The chicken family meal was under $50 and it can easily feed 4 or more adults. We also got a beef kebab plate (Filet mignon, served with rice, hummus, salad & pita bread). Located in a small plaza Chicken King Express has lunch specials, plates of rice, salad, hummus, or even wraps at really decent prices. My husband and I came by to try it out last week and we just came back again since it was so good! We both have tried the lunch special chicken lule plate which comes with rice, hummus and salad asking with the quarter and half chicken plates which come with rice and hummus and everything comes with two pitas on the side. The half or quarter chickens were so juicy and delicious it was truly the reason we had to come back so soon. Fire chicken place! First time trying the restaurant and we are sold. The cashier was nice and explained to us their specials and different options. The menu is pretty simple and ready to go but they do have traditional Mediterranean food. We came early because we were hungry but it got busy and full as we ate our meal. The place had indoor seating and outdoor if prefer the fresh air, the inside does smell strongly of grilled check FYI. They have a variety of can sodas at a reasonable price. Since it was early they did not have the veggie options but was here for the chicken anyway. The chicken was flavorful and juicy, they give you a lot of food for price point. This place needs to upgrade their rice. While I do appreciate the freshly grilled meats, I just can't take their mushy cafeteria quality rice. There is another skewer shop not too far away that starts with the letter K. Also grilled to order and better rice and side options. read more

A really pleasant surprise of Mediterranean food in SGV. Fresh ingredients, large portions and seasoned perfectly. Situated in a little strip mall, this restaurant only got a few tables. Look like they are mainly on take out order. You can order their food through their website for pick up. I ordered 1/2 chicken plate and chicken kebabs plate. Both are excellent. Try chicken is tender but the skin is a little crisp and tasty. Their garlic sauce is one of the best one that I ever had. It does perfect with the chicken Price very reasonable. Lately we've been hooked on their chicken kebab wraps - the pita is thick and soft, the chicken cooked to perfection and so savory along with the garlic sauce, and it comes with rice and hummus. We also like their 1/4 chicken plates and beef kabobs. Their garlic sauce is the best in the area imo - so smooth and not overpowering like a lot of other places. I place my order on the phone and it's always ready and fresh when I get there to pick it up. I ordered the chicken and beef kebab and it came with rice, salad, hummus, egg plant dip, sarma (stuffed grape leaves) cheese boreg, garlic paste and bread. Everything was super delicious and my guests were very impressed. I definitely recommend this place and will definitely use them again especially with upcoming holidays. With this name, I always thought it was one of those fast food places with precooked foods sitting under a lamp, like Panda Express. I recently found out they're not. It came with the 2 skewers of chicken, beef and lule (which is like seasoned ground meat) The order came with a generous portion of fragrant rice, puta and hummus, and a green salad. Their house dressing is mild and has good flavor, but had trouble sticking in to the greens. It's probably better to dip the veggies in it instead of pouring it on top. $51.95 The chicken and beef both had nice charred edges and a subtle smoky flavor. They were not an tender as I had hoped but still pretty good flavor. The lule were full of exotic seasonings and equally good. The rice complimented the protein nicely. And use their garlic paste for a slight bump in flavor. I also got a roasted chicken wrap. Shredded flavorful chicken meat with lettuce and seasoning. Pretty good and a decent size to fill you up but not stuff you like a burrito. $8.95 The service was very friendly. The younger owner was energetic and welcoming. There are some tables inside and for a 15 yr old establishment, their decor is pretty updated. It's nice to have a family owned Mediterranean place in this area without having to drive to Glendale.
