizer sampler, combination kebab grill plate, the gyro, fattoush salad and some other items. Everything was tasty and made with incredible ingredients. I highly recommend this spot. It feels like a home cooked meal. The catering was also fantastic, great portions and delicious. Once you have it, you'll crave it again. 5 stars doesn't adequately capture how great Corfu is. If there were 10 stars, I would give that. Let's unpack this. As a casual dinner spot, Corfu is great. It's Mediterranean but not your typical pita/hummus fare, although you can get as much pita and hummus as you want. It's a great combination of handhelds (sandwiches and wraps) and then more entree-like food. There are great options like steak and chicken, along with some really fantastic plant-based/vegan options like the stuffed peppers, or the vegetarian sandwich. Cheat code: swap the regular mayo for moutabel and you're ordering like a pro. Also, the French fries here are so wild - just perfect, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. This is an awesome relaxed spot, and especially great if you have omnivores and vegan/vegetarians in your group. But let's talk a bit about what prompted to write this review: the catering. We hired Vic and his team for our wedding which was taking place up the street. To be frank, we were a little skeptical at first! Vic quoted us an amazing price, and then presented us with some possibilities, even inviting us up for some tasting and samples. He listened to what we needed - a good variety of plant-based/vegan options along with meat options - and even customized a few things for us! He was communicative throughout the process, and was a true godsend; he knew what we would need before we did. We always felt like Vic was invested in our event and in our guests. He never tried to upsell us, or add on more. The price he quoted is the price we paid. The day of the event, Vic's team showed up when they said they would and were total pros. They needed ZERO direction from us which was so helpful. They were friendly and courteous to our guests too! Now...let's talk about the food itself. Wedding catering can be a bit tricky...it's a lot of people to feed and please. Every guest at the wedding all had the same feedback - "this is the best food I've ever had at a wedding!" Vic and the whole Corfu team supplied all of the appetizers and salads for the cocktail hour, plus dinner, plus coffee, and it was AWESOME. We loved having Corfu be part of our wedding, and we even had breakfast there the next day - also awesome. If you are planning an event in the San Gabriel Valley area, you need to consider Corfu. Great small intimate restaurant with wonderful generaous food and terrific service. We were treated like old friends. The menu was diverse to our tastes. My wife had here best greek salad ever. Stopped in with my friend for a little lunch date on a hot day, and could not have been more pleased. The pleasant atmosphere was a perfect escape. I started with the dolmades, which were so tender, light, and delicious. Then I enjoyed the Fattoush salad. One of the best Mediterranean restaurants I've been to! I went here for a wedding rehearsal dinner and the whole place was booked. The appetizers (sarma, baba ganoush/moutabal, tabbouleh), Greek salad, were delicious and very tasty. The chicken kabab was very moist and the beef was very tender. Every course that was served had a layer of flavor but Vic takes it to the next level by making sure the food is visually pleasing too. He made sure every plate is stunning. Despite having catered numerous weddings, Vic and his team treated ours as if it were their first, understanding the significance of the moment for us and our guests. I came on a Saturday for lunch and didn't have any trouble. We ordered the House Combination plate and didn't regret it one bit! The pita and hummus were SO GOOD. I would come back just for the hummus. My favorite on the plate was the chicken - isn't it hard to find chicken that isn't dry? Search no further, Corfu's got it! The plates aren't small, but they're not huge either. The price is fair and we left with satisfied bellies (or at least the scale definitely showed it). The food here is so good. Everything is made fresh and to order. There is no ambiance, but the food makes up for it. We started with the hummus (fresh, creamy, served with pita). Rug rats ordered hot chocolate because it was a chilly night and it was made from scratch...they LOVED it. Hubs and I shared a traditional Greek salad which was well done with fresh veg and salty wonderful Feta. We also shared the mixed plate which was also well done. This little casual dining Mediterranean restaurant stole my heart while touring Sierra Madre for the first time. I came to visit a friend who lives in Pasadena and we stopped across the street to get a massage first and stumbled upon this place as we were leaving so we arrived extremely relaxed and starved. The place is very casual and bright, nothing romantic about the ambience. It was packed but luckily for us no wait time! There was a gentleman in the corner singing live music and I thought that was a really nice touch. Our server was very kind and sweet, and saw that I was being indecisive so recommended that I get the combo so I can sample all the top meats. She also recommended that I try the frog legs sometime! And described it as eating chicken wings. I made a major pass on that one LOL I ordered the kebab a combo as recommended as I wanted to sample everything lol it came with two nice size portions of baba ghanouj and hummus unfortunately they were out of tabouli salad but the chef personally came out and apologized running out and thought that was really kind of him. My friend had the beef kebab plate. Loved it! Combo plate 5 stars! -The chicken kabob, kofta, and beef kabob were all cooked to perfection. The rice was delicious. Baba ghanoush was my favorite. I found the hummus to be a little grainy and chunkier in consistency than I normally like but still delicious. The garlic butter! Holy cow! I'm order extra next time! Get the almazza beer, it's imported from Lebanon. I always get it when I see it on the menu as it's not so easy to find. It's one of those beers that just tastes better with delicious food. We reserved their banquet room for my mother's birthday. They were kind and very thorough leading up to the event. The room was perfect for a group of 15. Upon viewing their menu, I immediately knew I wanted the moussaka. It hit the spot, with the right amount of bechamel. The eggplant was cooked through and through, so perfect texture. The only minor complaint was that it was warm, not. Still great taste, though. My mother and I also enjoyed the fried cheese turnover appetizer, although I can't remember the name.
