Corndance Tavern was highly recommended by both friends and colleagues as one of the best restaurants in the Mishawaka area. It was quite a pleasant experience to dine here. The service is exceptional and the food is delicious. We loved the potato skins which were unique in that they were more like tempura than traditional potato skins. The Brussels had a ton of flavor as did the steaks and salads. The highlight was probably the Sword of John Adams. It's basically a giant kabob with grilled meats (steak, lamb & chicken) and vegetables. It reminded me of something I imagine you'd see at Medieval Times but much more tastefully done. The Pumpkin Spice Gelato and Crème Brûlée were a nice way to finish our dinner. A bit unexpected that they also offer sushi. We did not try it this time but based on our first experience, would feel confident to try it next time since everything was SO good.

I cannot recommend this place enough. My child and I happened on this place because she loves filet mignon and they did not disappoint. It was cooked perfectly, accompanied by the chimichurri she requested. I had a steakhouse bacon cheeseburger that was also amazing. Everything tasted so fresh! Our server, Sierra, was the best. She is so friendly and helpful. She took good care of us by making sure our drinks were always refilled and that we had everything we needed, as well as making great recommendations. The restaurant also has a great vibe. We felt very comfortable there. At the end Sierra gave my kiddo tiny little ducks and a little pig. My baby was SO happy!!! I foresee us returning to this restaurant while on our trip. If I could give it more stars I would do so.

We've been to Corndance twice and both times were excellent. We made a reservation each time because even on a week day, the restaurant fills up quickly (good sign). The waiters are always friendly and knowledgeable on the specials. The food comes out quick, hot, and delicious. I really enjoy that they continue to switch out the meats on the sword and their specials based on what's fresh.

Always a great experience. This is our go-to place for birthdays, anniversaries, or when anyone visits us from out of town. Love their steaks, and the rotating specials give us the option to try something new every once in a while. Never gotten a dish that wasn't delicious.

    ATLANTIC SALMON...WITH BROCOLLINI...

We were here in Mishawaka, IN for my oldest son's birthday celebration. Hunter was our waiter and he was excellent. Well informed. Pleasant and a GREAT server. Knows his stuff very well. He was a complete JOY! My 9 year old granddaughter and I (64 yrs old) got the same thing. The Atlantic Salmon. Oh my goodness the salmon was EVERYTHING (Farm Raised I do believe) and it's a good thing since it truly is the star of the show. She ate all of the salmon. She didn't like the rice and left most of everything else. The rice came in a corn husk and was a bit sticky but it was delicious with all of the other compliments. For me everything was great...except...the charred brocollini. Charred but not tender...there's a fine line and well....it did not make the cut. It was borderline awful. Very tough...chewy...chewy...and chewy some more. Not enjoyable at all. A huge disappointment. Everything else though? Top Notch. I would still recommend this place but beware of the charred brocollini!

Nice presentation but doesn't taste good :(

Relatively pricy for HUGE quantities of meat, pretty good quality, but not fabulous. It's in the same equivalence class as Cafe Navarre

It was okay. The restaurant had an overall great vibe, but was a little pricey for the quality.

Great appetizers and wine list. But the dry aged steaks are the star here- they were amazing.

    Are children allowed?

    yes

Is it ok to wear shorts?

Yes. I wore shorts the last time. All pretty casual here.

Would you share the consumption per person? thank you

I'm not sure what you mean by consumption but the portions are hearty you won't go away hungry and the cost for a husband and wife with possibly a few cocktails is somewhere around $100.

Unfortunately we were completely ignored at our table. Several other two-tops got seated and the large party and they were all attended and even got their drinks before anyone greeted us or got our drink order. Eventually we moved tables to something more in the center of the dining room and still no one came to us. It wasn't until I flagged down a group of servers and food runners chit chatting by the corridor to the bathroom that someone finally came to our table. It's a shame the service sucked because the food was delicious. I loved my plum wine and spicy creamy V ramen. I added some extra veggie toppings which I think gets ridiculously pricey considering the ramen is already priced kind of high. My boyfriend had the chicken wings and white rice. He seemed to have enjoyed it. The following time I ordered delivery to avoid the spotty service we received last time. The packaging was great and it arrived early and was nice and hot. The V red fire opal ramen was DELICIOUS. And I'm absolutely obsessed with the matcha tiramisu. Delectable. I still want to try the Flying V harvest ramen. I appreciate they have several vegetarian options, considering the majority of the menu contains pork. Perhaps the next time I dine in and the service is improved they'll get that 5th star.

Looked like an interesting place. Goodness, it was NOT disappointing! Vibe inside was eclectic, colorful, and fun. Our server was fabulous! Friendly but not obtrusive. Knew the menu well. Did everything with a smile! We started with their fresh made guac and the best freshly made tortilla chips we've ever had in a restaurant. We shared the verde salad...spinach, arugula, chocio corn, white beans, grilled avocado slices, jicama, pepitas, honey garlic dressing. Kinda exciting to get a salad unlike any other! So good! Hubby had the Chochinita Pibil...yucatan slow-roasted pork with all the fixings (look at the menu for details) and accompanied by their freshly made, banana leaf wrapped corn tortillas. I had the Peruvian Street Chicken, stacked high on the plate with, among other things, olive tapenade and the most delicious charred lightly smashed potatoes. It was HUGE and easily could have served 2-3 people (needless to say, we doggie-bagged mire than half of it!). Again, unique and taste-bud exploding flavors! Hubby tried, and enjoyed, their hose brewed Mexican lager which he says was crisp and malty. I cannot fail to mention the beverage I tried (on server's recommendation), the Mole Dream Mezcalita. Spicy. Cold. Good to the last savored sip! Will we go again? YES! Might even bring some friends for a quick road trip!

Generally, tasty food…read more The guac and yuca fries were better than the crispy calamari, while my spicy poblano mexcalrita did the trick after a long wait for a 7 PM reservation (we were bottled up in the tiny front waiting area for nearly 40 minutes while another group finished up, which the restaurant compensated us for by throwing in a couple of freebies). For dinner, I got the chicken tinga dorados and was very satisfied; for $9, this appetizer was absolutely enough to be a full dinner for me and was very tasty. I don't love the space here for a lot of reasons, but the food is great and the service was relatively quick once we got seated. Looking forward to a return visit the next time I'm in town!
