Friendly service, great value, and newly renovated. They serve both Mediterranean (just like before) and Indian/Desi food now.

Love the new wall styling!!! Very classy!!!

DO NOT JUDGE THIS RESTAURANT BY OTHER PEOPLE'S RATINGS!!! When I came to Yelp to leave this review…read moreand saw their rating, the only thing I can think is other Indian restaurant owners MUST come here for to eat, and then have their large amount of family members give them low ratings, because it's too freaking good!!! I am SHOCKED honestly! This is LITERALLY THE BEST INDIAN FOOD I have ever had in my life. As a 1st Generation American, who has lived in Europe and have eaten Indian food in at least 30 cities worldwide, I GENUINELY MEAN IT!!! I'm bummed I didn't get pictures, but the food area is incredibly clean, their Bakery section is absolutely unique especially for Indian Restaurants, and the portion sizes were honestly perfect for a 250 lb guy to have a full lunch left for tomorrow. The chicken 56 which I had never heard of in my life, was incredible has a delicious vinegary, slightly spicy, almost like an Indian Food version of orange chicken, but WAAAYYYY more tender. And their Tikka Masala is incredibly flavorful in my opinion for something that is usually pretty simple.

Be aware of the cockroaches…read more I've visited this restaurant a few times before, and up until today, my experiences had been positive--friendly staff and good food. Unfortunately, today completely changed my perspective. As I was getting ready to pay, I noticed cockroaches walking across the countertop, which was extremely concerning. Around the same time, the staff informed me that their system was down and that I would need to pay using Zelle. They also appeared to notice the cockroaches and quickly tried to cover my food while giggling and speaking among themselves. Their behavior made me feel very uncomfortable, especially since they seemed nervous and were urging me to follow them and send payment. I didn't want to cause a scene, but I felt uneasy. I told them I didn't have Zelle and didn't have time, and I decided to leave without taking the food. As I was leaving, I noticed the staff who had seen me looking at the cockroaches speaking to others and giving me strange looks, which added to the discomfort. Due to this experience, I will not be returning. Cleanliness and professionalism are extremely important, and this situation was very disappointing.

Mouthwatering food with tons of options…read more This is a place to try whether you are vegetarian or not. We went for lunch and it was busy but we were still able to get a table immediately. The staff is friendly and helpful and we loved how many options the menu had. The dry chili paneer was just the right spice for me and very flavorful. My husband enjoyed a masala. But hands down I loved the Frankie street food! We will definitely bring our friends back here!

We…read morereally enjoyed some of the dishes we ordered, while a few others were just okay or a bit lacking in flavor. Our favorites were the Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji (we ordered the Classic), Chole Bhatura, and the Jaamun Shot. The Papdi Chaat was exactly what we expected and was decent. The Bhel Puri and Pani Puri were probably our least favorite dishes. For the pani puri, the pani was bland and lacking flavor and the puri barely had any filling. The Bhel Puri was more tart than I expected and could have used a bit more green chutney and sweet chutney. I didn't try it myself, but my father-in-law ordered the Masala Jaljeera and he didn't seem to be a big fan. He mentioned that maybe he should have ordered the Kokum Jeera Soda instead. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance casual. Service was a little slow at the beginning, but once we placed our order, the food came out very quickly. I do wish they had given us a little more time to enjoy a few dishes before bringing out the rest. Our table felt pretty crowded when everything came out at the same time and we were shuffling dishes to make space while we ate. To be fair, we ordered a lot of food, and we probably could have asked for the dishes to be brought out in stages. Overall, I'm giving it 4 stars, though I'd probably place it somewhere between 3.5 and 4. I'd definitely come back to try other menu items if I was in the area.

The only downside during our dine-in experience was the service. The wait staff was a bit slow with basic things like getting us water and a high chair. Since it was their first week of operation, we gave them the benefit of the doubt. I've been craving a good Malayali restaurant in the area for a long time, so I was excited to have Rasam nearby. However, the issue came during our takeout order on a different day. When my husband picked up the food and we got home, we realized two items were missing. We immediately called the restaurant, and the person who answered offered either a refund or home delivery. Since we had guests at home, we chose delivery. Unfortunately, the food never arrived--and neither did the refund initially. The restaurant had both our phone numbers and our home address, so communication shouldn't have been an issue. When we followed up later that night, we were told they had tried calling us, but neither of us received any calls. This was disappointing, especially since the food had already been paid for. Although we eventually did receive the refund, the situation left a bad taste. The lack of clear communication and accountability has made us hesitant to return or order again. The food has a lot of potential, but I hope the team works on customer service, communication, and owning up to mistakes, as that really makes a difference in the overall experience

Came here for dine-in on a busy Sunday around 1:15 PM during lunch and was seated immediately,…read morewhich was a nice surprise considering how packed it was. From the time we ordered, the food took about 25 minutes to come out. I ordered the butter chicken, white rice, mango lassi, and garlic-cheese naan. Overall, the food was flavorful and definitely had some kick. The mango lassi was really good -- it tasted fresh and natural, like real mango. It had a creamy, milky texture from the yogurt that made it really enjoyable. The garlic-cheese naan was also a standout. It had a nice kick to it and paired really well with both the rice and the butter chicken. The white rice itself was surprisingly good too, with more flavor than your typical plain rice. The butter chicken sauce was the highlight for me. It was rich, sweet, creamy, and had that "wow" factor in flavor. My only real complaint was the chicken itself -- the outside had more flavor, but the inside was a little drier and slightly chewy compared to how tender the outside tasted. Service was friendly and helpful throughout the meal. It's not exactly cheap, but the quality and portion sizes made it feel worth it. Portions were generous enough that most people will probably have leftovers. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere, although it does get pretty loud during lunch when it's busy. Parking can also be a little rough since it's Claremont, so I'd recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early because you'll probably have to park a bit farther out and walk. Overall, I'd come back. I'd recommend it if you're looking for flavorful food with some spice and don't mind a bit of noise or a short wait during peak hours.
