The ordering kiosks are the worst invention in the history of the world. Probably took us 10 minutes to order. We hate it and hate corner bakery for the awful experience. The older people that ordered after us got loud with the manager about their terrible kiosk experience. At the end of my kiosk experience, it asked if I wanted to email/print the receipt. It's been a while since I've been to a corner bakery since they seem to have closed a significant number of them, including both of the ones near my workplace in the Loop. They seem to have gone all in on this kiosk order system, which I suppose is a way to keep themselves a float since obviously they're having issues if they're closing stores left and right, but it's kind of a frustrating change. I placed an order and one of the bakery items in the order was apparently out of stock, but it allowed me to place add it anyway so it seems like their system must not keep a up-to-date inventory of what they actually have. The man who appeared to be the manager seemed fairly apologetic about it and perhaps I should've just taken the extra slice of cream cake since that's a more expensive item but instead I asked for a refund... but their kiosk system doesn't really want to be very helpful with refunds, either. The manager was really nice about it, but we ended up having to refund my original order and re-order a second time to be charged correctly because he wasn't able to simply refund the missing item on his end. They do have a register, but they only have a single register now, with several kiosks. Parking is plentiful. read more

The roasted tomato basil soup was fine. It was still hot (enough) when I got to my desk and the flavor was good. The sandwich had a very skimpy portion of tuna. When we are in the area, we will stop by and pick up some sweets here. It's a great location with lots of parking since it's in the Village Crossing shopping center. It's big with lots of seating both indoor and outdoor. In warm weather it's really nice to sit outside at one of their patio tables. My only complaint is that if you get there in the afternoon, the selection of pastries is usually very small. read more

The service is always stellar with servers tending to your every need and attendants always available to take your order. 05/08/22 - Mothers Day. We got here @ 10:05 & didn't get to place our order until 10:20. We sat down and waited. My bacon panini sandwich came out @ 11:02 and it was Luke warm like it had been sitting for awhile. We informed the server who was working his butt off (the only server for the whole restaurant). He had to go back & get my wife's food. Gross case of understaffing for a day that is traditionally one of the busiest days, taking Mom out on her day. I have been here and have never experienced this lack of service. Definitely under staffed. It took almost 1hr from the time we walked in and the food was served. Kudos to the server that was running all over the restaurant delivering food (5 stars) to those that ate in. My bacon cheddar panini is usually excellent but it was not even hot indicating that it had been sitting for awhile. My wife bacon wrap was very good served hot. Something to keep in mind. The ambiance and the service was good. The food came fairly fast and it was tasty. Before leaving. I wanted to get a croissant to pair it with my coffee. However, when I went to the cash register, I noticed a toast packages on the side of the line and he caught my attention so I asked the woman what was that. She explained it was a semi sweet toast with cranberries. I bought just one slice just to try it in at the end of my meal. I had to buy an entire bag of it because they are absolutely delicious. I love Corner Bakery; the food is always consistent. This location has TERRIBLE service. On a previous visit, I ordered my food with an extra side of mayo; when the associate (younger boy) came out with my meal, he had a side of a different sauce, so I kindly asked him to bring me mayo instead. He was very dismissive towards me. Yesterday, I walked in to place an order and was greeted with a heavy eye roll from the same associate (younger boy) behind the counter. Him and a younger girl stood behind the counter with their backs to me, chatting and laughing, leaving me standing waiting to place my order. Another gentleman came into the store for an online pickup; they spoke to him and gave him his order but ignored me until I left the store in disbelief. They are much more generous with their offers than Panera! I read some of the negative reviews and I can honestly say that we have never had a problem. Whether it's the Anaheim Scrambler or a breakfast sandwich or their oatmeal, there are a lot of options for breakfast. All entrees or sandwiches come with your choice of breakfast potatoes or fruit. It's pumpkin season, and my daughter loves their pumpkin spice pancakes! They have good pastries, as well...from croissants to their rich cinnamon creme coffee cake, or chocolate cake or their sinful brownie cheesecake, ETC!! For lunch or dinner we often do their You Choose Two, where you can get a soup and 1/2 a salad or 1/2 a sandwich or entree, or any combination of 2. So many options. They always have several good soups and my daughter loves their pesto cavatappi pasta. There's definitely something for everyone. While the menu is of course the same and service is similar to the Old Orchard location, parking here is much easier. I like how you have to work to get to this quiet corner of Village Crossing, but once here, you'll notice plenty of parking and a peaceful area unlike - the parking area in front of Chuckie Cheese. Plenty of seating and they'll walk your order over to you which is a nice touch. I like the Anaheim Scrambler for breakfast and their assortment of pastries and cakes for dessert. i really enjoy their lemon bars which are unmatched when I think about it. Grabbed a late lunch here and I was quite happy with the food and service all around. Came in around 2pm and went for their prime rib and cheddar on focaccia, which is probably their expensive sandwich on their menu. The sandwich was legit. The prime rib was plenty and the vegetable toppings were fresh. The focaccia bread was new for me and it went well with the prime rib and cheddar. It is quite a big sandwich, so for the price it's worth it. The sandwich comes with a side of your choice and I went with a Caesar salad. They give a good amount of salad as well, and it tasted great and freshly made. The one thing I love about Corner Bakery is that if you are calorie counting like me, every food item has a calorie count on their menu. Very useful if it makes an impact on your decision. Only one star because I can't leave zero. I've had problems here in the past with the service but today is about the food. Haven't been here in awhile but wanted some pancakes. I remember the pancakes were big and fluffy and very tasty. Not anymore. Pancakes are much smaller now and just don't taste good. It also came with chips and a pickle spear. It was absolutely delicious! The spinach, basil, and tomato on the sandwich were so fresh! I was shocked that I had a bright red and ripe tomato on my sandwich. The soup was hot and really good. I was so full after the soup and sandwich that I couldn't even eat my chips.
