I came here on a Thursday with 3 girlfriends. We made a reservation but there was plenty of seating. We ordered the chips and guac as an app I ordered the moussaka enchiladas for dinner and it was so good. The béchamel was so creamy and I loved the meat and eggplant inside My friends got the lamb shank orzo and birria tacos. We all devoured our meals. We also loved the dessert. The churro nachos. The chips were cinnamon sugar and so crispy and covered in dulce de leche, strawberries, banana and a scoop of ice cream. The baklava cheesecake was also great. Our waitress was great, she didn't rush us. The restaurant was filled with tables of friends of all ages and it was so nice to see. They also have bar seating. Went in June 19 for an early dinner around 6. The food took quite sometime. My friend got fajitas (I think) and I got a salad. Not complaining about the time because the food was delicious and very fresh so it was worth the bit of an extra wait. The interior of the restaurant is cool. Very artsy. My only complaint stems from the waitress's attitude when I asked her simple questions about the bar drinks. I asked "do you know how many oz of liquor there are in the Nutella martini" ? She rolled her eyes and answered "no" . I responded , "okay.... Can you go ask the bartender then She said "yeah", rolled her eyes again and turned around to go ask... I also asked if she had any recommendations because I was torn between all of the dessert martinis!! She said something to the effect of "Just pick one, they are all popular".... The whole interaction felt like I was inconveniencing her. Whatever. My friend and I didn't interact with her the rest of our time there. If we needed something, we asked any of the other servers walking by, who fyi were a lot sweeter. Overall, would go back to try other items since the concept is interesting. The food is tasty. The service is good. The people are great. The ambiance is cozy. It's a small restaurant. I went with a couple of friends and the main dish did take a while to arrive. The appetizers were delicious, we got the calamari and yucca fries. The only thing I will say is that their portions do not match what they're charging. I thought it was a bit overpriced and we barely got calamari and yucca fries. Our main dish was tacos and we barely got anything. The whole idea of having a mix of Greek and Mexican cuisine is cool and wonderful. I don't want to stray you away from this place. A friend told me about Grexicana and after reading about the Greek/Mexican fusion, I couldn't wait to check it out. The food was such an interesting mix of Greek and Mexican and was very good. There was so much to choose from. I asked the server where the motivation came from to mix Greek and Mexican and he said the chef is Mexican and the owner Greek. Perfect! I recently checked out Grexicana in Farmingdale after spotting it through one of my American Express resy dining promotions. I had some restaurant credits to use and figured it was the perfect chance to try something new. The name caught my attention right away because it is a mix of Greek and Mexican cuisine, which is not something you see every day. Awesome that it is located blocks alway from my home. I met up with a friend from the neighborhood for a few late-night drinks, and we decided to stop by. The place has a cozy and trendy interior, and it wasn't too crowded for a Saturday night around 9 PM. It was a comfortable spot to relax, enjoy a few drinks, and catch up after dinner. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered beers, nachos, and their standout lamb tacos. The combination of Greek and Mexican flavors worked surprisingly well. The lamb (gyro?) ) was flavorful and it was such a creative twist to have it wrapped in a taco. The nachos were generous in portion and went perfectly with our drinks. The overall presentation and taste of everything made the experience even better. I honestly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. It is the kind of place where you can unwind, have a few drinks, and enjoy good food without feeling rushed. The concept itself is refreshing, and it feels like they really put effort into making the fusion work. Not a huge place and it was for sure lively on a Friday night. The bar side kinda gives divey vibes. The dinning space has the murals displaying the Greek and Mexican fusion. Quite a concept, not something I've seen before. They have a large creative menu that embodies their fusion but I have mixed feelings with what we got. For drinks, we got a classic margarita and the hibiscus agua Fresca. The margarita wasn't bad wasn't great. The hibiscus tasted more like pomegranate but I did enjoy it(I like pomegranate). To eat we got the chorizo saganaki Mac and cheese. I actually did enjoy this. It was cheesy a nice amount of chorizo and good choice in noodle. We also got the calamari and yucca fries app. It had a truffle esque sauce. I liked it but it was too thick. Almost buttery consistency it didn't work well for a fried item. The calamari was mid and not a lot of yucca(personally prefer a less battered yucca fry). The food took a very long time to come out. The bartender apologized and we weren't in a rush so we didn't really mind but the calamari and yucca didn't really come out hot. The standouts were definitely the salmon al pastor and the mole enchiladas--both were flavorful and well executed. The fish taco was also very good, especially with the pickled onions. The shrimp taco, however, was a bit dry since it didn't come with a sauce. For dessert, we shared the churro split and Mexican brownies. Both were good and definitely on the sweet side, but the real stars here are the mains. We didn't order drinks, but many tables around us did, so they must be doing something right on that front too. I had compiled a list of 10 Farmingdale restaurants, and although all of them were highly acclaimed. There was only one place my tummy craved. Grexicana, a Greek-Mexican restaurant with Mexican and Greek art plastered on its walls, and mystical music lightly comforting the ambiance. It was to my surprise and excitement the place was empty. As if they were waiting for us, and the experience was so nice, like we reserved the restaurant and became part of their family. The service was superb. I didn't feel guilty asking the waitress for her recommendation, and as I listened intently to her description of the top menu items, I realized a big problem. EVERYTHING SOUNDED SO GOOD. We had the grilled halloumi with carnitas as an appetizer and I loved how familiar the ingredients were to me. Delicious squeaky cheese fried lightly and paired with tasty lamb and sauce. I recommend pairing the hot sauce with the pickled jalapeno and onion. I loved our entree, the lamb birria over orzo; the orzo served as a shuttle of flavor and the lamb was tender sitting in its juices. There's nothing a man craves more at the end of the day than tender meat and a juicy trip to flavortown. My partner had the chorizo pastitsio, a harmonious marriage of Mexican & Greek. The bechemel would slide into the pasta and chorizo, leaving a lingering satisfaction so divine after every bite. Just when we were about to leave we we were offered Pandora's box...we opened the dessert menu. Our greatest hits all curated coincidentally into one menu. Churro, icecream, brownies, baklava, cheesecake. I had the baklava cheesecake w/ baklava icecream and my partner had the brownie w/ icecream. The first taste of our plates had our eyes wide, and when we experimented with what we ordered, it was otherworldly experience. Pricing was fair, and the portion size was exemplary, we came home with plenty of extra plates to share and enjoy for the next day. We came here for my brother's birthday, and it was a great experience! We were a party of nine. I had the green apple pomegranate mocktail it was phenomenal! For starters, we had the cheese curds, calamari, and guacamole, and honestly, I was so surprised by the flavors in each dish. I had the salmon as my entrée and was blown away. Came in after seeing an Ig post about the restaurant, it so happened to be the ending of love island and they were doing a weekly showing on a Sunday, which is also Bogo -/2 drinks, and they hosted a Q&A event! Super cute. The place is not big but the food made a statement! It is very clean and the staff was so friendly! We have sent several people here 20plus, bc we rave about the food, the care and staff! The owner was so nice and accommodating to us and our child! We had a wide arrange of food, from entree to appetizers and drinks and everything was just spot on! Relatively new place, seems to be busy all the time. We called to make a reservation and the table was ready by the time we arrived. Service was great; the manager/owner was walking around surveying the service and the food. For the appetizer we had the empanada and the crab cake, which was a specialty item. And for the entree the grilled steak and lemon wedges was good. I believe they have something with the Grexi cheesesteak queso wrap. It's super filling and delicious. Majority of the people I seen who ordered this had to take the other half to go for leftovers. The drinks were good as well. I don't want to trash this place because the people were extremely friendly and the food wasn't bad per se, it just didn't live up to the hype. The idea of Greek/Mexican fusion combined with some impressive social media photos gave the impression that I was in for something mind blowing, but in the end things were sort of middle of the road. Birria empanada was perfectly hot & crisp but not much flavor, although I will say the accompanying consomme was very tasty. Lemon potatoes were decent but extremely oily. What I'd hoped would be the star of the show, the "signature" moussaka enchiladas were the biggest disappointment. Mole & bechamel sauces lacked the flavor punch they should've delivered, corn tortillas a tad on the mushy side and filling a bit bland. Again, not awful just not what I had imagined. It's a new spot and it was early in the afternoon so hopefully things get straightened out and maybe the flavors are more on point at dinner time but for now unless I hear things have changed return is unlikely. read more

Ordered a decent amount of food for 4 people- and it was way to much. Appetizers we ordered both empanadas, octopus, zucchini fries and the chips and guacamole. Zucchini fries and guacamole were a decent size, easily shared among 4 people. Both the chips and guac could have used more salt/seasoning. For mains we had the birria Quesadilla (plenty big for a meal), Lamb gyro platter, Grexi cheesesteak wrap and chicken Paillard. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Quesadilla also could have used more salt, and the cheesesteak combo with the feta was very enjoyable. Service throughout the meal was very attentive. I was very excited about trying this new restaurant due to the fact that I love Greek food and love Mexican food. It is the perfect combination. There is plenty of parking on both sides of the restaurant which is always good; it is located in a somewhat residential area so make sure not to drive past it. They have a nice little outside area that has great potential to be a beautiful area to enjoy a couple of drinks during the warmer months to come. As appetizers; my family and I ordered their fried zucchini which was fried to perfection and packed with flavor. As my entree, I ordered their birria quesadilla with a side of lemon potatoes. The quesadilla was a very nice size so I was able to take some home. I loved the amount of meat that they put inside the quesadilla and the flavor that it had; it came with consume, guacamole and sour cream to dip which was a nice combination of flavors. The lemon potatoes were citrusy and paired wonderfully with my meal. My boyfriend ordered their lamb over orzo which he devoured. I'm not a huge fan of lamb but let me tell you, this lamb was tender and had so many flavors from the broth and orzo that I think I became of fan of lamb. To end the whole meal, we ordered churros that came with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream and slices of banana which created a churro banana split. The churros were sweet and paired so well with the ice cream. Kalli, the owner, was walking around greeting every single table and really shows her love for her new restaurant which is always nice to see. If you're asking yourself "how does Greek and Mexican food actually go together?" So am I, even after my dinner there a few weeks ago. But let me tell you, it works! This was hands down one of the best meals I've had in a very, very long time. My friends and I pick a new spot every month to try and this has been on our list since they opened and I'm glad we got here. Everything was unbelievably good. We started with the elote boneless wings (TO DIE FOR!) and one each of the empanadas. Both amazing as well. Then between the 3 of us we had the chorizo pastitsio, stuffed chile relleno and the cheesesteak wrap. Incredible is the only way to describe any of the dishes. Everything was delicious and flavorful and just worked. If I had to have one gripe, it would be that I wished the margaritas were a bit stronger. Definitely tasty, especially the spicy pineapple, but on the weaker side. They also have a bunch of different happy hour specials during the week. I really can't wait to come back and try more. The owner was super nice, coming around to all of the tables during the night. We arrived at 5pm on Saturday evening and every table was full, since they were already completely booked for the evening we took seats at the bar. We soon found out why this place was fully booked. We shared the Birria quesadilla appetizer. It was delicious, with one of best Birria consumes I have ever had. It was so stuffed that it was enough for a meal. This place is a hit. It's kinda off the beaten path in farmingdale and has a dive bar in the middle of nowhere type vibe but the food was pretty awesome. Service was a little weird at first, they were acting like there was no room for us since we didn't have a reservation meanwhile the place was pretty empty and not even one person at the bar and it never filled up while we were there. But anyway on to the main event-all the delicious food. We started with the elote boneless wings, birria empanada and phyllo wrapped feta. I didn't love the empanada so next time I would skip that but those wings and that feta-wow. They were so flavorful, idk which I liked better and feta really isn't my go to choice for cheese normally. My friends and I split everything so for entrees we got the chorizo pastitsio, stuffed chile relleno & the steak Crunchwrap with a side of lemon potatoes.
