Rio Road playing at Cork and Fork Capitola Wine Bar

Just had the best small plate pizza, scrumptious and perfect. Wish I'd taken a picture before I devoured it. Enjoyed the Pesto Chicken Pizza. Highly recommend it. Not to be missed is the amazing live music! Thank you Rio Road!

Cork and Fork is such a charm! It is rather small and tucked away in Capitola Village, but it is the perfect place to go for an afternoon glass of wine! The owner is so thoughtful and makes an effort to establish relationships with each of her customers. This place also happens to have the best Rosè I have ever tasted! I want to say it was called Tres Chics from Paris? Cork and Fork also has delicate appetizers and finger food to complement the experience. We tried several different options, but our group voted that that Caprese skewers (below) was our favorite! The mozzarella balls were so fresh and delicious. If you want to avoid crowds and are looking for a place to relax in the early afternoon, come here! Just keep in mind the seating is rather limited

Sat at the bar. Ordered a bottle of Hamdog Pinot. It was amazing! The staff is very friendly. The live music was great!

The food was amazing! We came here to dine outdoors after a surf session and it was perfectly hearty for two folks with good appetite. The corralitos sausages were so savory and juicy, we had to force ourselves to enjoy them slowly instead of devouring them. The chicken pesto panini sandwich was the most filling if you're looking for a sizeable entree. The tasty pizzas were on the smaller side, but for $10 each you can't go wrong. We tried two flavors (Caprese Popper, Nick's Weird Special) and were very happy with both. During COVID, they also have separate takeaway menus (I'm keeping one in the car for our next surf session!)

If I could give 0 stars I would. The owner was rude and judgemental. She made me feel so uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Never returning.

Now let's get to the food. I can only speak for what I ordered. My espresso martini made with tequila instead of vodka was UHMAZING! Best one I've had so far. The baked Brie was mouth watering, the crostinis were so good and crispy. And the top sirloin was perfectly cooked to medium rare. Loved every bit of it! And the cheesecake was good but I wasn't a fan of the peach compote. My friend loved her cosmo and her gnocchi. And she loved the peach compote. So it worked out for us. Will definitely be back next year!

The front desk reassured us, gave us a waiting number, and told us to wait in the lounge while they worked on getting us a table. After waiting patiently for an entire hour, we checked back, only to be abruptly told they were fully booked and could not seat us after all. Our booking mistake is on us, but stringing along a family with a baby for an hour--giving false hope while open tables sat empty--is terrible hospitality. If you cannot accommodate us, simply be honest upfront so we can celebrate elsewhere instead of wasting our entire evening. Very disappointing customer service.

We sat outside and had an incredible view of Capitola Beach. The service was slow throughout the meal, and one thing that stood out was that I never received a water refill the entire time we were there. It wasn't terrible service, but it definitely felt inattentive. I ordered the Seafood Fettuccine because I wanted something a little more filling. In hindsight, that's partly on me since seafood fettuccine isn't exactly a dish I usually expect to be exceptional anywhere. The Alfredo sauce was bland and needed a lot of pepper to bring some life to it. Most of the seafood was overcooked and chewy, particularly the fish. The clams were probably the best part of the dish and were cooked reasonably well. Overall, the view was fantastic, but beyond that, the meal didn't do much for me. Between the slow service and underwhelming food, this ended up being one of the worst meals I had on my trip.
