First time here and we were greeted by a very friendly server right as we walked in. There was available seating right away and Service was timely. I always get a dirty martini & typically ask for blue cheese stuffed olives but forgot to this time and they brought them anyway which was a pleasant surprise!! The dirty martini was PERFECT! We both split a mixed salad with mushrooms a lemon poppy dressing and pickled onions and it was very tasty. We also got the classic cheeseburgers and mine was topped with a fried egg. Very tasty and cooked to perfection. I typically do not like fries on the side so they were able to substitute with asparagus spears with no extra charge. This quaint little place fulfilled all my expectations for eating out. The raw bar was absolutely delicious, and fresh. Razzie, the lovely waitress, made me the most delicious dirty martini. So good I decided to have two. I Also decided to indulge in the beef tacos. The beef tacos were Jack pot status. I look forward to going back there and trying everything on the menu. My boyfriend and I happened upon this gem the other day. I am sad that I live almost an hour and a half away because if this place was close to home, I'd be there all the time. Atmosphere is cozy, chic, and comfortable. Food and drinks are amazing. We had: fried pickles, deviled eggs, a burger, and a flatbread pizza and it was some of the best food we've had in a while. My boyfriend is also super picky and loved it too. This place just celebrated their one year anniversary...if they keep up the quality this place will be a go to spot for anyone in the area and those traveling through. I can't say enough good about the place. It can get busy because it is a small place so plan accordingly :) read more

Cork and Rye is an outstanding establishment from top to bottom. The food is outstanding, the service is impeccable and the bartenders are very knowledgeable. I waited to write a review until I had tried a few entrees and each one has been outstanding. The management and the owner make it a point to make you feel at home. It's a modern-day "Cheers", as once you have come in a few times, everybody knows your name. While eating at cork and rye the feeling I got was that it was trying to be an upscale pub experience, that was until I ate the food. That moment was when I realized they forgot one of the main parts of pub food, the flavor.. I'm not huge on salt, but even a pinch of salt could have elevated the food just a tad. We had the calamari and shrimp as an app a solid 4 out of 5. I had a flatbread pizza that was toasted to a crisp and tasted like a frozen cheese pizza minus any seasoning. My partner had the fish and chips... unfortunately underseasoned again AND the fish seemed old... it had an ammonia aftertaste, we had a few bites and couldn't stomach the rest, although I will admit it was risky to order seafood at a pub in general. This place does not care. I have ordered take out from there twice, and both times, my order was incorrect. The second time I ordered I had to return twice because they just could not get my very simple order correct. Both times I went in I barely got an apology for the inconvenience. The food here is very overpriced, especially since it's always prepared incorrectly. My recommendation is save your money and eat elsewhere. read more

Cork and Rye has a great atmosphere, the staff is accommodating and the food is excellent! My Husband has the fish & chips, big portion and delicious, I had a cheeseburger with truffle fries which was also delicious. My Son got the fish sandwich which he said was very good. Not impressed with the limited menu. Not much on it that tempted us. Check to see if the menu is online before you go. Food is a little pricey. We are not drinkers so we ordered cokes. They give you a small 8 oz bottle of coke for $3.00. No free refills here. We will not be back. read more

We went here based on yelp reviews and were not disappointed! Everyone in my party of four was more than pleased with their selections and service was swift and pleasant! The only issue I had was that they charged an extra dollar to substitute a different cheese in a chicken sandwich without mentioning it. With a smaller venue, the gastropubs ability to cycle customers is excellent. The flow of outstanding customer service fills the room and is very inviting. Total wait time for food 6 minutes and 24 seconds for west coast fish tacos. The plate is very presentable with a very good distribution of ingredients. The flavor in the best of words is very fresh and flavor full. I am more partial to adding a lime to my fish tacos and my waitress was more then happy to oblige with priority. I would give this restaurant a solid 10/10 with there service and delicious food. It's a must go to in the state of Rhode Island. read more

Can't remember the last time that I ate out and absolutely loved everything from start to finish! I had eaten here when they had first opened and just grabbed a sandwich(that was absolutely delicious btw). This time I brought my wife and had the whole "experience". Server Jen was perfect and some spot on suggestions from the manager(Jamie, I believe) just topped it all off. The Jerk Wings and Truffle Fries were excellent, along with the Cobb Salad and Filet Medallion Entree that was cooked to perfection. We walked into Cork & Rye just wanting a couple of burgers and to check out the new place. As we wAited for a table we watched dish after dish get carried past us. Each one looked more delicious than the next. We sat at the raw bar and had some laughs with Jamie who was manning the raw bar and Katie the Bar Director. Had an awesome experience today! Noel was a great server, friendly and attentive. We had garlic parmesan wings which were cooked perfectly! The fish sandwich was fantastic! This is our first here. I understand this is a new establishment. My first impression was they did a very nice job renovating. The bar is lovely. The staff was attentive. Our waitress brought us water after we sat down. Nice. Most places don't bring water unless you ask. I took one sip of my water and I almost choked. It was clearly tap water and not good tap water. I couldn't drink it. Should I have mentioned this to the waitress? Maybe. But we just got there. We wanted to try the food. The establishment is new. So let's let the water go for now. As we looked over the menu, deciding on a draft beer, a gentleman went into the rest room. He was in there for a while. Once he left the bartender ran to the rest room and sprayed air freshener. It was needed from where we were sitting! Seriously. Not a good start for our dining experience! On to the food. Cork and Rye calls their pub a Gastropub. Cute, but it is no reason to over charge for food unless it is exceptional. The food here was not. They steak sandwich was $16 and it had a lot of fat. That isn't a bad thing when you are eating a steak, but not a steak sandwich. Spitting out fat? Not good. Back to the draft beers. They were a bit pricey. They have a good selection! But $9.00 for a draft beer is a bit much. And back to the odor from the rest room? We watched the bartender spray air freshener a number of times. Our overall experience was not great. It seems Cork and Rye is trying to be an upscale Gastropub that belongs in Providence or another upscale community. read more

So this was our first night at Cork and Rye. My wife and I have been intrigued ever since the opened, and we finally decided to give it a try. I have to say the food, staff, and atmosphere, are all above average. But all of that does come with a price. My wife ordered Eggplant casserole and I had the shrimp scampi, which were priced at $16/piece, (one of the cheaper options) While they were both delicious, given the portions, I feel they should have been priced in the $12-14 range, meaning it's over priced. I did have a cocktail, which was $11. Again pretty good, but for the portion, $8-10 range would have been more appropriate. This absolutely would have been a 5 star review if not for the fact that for a meal and a few drinks, it was over $60 for just my wife and I. I can see $60 if we had some left over to take home, but since that wasn't the case, More like $50 after tip would have been more appropriate given the portions. I do feel like it's a good restaurant because in addition to being tasty, the staff took care to ensure my shrimp scampi was well away from my wife's dish as she has a food allergy to shell dish. So Again my issue certainly isn't with the food, or the wonderful staff, I just feel it's over priced. So yes, I certainly would recommend this restaurant to a friend, but would warn them they are a bit over priced. Hoped this helped. read more
