I thought this restaurant's $15 lunch buffet was really cheap when I heard about it. Everything tasted really fresh, and they had a good amount of dishes. I liked the music they were playing and the service was good. The garlic naan was delicious and crispy. My favorites were the chicken tikka masala and the shahi paneer. They also had gulab jamun which was really good too. You should check out the little dessert area next to the register. read more

The limited buffet only offered 6 items, rice, a fried appetizer, one desert, sliced raw vegetables and overly sweet chai tea. We came for the lunch buffet and let me tell you, you won't beat the value. It was $15 for all you can eat lunch buffet and the flavors were very good. We had the tandoori chicken, buttered chicken, chicken masala, rice, and a few other delicious dishes from the buffet. It even comes with your choice of naan! We got both the garlic and the chili garlic and neither disappointed. The service was good and the place was clean. Me and my gf wanted to try Indian food for the first time and saw this place had great reviews and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We ordered the butter chicken and the coconut chicken masala which were a 10/10! The food here is the most authentic you will find in Southern California. Service is top notch and speedy as well as very respectable. The ambiance is very relaxing and homely. By and far again the best Indian / Punjabi food in all of Southern California and the prices are unbeatable by a mile. The naan is crispy and fresh not heavy and doughy like Most places. I ordered a Spanish latte with almond milk it was divine and had a few of the chocolates from Qura which paired nicely with my latte. Quick service and the person taking orders was very polite. Perfect spot for both takeout and dine-in. Music wasn't loud and the prices were super affordable compared to 2 other restaurants nearby. I had the Shahi paneer, roti, samosa and mango lassi and absolutely loved it. My favorite was the butter smeared roti which tasted homemade and left me craving for more. I'll keep it 100. The food is good but I get strong racist and creepy vibes from both the staff and some of the patrons. Sorry. Just today a large group of Indian men walked in and I caught a couple of them repeatedly looking over and whispering about me, while I'm just sitting at my table and minding my own business. Granted, the staff can't always control what the customers do butttttt the staff is just a creepy tbh, especially that cashier and his "overly friendly" vibe. It's just so forced and strange. Both times I've eaten there as a single woman, I have NEVER felt comfortable in the slightest. Perhaps, that's why I've never seen another single woman there. If you're black or a "western woman" (single or coupled), be very careful coming to this restaurant. I have family who have traveled extensively and will just flat out say , many men from "their culture" don't really understand how to respect or treat women or black people. There's a review from a year earlier from another young woman talking about her own creepy encounter with staff/guests straight up asking about her friends breasts out loud (of course the owner never addressed this) so it seems like this place has a problem. As for me, I love supporting small businesses but I won't be coming back to this one as I prefer to take my business somewhere where the staff/customers seem a little less creepy and more welcoming. We found Taj Cafe while looking for a great Indian restaurant to eat at and we were so delighted to find Taj Cafe and try some of their yummy dishes! They have five stars for a reason! The food is phenomenal and the service was in point! Our sever was very nice and attentive. I ordered The mango chicken and it was delicious!! My hubby ordered the chicken tiki and he loved it too! Had a hunger for some Indian, hit the yelp Web space, and look and behold. Our own diamond in the rough, in little Fontana. Me and my wife did the chicken coconut masala and the chicken korma. We love our naan so we thought ahead and got two orders of the garlic naan and two orders of the cheese naan, I suggest you do the same. Picked it up. The staff were friendly to my wife, upon digging into the food we were met with euphoria, everything tasted so well seasoned but not heavy in anyway. You guys know what I'm saying, when you can eat several mouth/bite fulls and you don't feel your stomach have that weight right away. Oh yeah. Dipping the naan and scooping the dishes up taking turns each dish different but so delicious in contrast. 10/10 to both dishes. Even the veggies, being an adult I might still struggle with getting veggies down properly, but they were so well seasoned and cooked not mushy at all. Definitely will be back. Plus the great reviews didn't hurt either, so we gave it a shot. Not a small establishment, but friendly people and excellent food gives it a solid 5 stars. Chicken Tikka Masala 5/5 (A MUST! Omg! This place is by far the best Indian food I've ever had! Hidden Gem!!! My new favorite restaurant!!! We found this place Friday and back within 48 hrs. The Staff are so nice and restaurant/bathrooms are clean. They make everything from scratch to include the cheese from the "Palak Paneer". And their house tea (Chai) is FREE!! So good!!! Perhaps the best Indian place I've ever been to!! The service was TOP NOTCH and we enjoyed all the dishes. We had a party of 4 so we tried goat, lamb, fish and butter chicken. Their goat and fish dishes are SO AMAZING that I wanna go back again already. The garlic naan is a MUST GET, extremely fresh and crispy, I can't recommend it enough!! Before leaving this review, I called the restaurant because I wanted to give them the opportunity to make it right. At first, I was told they had a new chef. Then I was told it tasted different because it was vegan. When I asked if he was saying the food tasted bad because it was vegan, he initially agreed before quickly backtracking and saying that's not what he meant. He then explained that it tasted different because they had a new chef and were using different ingredients and seasonings. I explained that I've ordered the vegan version multiple times before, so I know how it's was supposed to taste. In fact, this was my fourth time ordering it. The third time I ordered it, the rice had almost no flavor at all... it was basically plain white rice with the vegetables, nuts, and no seasoning. I let that experience go and decided to give them another chance. Unfortunately, this fourth order went in the complete opposite direction. Instead of being under-seasoned, the rice had such an unpleasant taste that I couldn't eat it. This wasn't just "different"... something was clearly off.
