I used to patronize Corner Bakery when I worked downtown in 2018. Back when paper coupons made it reasonable. Fast forward to the current inefficient rewards program which only guarantees awkward disappointment at the register. Rewards Experience I signed up and downloaded the app to get a $5 reward. First I was told that I wasn't "in the system yet" which could take a few days. Next visit I was told my reward expired. Today, I received an email for $6 paninis. I got my coworkers excited and when it was time to pay I was told this location "doesn't participate.." Pros - Tasty Lunch Food is fresh, fast and tasty. Kudos to the Harvest Salad ($13.49) with mixed greens, chicken, blue cheese, apples and cranberries. The Rustic Italian Panini is equally flavorful with smoked ham, salami, provolone, tomato, pesto and pepperoncini on grilled sourdough. Price/Value The panini may be tasty but without a side, it's not worth $11.29. You can combine 2 items - 1/2 panini, 1/2 sandwich and a side - soup, small salad, pasta, fruit to create a combo for $13.49. But the best salads have a "premium" upcharge that's not advertised. So you're unpleasantly surprised at the register when there's a line behind you. And whatever I order I'm hangry two hours later. I may have a lumberjack's appetite cause a male co-worker is satisfied with a Kid's Combo - 1/2 kids sandwich with soup, chips or carrots + fruit or cookie & drink ($6.09). Cons Portion size, $$$, no parking, small cups of h20, a key required to use the restroom like it's a gas station, not honoring promotions, & a lousy rewards program. Also, there are no prices on online. You literally have to find a location and pretend to place an order to see how much items cost. Who does that? Sum Unless you're flush with cash, only a little hungry and in the area anyway, I don't recommend Corner Bakery. I won't return.

Hubby and I had a staycation across the street at Hyatt Regency so we decided to stop by to have a quick breakfast before we checked out. Parking - NONE! It's literally downtown Atlanta so either find a nearby parking deck, valet at the hotel or street parking. Food - I saw someone say this was Panera Breads little cousin and they told not one lie!! I completely concur! You order upon arrival and if you dine in, they give you a number to sit at a table or they will call your number if you're doing take out. I ordered a scramble with potatoes and wheat toast. Hubby ordered the same (with chicken sausage) and an iced coffee. The food was okay. Nothing to rant and rave about - just enough to get the job done. I wouldn't break my neck to come back. It's a great ambiance for WFH situations or meetings.

I don't get out as much as people think. I'm still getting used to the traffic and working on my patience when it comes to getting around in a busy city. So when I go out somewhere, I usually put major time into researching where I'm going. But it's not a fail proof plan. Recently, I had a lunch meeting scheduled and figured that I'd spend the morning out and working until then. Of course I wanted to find a place nearby so that I wouldn't have to do any extra driving to get there. Along came Corner Bakery! Right next door to my lunch spot, open early in the AM and noted to have wifi - perfection. When I arrived, Corner Bakery wasn't what I expected. It looked more like Panera Bread's cousin vs. a local cafe and it was super spacious. Upon entry, you kinda run into the line which showed off some delicious looking crisps for sale. The line moved so swiftly, I didn't get to take too much time to check them out but next time. When I got up to the counter, I was bummed to hear that the frittata bites were all out. I opted for the Chicken Sausage breakfast wrap, hot tea and a hot latte. Less than like 2 or 3 minutes after I ordered, my drinks were ready! My latte was soooo goood! I wish I had gotten a larger cup. I was given a number to put on display at my table and took a seat in the corner near an outlet to work. I got real comfy with my hot drinks, laptop and iPad (my normal wfh setup on the go) and went to get connected to their wifi to work on some Yelp magic and .... Nada. The wifi didn't work :( It was open and there but, nothing. Zip. No connection. I was so bummed because like, I'm already settled and I have plans next door in an hour+ lol. Luckily, I have a hotspot on my phone and it saved the day. The cafe got busier than I expected! After sitting for about 15min or so, my food was dropped off to my table. I was super surprised that it was on a paper plate and I was dining in? I didn't realize I was so bougie lol it was a branded plate! Not some random Publix plate lol and I understand that it cuts down on dishes but it was... something else. My wrap wasn't bad. I wish it had more sausage and that it had ingredients dispersed a little more evenly in the tortilla. The sauce/salsa was such a great match! The staff was also wonderful and so helpful from start to finish. Maybe not my go-to breakfast joint but a nice spot to check out if you're nearby.

We saw some of the really cute things in the window, so we walked in and it did not disappoint. The place was filled with chocolates macaroons and a whole bunch of pastries. You could also order a whole variety of espresso drinks and lattes, etc. It even had a really cute seating area directly outside, but if you could fit yourself inside, there was some bar seating as well. The place is not large however, the cases are definitely filled with a lot of goodies. On this particular day, it did take us a little while to make a decision as there are quite a few choices. However, the two staff members who were here that day were very patient with us. We did walk away with macaroons a lemon meringue tart as well as a Canele. You know what it's in the pictures. I do not have a picture of that because it was eaten before I got a chance to take a picture of it. But everything was so tasty absolute perfection. I like the savory pistachios and the creamy and crumbly coconut cream. - Chocolate Chip Cookie: This was such a delicious cookie! Perfectly made in between soft and firm and textures. The sea salt on top was chef's kiss. The lines move pretty fast. There's nowhere to sit and lounge, so you would need to take these pastries elsewhere to enjoy. The staff is also really nice and patient when my friend and I were trying to decide on pastries. Overall, I think these pastries would do good in an air fryer/oven. I would come back, but bring the pastries home to warm and crisp them up a bit. I also really want to try their burger which is only sold on the weekend at certain times!

I called in the morning to confirm the time they serve it. I was told to get here by 12:30pm because they serve the burgers at 1pm and the line gets long and they run out. Found out later in line from the person in front of me that they make 130-170 burgers and they sell them all. That's a lot of burgers. I thought it was all hype because I got there at 12:20pm and there was no line. I went in and asked to make sure this was the right place, the guy said to wait outside, they start selling it at 1pm. I was 1st in line. Waited 5 mins then went to my car to get my headphones. By the time I came back, 3 people were now in front of me. I guess the 12:30pm recommendation was valid. By 12:35pm there were 20 people behind me. I do not like waiting, so I'm glad I was early to at least be served 1st. Never been here before, they are busy. When I got here, it was packed with people buying bread and pastries inside. I didn't get to buy the sourdough bread. It was sold out. Apparently, the locals come every Sunday for this burger. I guess they hang a burger flag out when it's burger time some of the people in the line in front of me felt a way that they didn't do that this time. I guess they're getting comfortable and just trying to knock the rush/crowd out. I think coming at one would be fine if they're selling 170 burgers I think the problem is they don't limit the amount of burgers you can buy. At least I don't think so. Now for this burger. Not worth it. Not worth the wait or the hype. I'm still surprised how basic tasted. They need a housemate sauce or something on it. It's literally just one burger and pickles. If it was pack full of flavor and well seasoned, that would be enough. But it's not. The best part about it is the bun. And 30mins after eating the burger, I didn't feel so good. My stomach started hurting, and that was the only thing I ate all day. I avoid eating beef altogether, but I will here and there as of late. My boyfriend eats beef, but he started feeling sick maybe an hour later as well. I was disappointed because I didn't know they pre-make the burgers and just throw them in the bag. You can't customize it or anything. I think we got sick because the burgers were medium. They were not cooked well, and I always get beef burgers cooked all the way through. The way they're rushing you out of there like an express assembly line is crazy. I really wanted to wait to ask them to prepare me two, made well since they were making burgers as they were going along, I believe. I would have waited to have them made well but the way they were rushing you out, it just wasn't the place to ask for anything extra or additional and I don't like places like that. Too strict too many rules and you don't feel comfortable. Even though you're spending $70 on 2 burgers and some pastries. Compared to a pack of ground beef to make your own burgers, this is a lot. I bought two burgers $17 each, and 5 pastries to try because I won't be coming back here anytime soon. I will say, great pastry selection. I was talking to a guy in line and I asked him if he ever had the kouign amann. It looked good. He said yes, it was good, and the chocolate kouign amann, he's going to try as well. I purchased a chocolate kouign amann, a regular kouign amann, cardamom bun, a hazelnut bun, and monkey bread. I wrote everything down outside that I was going to buy so I didn't waste any time. I already spotted the monkey bread when I walked in. The woman packaging up the food was about to fix her face to say they didn't have any monkey bread, when they were clearly at the other end. Maybe that was her doing me a favor because I was highly disappointed in the monkey bread. I'm on a monkey bread kick, and I have been trying it at a lot of places. This one was not good. They sprinkle lemon zest on it, which kind of threw me off, and the bread itself was very dry even after warming it up, adding melted butter and honey. It still was not good. The best thing was the original kouign amann. The chocolate one was not good because they have chocolate on the inside kind of like moose or ganache, but it was overwhelming. It tasted like dark cocoa chocolate, and I thought the pastry was dark because the whole thing was chocolate, but it actually was burnt. A lot of the items looked burnt to be honest. I think the demand is getting to this place. The cardamom bun was just ok. The hazelnut bun was just an extension of the monkey bread to me. Not a fan. I remember growing up, we went to the local butcher and bakery to get fresh meat, bread, and pastries for cheap. I like the idea of a local bakery and butcher shop like this, but this place is not cheap. I'd skip this one.

For $26, I got a ton of food and 90% of it was absolutely delectable. And I say that with an 8-year-old in tow who enjoyed it too! Let's start with the never again item: the Flossy Bun. It's a popular Chinese pastry made with soft, sweet bread filled and topped with sweet and savory pork floss... allegedly. There weren't any descriptions, so I looked it up online. But let me tell you--no. Just no. I don't get how it's popular. Definitely a cultural preference, and it's not for me. I even paused mid-bite hoping I'd grow into the flavor. Nope. Then there was the Coffee Butter Cream Pastry. I thought at the very least my fiancée would like it since she enjoys coffee flavors. That was another miss. I even gave some to two little ones, and the faces they made reminded me of the time I tried canned octopus. That's how bad the flavor was. But now to the good stuff--because the rest? Fire. BBQ Pork Bun - Yummy! Not packed with meat, but enough to enjoy and super easy to pull apart. I really wish they offered a heated option for this, because that would've put it over the top. Japanese Milk Cream Bun - Super creamy. I do wish it had just a little more cream inside, but the bread was so soft and delicious, I honestly didn't care. Hot Dog Cheese Bun - I got this for the little one and I've never seen a child eat something so fast. I'm taking that as a solid win. Egg Tart - Grabbed this from the front warmer after watching another customer snag one. I had missed it earlier. Not totally my thing on its own, but when I got home and added a little chili paste? Devoured. Hong Kong Boba Milk Tea - I went with this instead of the brown sugar version and kind of regret it, but it wasn't bad at all. All in all, the prices are great, the flavors were mostly on point, and the man at the register was super friendly and open to answering questions. Yeah--I'm sold. Looking forward to coming back!
