    Tri Tri-Tip Steakhouse

Wife and I occasionally go here and have a good enough experience to come back. This time, not so much. Placed the order over the phone for a tri tip steakhouse bowl for myself and saucy buffalo chicken bowl for my wife. The tri tip steakhouse bowl was missing the rosemary red potatoes along with the onion crisps. Not to mention the laughable amount of trip tip steak that was included in it. Completely overdone and bizarrely small pieces. The whole point of going here is to get some decent protein in and this amount wouldn't fill up a bird. Wife's bowl was missing cheese, tortilla strips, cilantro and basil. Just glad we were able to apply a gift card to this order. Very disappointed!

Stopped in for a quick lunch today and tried the poke bowl. I have never been to a core life before so this was a new experience, it seems like you can order a bowl almost like being at chipotle or qdoba. The okie bowl has just the right amount of spice and tons of flavor. The girl working the register seemed to be taking her time but I had the time so I can't complain. I will definitely be stopping back by when I am in town again!

    Korean BBQ Pork

I am usually the biggest fan of CoreLife. Healthy and delicious. Unfortunately had a terrible experience today. Ordered a Korean BBQ pork bowl and noticed the employee had no clue how to make it. Eventually she found it on the cheat sheet and started putting tiny pinches of toppings into the bowl. I ordered the large because I enjoy eating it for dinner and eating the rest for lunch the next day. This "large" bowl wouldn't have even weighed up to a usual regular size bowl. After finishing up with the rice and veggies, she started adding the pork. The pork container was obviously empty while she fished around for tiny strands of pork to add. The pork was about half the portion as usual which was on par with the rest of the bowl. I've never ordered a CoreLife bowl where the contents don't touch the lid while closed. This bowl had a consistent 2 inch gap between the food and lid. CoreLife is on the pricier side of the fast food experiences out there, but it's usually always worth it. Today, my $14 bowl was NOT worth it. Obviously the two kids running the place were very new so I don't blame them but still disappointed. As you can see in the picture, you can see much wall space within the bowl. Usually you can't see any because it's actually full

Love this location it's so delicious and fresh, I love the build your own bowl option I get a ton of add ins and the bowl usually comes out to be less than 15$! Super affordable and everything is always really clean inside. The only downside is the staff isn't that nice and they're not great at handling big crowds when it's busy.

    Kids Chicken Quesadilla

Honestly not worth the price we paid. Kids meal was super small with nothing included. Just the small quesadilla for $6. The Korean BBQ pork was fine. Nothing I would come back for. Then my moms southwest bbq chicken was lacking in portion size as well. Honestly this place is way overpriced for the food. Also no sodas so mom was disappointed. Service was short and to the point. Restaurant was clean and lots of seating. We won't be back.

The Bowl of Bowls!! I stopped into Corelife while in the SouthBend area. I had completed a gruelling workout at Crossfit South Bend and I was famished. I was looking for something different and not the usual fare. I asked the folks at Crossfit for a recommendation for someplace clean and healthy I could eat they told me this was the place to go. I walked in off the street and from the outside, it didn't look like anything special but once you walk in you are inundated by the colours and the motivational mottos already subliminally planting the idea that this is a healthy place to eat. Let me warn you, for the first-timer, check out the menu online first to grasp the concept. Once you walk in and it's time to order, you may be a little intimidated by the vast selections. Luckily, it was just after the dinner rush and the staff took their time, helped me pick a few items, and I was very surprised how my bowl turned out. I just happened to hit all my macros and micros, I had lean proteins, fibres, veggies and kept things relatively low carb. My meal turned out to be quite the feast and was delicious. Whatever your dietary concerns are, you're covered whether you're a carnivore, a Vegan, Vegetarian, gluten-free, etc, etc, you'll find something enjoyable to eat.

The restaurant is clean and attractive. I had the Croque Madame, which was literally perfect, and better than those I had in Paris. The bread was perfectly toasted, the cheese perfectly melted, the egg perfectly cooked (not runny, not overly hard), the ham perfectly salted. Others in my group enjoyed the Short Ribs Benedict, Grand Bebe, and Tortilla de Patatas. (I'll note our first visit was the morning after a Notre Dame home game, and their stores were depleted: we could have anything on the menu as long as it was chicken. :) The chicken dishes we had that visit were very well done as well - moist and juicy on the inside and lovely on the outside. Obviously we came back, just not after a home game!)

Onion Soup Gratinee - $11 - Needed salt and wasn't very flavorful. 2/5 stars. Chorizo and Shrimp - $22 - This was easily the best dish. Cooked well, good flavor, and a decent portion (probably because the price is so high). 4/5 stars. Chicken and Leek Puff Pastry - $26 - The pastry was lacking. It was soggy, weird taste to it, and just not pleasant. The filling was also mediocre. Don't get this. 0/5 stars. L'Entrecote de Paris (Steak Frites) - $45 - The steak was chewy, the fries were over salted. For $45, this was not enough steak, whatsoever. Not like it was a good cut either. It's a rip off. 0/5 stars. Pan Roasted Duck Breast - $36 - My mom and I both ordered this, and we could combine both of our dishes to make ONE duck breast. Portion was horribly small. Never have I ever been given HALF a duck breast. The sauce wasn't good either and it was broken. 2/5 stars cause the rest of it was cooked fine. The birthday dessert was a scoop of ice cream and some stale cinnamon pastry thing. This was wildly bad. If the flavors were on point, the prices would be understandable. But the flavors were bad, the prices are expensive, and we waited a very long time to get our food. We couldn't get into a different restaurant that night (it was a Saturday night on move in weekend), but this one we could get into, and now we know why. Don't go here.
