Enjoyed a great Sunday Brunch at The Tap Room in Farmingdale. I've been here before for some drinks…read moreand apps, but since we are holding my bridal shower here in June, we wanted to go for brunch to get a better feel for that menu. Our server Jacqueline was very sweet and attentive. We had ordered a cider flight. 3 out of 6 tasted like an IPA and we asked to swap it out. They were very accommodating and swapped it without question. Our guests' Bloody Marys were strong and spicy. We tried the short rib skillet, short rib sliders, American breakfast and breakfast burrito. The short ribs were soft and tender and the garlic Parmesan potatoes were AMAZING. (My mom actually went and spoke to the event manager to make sure we could have them at my shower.) The bacon was crispy and eggs cooked perfectly. Brunch prices were very reasonable considering the portions and quality. Overall, it was a great brunch experience and we can't wait to come back!

First off, I hold Tap Room to a very good standard as I have been to the Huntington and Bayshore locations and have had great experiences however I was not a fan of the Farmingdale location food wise. I went about three weeks ago and had a pretzel and a whiskey burger. The pretzel was delicious but the burger was tasteless. I thought that maybe its an off-day or something. I came back this past week and had the 20 for $20 wing special. My wings were dryer than the Sahara Desert. I chewed them and had to spit them out. I feel bad saying this but im still going to come back. The food is typically good, great deals on drinks, the staff are always friendly, but the food lately was not good. I will definitely be back for a third try.

We ordered Calamari - 7/10 was light flakey decent quality…read more, marinara personally could've been more seasoned as it was simple marinara Croxleys famous wings-8/10 small wings but definitely crispy and meaty sauced and tempered perfectly upon arrival Potato skins- 9/10 one of the best items today which we got , was proportionate on the toppings and honestly for some reason just meshed much better than anywhere else I had potato skins , was definitely made good Chicken quesadillas 9/10 was one of the better quesadillas I've had at the majority of places I've been , filled with meat and cheese , was delicious , would've loved to see a sauce incorporated inside as opposed to sour cream guac and salsa but that's just me , definitely something I'd get again Chipotle bbq burger 8/10- this burger was actually one of my favorites Ive had in a while my partners burger was cooked to perfection mine was slightly over on the internal temp but flavor wise was one of the best burgers I've had in a while, the tator tots were really good would get that again as well( burger perf camping of cheese bbq chipotle ext) Shrimp tacos 5/10 now I know the score looks low compared to everything else but it's not because of how it was cooked or because it didn't taste good , the prep was great but honestly I felt this dish could've incorporated more luster in terms of acidity sweetness just anything the shrimp was light and crispy and yummy but again nothing on it season wise or not that I noticed and the slaw was very simple did not have much flavor unfortunately and the sauce added was so light in flavor , the majority of the flavor was tortilla which tasted fresh and lettuce. Would think apple cider pineapple juice maybe some heat as well would make this slaw next level. Again the taco was good in cooking standards but lacked any flavor. Sorry :( The service here was GREAT even though it was super busy which I love to see not only one person checking on us but multiple , greetings were nice and the ambiance was very sport bar esk today with families and individuals coming to enjoy , JASMINE our server was super nice and I hope to see her again , such a lovely vibe and just seems like a good person. I hope others get to enjoy my here experience as I did today Overall 8/10 ! Also fairly affordable with many specials throughout the week !

My friend later got a beer that was also flat, batting 0 for 3 here. I used to love the wings but my wings were literally cold. They couldn't even have been sitting under the warmer bc they were cold. She never came back to ask how anything was once the food dropped and I sat there with my wings getting colder. I actually had to ask for a box and the check bc the table was never touched. I was going to go today for the soccer game but my friend refused. Awful.

That's the kind of place you'll want to linger long after your plate is empty. We had French Onion Soup, and it was everything you want from a classic. Rich, deeply caramelized onion broth with incredible savory flavor, topped with a toasted baguette that soaked up just enough broth while still keeping a little bite. The bubbling layer of melted mozzarella and Swiss stretched with every spoonful. There was a flavor I couldn't place, but had me thinking herbaceous Italian seasonings, which isn't typically the flavor profile of French onion soup, gave it a unique flavor and made every bite more irresistible. The Asian Chicken Salad was anything but ordinary. Crisp romaine and crunchy red cabbage were tossed with tender grilled chicken, crunchy cashews, and fresh scallions. We got the sesame ginger vinaigrette on the side, which struck the perfect balance of nutty, tangy, and slightly sweet. Every forkful had a fresh crunch followed by a burst of bright, savory flavor that kept us coming back for another bite. The Chicken Taco Salad arrived in a crispy tortilla shell that was almost too pretty to break into, but we're glad we did. Juicy marinated chicken, creamy avocado, fresh pico de gallo, sweet corn and black bean salsa, chopped greens, and a generous blend of Mexican cheeses were all tied together with a smoky chipotle-lime vinaigrette. Cool sour cream mellowed the gentle heat, creating the perfect combination of creamy, smoky, zesty, and fresh in every bite.

I was really looking forward to the zucchini fries, so I was a little disappointed that they seemed to lack actual zucchini. Truthfully, with just a little more care they could have been exceptional. The street corn was pretty good overall, but I felt it was missing that fresh squeeze of lime and some chopped cilantro to really bring all the flavors together. ‍ Now, the peach bourbon... you can definitely taste the bourbon! No complaints there I ordered the lamb tacos and they were very flavorful, filling and definitely one of the highlights of the meal. The fried cheese was also delicious and surprisingly filling. Overall, not a bad experience at all. A unique fusion concept with a lot of potential and just a few small details away from really standing out. Would definitely be interested in coming back and trying more of the menu!

I admit it, I love the skin! We ordered a bucket of 8 pieces, and chose mac and cheese and cole slaw. We also ordered a side of jalapeno corn bread. There's really no good news here. The chicken was so dry inside, we couldn't eat it and thrw out all 8 pieces. The mac and cheese wasn't terrible, but I've certainly had better. It too was dry, and was basically one big piece of mac and cheese. The cole slaw was..... interesting. It was an odd pinkish color (red cabbage?) with really no sauce that I could find.
