Second bad experience. I have severe IBS and Corner Bakery was one of the limited restaurants that I could go to for a IBS "safe" lunch. Unfortunately, corporate decided to go with another chicken noodle soup recipe which is like opening a can of Progresso soup, I miss the old recipe. Today after an IBS flare up episode yesterday, I had a turkey sandwich on white with just meat and bread and the chicken noodle soup. The bread was stale not soft and fluffy and the soup again, yuk but the bowl was 1/2 full. I hate that one of my favorite lunch places that I order from about 2 or 3 times a week is disappointing me, someone who already has dietary issues and has a hard time finding restaurants that will not "kill me" when I have to eat doesn't care any more. Corner Bakery is now off my limited lunch list and that is sad. read more

This place is okay. I waited to eat here twice to give an accurate review. The people who take your order are nice- I wanted to test the pick up option through the mobile app. I picked up my food and ate it in the restaurant. The food was packaged in over size containers that are a huge waste of plastic- I will take them home to wash and recycle. Anyways the food is okay. My sandwich, both time I have cake has been slapped together pretty mediocrely. In order the 3-cheese mac n cheese on the side. They give you a HUGE portion which is nice, but the Mac n cheese doesn't wow me. It is very filling but the cheese is almost like cheddar Alfredo sauce. I'm not sure how they actually make it, but I won't order it again if I come back. The pick two option also comes with a side when I ordered on the app with a generous selection. However when I ordered in the store they didn't tell me that. Overall I might come back again- but I'm not eager. read more

I really like Corner Bakery! To me, this is like a Panera upgrade. There are only a few things I like at Panera, but I would eat almost anything off the menu at Corner Bakery. Lots of lunch meetings will be taking place here in the future! I've had one of the salads, pancakes + eggs+ bacon breakfast, the pesto chicken panini, and a cookie. I don't have anything bad to say about any of it. In fact, I would get all of it again and again. I think my favorite may have been the panini with the breakfast meal a close second. The pancakes were light and fluffy. Not the best I've ever had, but nowhere near the worst. They were delicious! I also love that they have a DRIVE THRU *new mom approved* and the service is so quick. I signed up for their emails and they send coupons quite often. Stopped here because Silver Diner and Metro Diner had a long wait and we passed this place on the way to find somewhere else to eat. Did not disappoint! So glad we stopped here!! We had the bacon cheddar panini with a side of fruit and the eggs bacon and pancakes. The food was delicious!! The pancakes melt in your mouth!! Bacon Cheddar Panini was very good. Solid portions of Egg and Bacon for the price. Eggs were cooked how I liked, only thing I added was a little pepper. Very filling breakfast sandwich. Staff was very friendly and everyone was more than helpful. Speed of service was decent, and the store manager was very pleasant while I waited for my food. For this to be the opening day, the crew was running like a well oiled machine. Will definitely recommend and will be back soon. read more

My daughter and I decided to try this place for lunch. I got a 1/2 sandwich & 1/2 warm bacon spinach salad. My daughter got the BBLT which came with a side. All of the food we tried was very good. The employees were very nice & the restaurant was clean. We paid under $16 for both meals. We will definitely return, especially because they have a drive-thru. read more

Simply put, the best breakfast I've had in years. Pancakes , eggs and chicken sausage with hot coffee. Pancakes were tender and fluffy, hint of vanilla in both the cakes and the syryp, eggs scrambled and cooked fluffy and light and slightly sweet chicken sausage that I substituted for the bacon. Might get the bacon next time. They've been open for a week and by the looks of it, Panera MIGHT need to take notice. They have it down to a science and the food is amazing. Might have to try lunch/dinner very soon. No lack of seating... ample parking, and a drive thru. read more

We were so excited to visit a really great bakery and cafe on our vacation however when we started to place our order at 2:30 we were told, well we close at 3:00 so we have to make everything. My husband asked about the salad dressing choices and the unfriendly and lacking customer service skills teenager behind the counter snidely turned to the menu and proceeded to read them as if to say, we really don't have time for your order. Customer service is not an OPTION if business want to stay in business today. Business owners, corporate and local-invest in training every employee to take ownership in their jobs and give customers the experience they are excited to receive from your business .... that's the reason we are coming to spend our money. In this instance we chose to leave. Sorry Corner Bakery we hope you improve this stores customer service. I went in with a little to high of expectations. I will say the food itself wasn't bad but it's pretty much just a cookie cutter, Panera-style restaurant. They even have the pick 2 exactly like Panera. Quite pricey as well for what you get. Personally would choose Panera over Corner whenever I want that type of food. read more

I left a google review as well. I went in this evening, not a sole in the restaurant. The woman in the front I was looking at her walking toward pick up counter, she's looking me up and down, spins around and finally asks can I help you, really funny energy, hard to speak, huh? Then I make a complaint to the "manager," Stephen I don't know where they got him. He rudely states she didn't do anything. I said she was nasty clearly looking me up and down and being funny. I said she was being rude, Stephen the says, "You are were a nasty as saying clearly." Cursing at me in front of my child! I never raised my voice, nor yelled. I said I'm too grown to be treated like this, he replied, "We all are grown." If I were a man this wouldn't have happened. Also, I do feel like race "clearly" always plays a role since when women of color firmly and respectful address these kinds of behaviors it's met with abuse. Stephen also did this because there was no one around. This man obviously does not want to work and has significant behavioral issues. I'm sure the for hire sign, and a revolving door because of managers like him. He is the most vile, arrogant deplorable person I've met in a management position. As the name suggests, the multigrain bread was delicious. But the rest was just "ok". Scrambled eggs were good, but nothing special. There was a good bit of thinly sliced bacon (reminded me of precooked Costco stuff). Potatoes were cold. Not good for hash browns. Clearly cooked ahead and sitting in an unheated bin. We went in for the first time for a late lunch. Hubby got the southwest salad and I got the roast beef panini. I asked if I could remove the mushrooms and red peppers from the sandwich and was told that it was already pre made and they couldn't remove anything. We looked online and there's the option to remove them on the website. Why would the manager contradict what the website says? The Southwest salad wasn't very good. So disappointing and actually really questioning the food prep/food safety here. I drove though this morning and thank goodness I was just bringing the food home because there were no utensils or napkins included in the bag. I got the uptown turkey sandwich and requested no avocado and that the sandwich be pressed like other paninis they offer on the menu. The bread was so soggy...but also tasted stale. There was clearly avocado placed in the sandwich and then scraped off because there were bits of avocado smeared through the sandehich. Everything was very apparently just slapped together. But what concerns me is that the turkey was luke-warm, like it had been sitting out and not properly refrigerated. My soup was also not even a little hot when I got home, and I live about 5 minutes away. Yuck. I won't be returning, simply not worth the $12+ for this meal. read more

My boyfriend and I have visited this location several times over the past few months. I have to say that I have had nothing but great experiences with the staff here and the food is always on point. I only moved to this side of town last year and I had never heard of Corner Bakery until I moved to this area. The name is a bit off-putting to make it seem that it would be more of a coffee/bagel type of establishment, and they do have that sort of stuff. However, they also have a great selection and variety of many other breakfast type items. I grew up on a farm and I feel like the food that they serve at this establishment is probably the closest thing I have had since moving out of my parents. In addition, everyone that works there is always in a wonderful mood and it is actually rather refreshing to come into a restaurant these days and have a above par experience. I came to his place first time waited 15 min for a sandwich that when I got to my job was cold as though the meatballs were taken out the refrigerator and just placed on the bread. This place is awesome let! I stopped here this morning for breakfast first of all any place where I can get fresh pancakes and scrambled eggs through the drive-through is all right with me. Upon paying the nice young lady explained that because everything is made fresh to order I would need to wait a few extra minutes for my food and that was perfectly fine! I have had the Spinach Sweet Crisp Salad, from here about 4 times. I am not a major fan of spinach, but the combination in this salad is excellent, filling and yet works in my preferred healthy eating plan. The restaurant is many miles from where we live, but we would rather go there, than get something lesser, but closer. The food seems fresh and clean.
