Mine and my family's favorite ever spot in Albany. While I hated living there, this place never did anything but brighten the day! The pictures attached are actually donuts I had a friend swing by Albany to pickup and bring to the Seattle area, that's how much we love em. Very cheap prices that for the quality of donuts and selection are shocking. Favorites are double chocolate cake donuts and the fruit filled. Honorable mentions for the old fashion and bear claw. Will note that on my first occasion, their fruit filled bear claws have been raw and doughy inside... hope this issue was fixed, but hasn't been anything I've noticed since. Seating available inside if you're looking to eat in. Very clean and nice workers that are ready to pack your treats very efficiently! With lots of parking off the main road and a speedy drive thru, it's all too convenient to be getting Corks! read more

So I'll say this. I've ordered many times going through the drive through in the early morning 5 or so. That's very convenient and all my coworkers just love how big and fresh the doughnuts are. I'm normally not a super huge doughnut fan but have to say I liked all of the ones I've tasted here. I'm now a big maple bar lover. What's nice so far is they can get them as you tell them and it's actually pretty fast service. They've been super nice every time I've ever been there and you can actually see inside the building. So if you like big fresh doughnuts then that's a pretty good place and the prices aren't bad. So go and get you a dozen cork's doughnuts for your coworkers and the bosses should stop there too. My husband and I absolutely love this great little "Doughnut Shop". It's so much better to go inside than to drive through....that way you get to see the donuts up close and visit with their ever friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. I was driving through Albany with an empty belly when I saw this shop. A quick Yelp search led me to believe that stopping here would be a quick and excellent way to sate my hunger. I love donuts of all kinds, from plain cake to fancy raised with unusual toppings and fillings. My only requirement is that they be well made. And these donuts aren't. While the prices are reasonable and the staff were pleasant, the donuts were... not good. I got a maple bar and a bear claw with apple filling. The maple bar looked tempting and was quite large, but it was dry and had very little glaze. It was actually worse than a donut from Safeway (which is my benchmark of unacceptably bad donuts). The bear claw was literally raw in the middle. I thought that perhaps it was too full of fruit filling and that affected the bake, but when I cut the donut in half to take a better look I only found 8-9 microscopically small pieces of apple. I ended up throwing out both donuts after having two bites of each. read more

They're open from 5a.m. until 2p.m. But 3/5 attempts they have been out of product. I have been there as early as 9:30a.m. and they have been sold out. They stay open, but just don't sell anything its weird. I can only give 2 stars because they're not consistent. Donuts are good, but they're not awesome. And I don't understand a business that keeps running out of product. Make more guys your numbers are obviously good. Why pay an employee for 4 hours of work to just sit in an empty Doughnut shop. read more

Corks is still open for its walk in service and it's drive thru. Their donuts are fresh, large, and delicious. I had two of my favorites a raspberry bear claw and apple fritter. They weren't dense and heavy they light, raised and cooked to perfection. Great donuts! read more

I am so glad my husband and I decided to try this place out. Their donuts are great and the maple bars are big in comparison to your regular sized one at a grocery store. My personal favorite is the Bavarian cream horn. The price is not bad at all, especially with the fresh quality and large sizes! It can get a little cramped inside if it's busy. There are a few tables, but we've always had to get ours to go, as it's been full every time. read more

The staff here are a shining glory! The young ladies who helped us very super nice and attentive. The donuts were fresh and reasonable priced. This place really adds to the small town feel of Albany. I ordered an eclair, it was delicious! The coffee is the biggest downside. They offer pricey espresso drinks, but I did not try them. The coffee was pretty terrible, and comparable to gas station coffee. I would highly recommend the donuts here! read more

They have the biggest maple bars and chocolate bars I have ever seen. They are only a few bucks each, I want to say $2. They also have a maple and chocolate mix. The service was quick and the donuts are excellent. This isn't a chain shop, everything is homemade fresh everyday. They also have a lot of other donuts I didn't try. read more

So, I have had a couple hits AND a couple misses at this place. The hits were very late at night when they use to be open then (different owners?) and they goods were hyper fresh. To die for. BUT, as you know, these things have a shelf life and believe me they age quick. So, don't get there late. I live right down the street and yes the doughnuts go fast. Thats because they are so dam good. Once you get a chance to grab one it is worth it. Even after two days, it still has a bit of freshness. With the online ordering, more peeps should be able to get some doughnuts. read more

The last two times we've given this place a chance they have had nothing left by 10am on the weekend that we asked for. Instead we've had them say, "can we just tell you what we DO have left?" So, they probably have decent donuts very early in the morning, but don't go after 10. read more

Their donuts are so light and fluffy. They're better than supermarket donuts and they're only marginally more expensive. The only downside is that they run out of donuts relatively quickly unless you come early in the morning. I highly recommend them! The maple bars are my favorite. read more

I've been going to Cork's for as long as I can remember. I remember going there as a little girl and thinking it was the most magical place in thee world. I still think it's magical to be honest. Cleanliness: I've never worried about the cleanliness of this place. The front is always clean and the display cases are always clean as well. Service: The workers at Cork's are very friendly. They always greet you with a smile on their face. After stopping by a few times they began to recognize me and even remember what donut I order. Food: The donuts are excellent! They are very fluffy and delicious. I've found that they are better earlier in the morning simply because they are more fresh. However, that is true for all donut shops (at least the ones I've been to). Also I feel like the frosting is worth mentioning. It is thick and wonderful tasting. Price: I usually buy two bismarcks and a chocolate milk and spend under $5. I feel like that's a great deal. I definitely would rather come here for breakfast than spend the money at some fast food place or on supermarket donuts. The food quality is better and it's definitely less expensive than fast food. Drive Thru: I love this option! If you're in a hurry or simply don't feel like getting out of your car just go through the drive thru. It is fast and easy. The only bad thing is that you can't really see the donut options very well. Overall, this place is awesome. The service is great and the food is great. I always have a very pleasant experience while visiting. read more
