Stopped in tonight for dinner after my fiance kept bringing it up since before they opened, Upon walking in it felt a lot like your local Panera bread.... Take that how you will. It's not a bad thing but it seemed familiar which isn't bad, Then 2 steps later i didn't understand where i was supposed to go also alot like Panera. then i realized the to order line is on the left side (Free tip). I looked at the paper menu and got confused, much like Panera yet again. I saw they offer a "combo" of a half sandwich and half pasta. So i decided to have the Mac & Cheese, the sandwich i wasn't sure at first i was set on some sort of turkey, by the time i got to order i froze and looked at the menu and said the first thing that looked good, "Spicy Asian Pulled PorK" Sounds good lets do that and Mac n Cheese. My Fiance got some Panini with turkey and Tomatoes, Those two and 2 drinks were $22 Whjich was a bit of a surprise... since they didn't list the prices anywhere. We went and sat down, Few minutes later food showed up. It was a bit undersized to be completely truthful. The Mac n Cheese was decent, but not the best i've had, actually i think i might skip the mac n cheese on my next visit. The Spicy Asian pulled pork was actually pretty good, Especially since i don't typically like jalapeno's, or coleslaw, or cucumbers, but somehow it all worked together very well. It reminded me alot like "Aporkalypse" at the Picnic Basket (which is much better btw) but it was not to bad. Overall, if i'm going to a place to spend $20-$25 on two people this won't be near the top of my list. Though if you like to spend a little more on a sandwich/soup/pasta, Or you like to be seen at the new hip place, or a place that makes you feel important i'm sure you'll like this place. read more

I ordered an entree portion chopped salad with no blue cheese and sub avo ranch online for pickup. Once I picked it up and took it home i saw that there was blue cheese on there, was made with spring green mix instead of Romain, and had Turkey sandwich meat instead of chicken. I tried my best to pick off the blue cheese and eat it but I couldn't stand the taste so I called and they offered to remake it for me. When they handed me my remake it was a half portion instead of my entree portion so they had to remake my salad, again. Their 3rd attempt was made properly, but the chicken was unflavorful and the avocado was over ripe. I looked at the menu again and it seems like they initially gave me a Cobb salad instead of a chopped salad although the sticker on the bag had my proper order on it. Over all I'm very disappointed but I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 since they eventually got my order right. I was expecting better from a place that charges $12 for a simple salad. read more

Service was surprisingly quick for how busy they were. Some items are a little pricy, but you are getting very tasty and high quality food. In my person opinion, I would compare this to Panera, but better. It is probably worth a look at the menu online before you go in because there is a lot to choose from when there is a line of hungry people behind you. Update 1/10/2015 We went back for a second time and they were much busier. I deducted a star because during peak business, I realized how horribly this restaurant was designed. A woman with a stroller had to fight her way out because seating is so tight, they only have one of the double doors to enter unlocked, and the line and area for ordering is a total cluster. The food still tasted pretty good, but the presentation was pretty poor. My sandwich was a mess with half of the ingredients falling off and my cup of soup wasn't even full. read more

My family and I came here for a quick breakfast and just to pass the time while stores opened nearby. It was a Sunday around 10:30am. The food tasted okay, but it tasted precooked and just heated up. The eggs tasted fake and out of a bag. The chocolate milk and Truffle Hot Chocolate tasted the same but one was just heated up. The service was not good. The waiters seemed like they had no training and were just standing in the kitchen waiting for directions. A different waiter came to our table every time they brought something to us. We got our drinks all at different times and they forgot to give us straws every time. The waiters just seemed like they didn't care. They didn't ask if we needed anything else and immediately walked away after setting something down. Overall, I give this restaurant a 2 star rating. Stopped in last saturday around noon, first time visiting this chain. I was looking for something lower carb, so i went with the Anaheim Scrambler. At this point in the day, they could serve my breakfast item, but longer had the potatoes that come on the side in the morning. No problem with that! Fruit was substituted and the eggs were so filling i wasn't tempted to try the toast. It was odd, though, the the toast came dry with no butter/jelly on the side. Tomatoes, cheese, lots of bacon, green onion, and avocado were scrambled in with the eggs. The service was very friendly despite how busy they were. The place was packed and the floor plan is laid out weirdly and kind of cramped. As other reviewers have said, think slightly nicer panera. I avoid chain restaurants, but it was good enough that I'd consider stopping in again the next time I'm starving and don't have time to drive to a locally owned business. read more

I drop my daughter off at school and head to Corner Bakery. I was beyond excited when I learned they were opening one here since I had to travel to Chicago to get my fix. The breakfast panini is fantastic and if you're in the mood for something heavier, I recommend the pancakes. I was one of the first people to visit on opening day and was lucky enough to win free coffee for a year. Great staff but you can tell they are new so sometimes they are a little slow. read more

Considering the premium price you pay at Corner Bakery, I was not expecting to find a hair in my Cuban press sandwich and chicken tortilla soup that tasted slightly off, not to mention so hot that it bruised and blistered my tongue. Friendly staff, nice vibe... and that is where it ends. I ordered the California Grille Panini, it sounded quite reasonable and I was eager to receive it. I take the first bite off of my messy looking plate and the zucchini inside is a boiling hot mess. Alright, maybe operator error was involved. I continue eating and realize only one side has the trademark lines of a panini, more like grilled sandwich. As I take my next bite a nauseating object enters my mouth. NO THANK YOU. A black curly hair was in my "panini" and I was not happy about it. I will not be coming here again, as that experience is one you can just not forget about. Maybe you will have better luck, but overall the food was subpar and too elementary to have an excuse for it. read more

Ate at Corner Bakery Café on Sunday. Ordered 2 ham and cheese Panini sandwiches, soup and bakery. The sandwiches were horrible. Bad processed meat, greasy and the bacon was raw. I told the manager and showed her the bacon. She said she would return the money for the sandwiches. Later I checked the bill and saw she returned the money for the bakery instead of the sandwiches. Of course the bakery was a lot less. Should have checked the receipt but I trust people to do whats right (not at corner bakery). Soup was bad. We went over to whole foods, bought food and went home. Worst restaurant experience in many years and we eat out about 5 times a week. NOT RECOMMENDED for people who like food. read more

Serious design flaws. People are funneled into a chute to order. Since I had never been here I had to get close to read the menu. I told people to go ahead of me, but it caused a lot of congestion. There were 4 cashiers and I couldn't hear a thing. More bottleneck congestion at the soda machine. Sat outside because it was too cramped indoors. Although the large selection of high quality bakery items are reason enough to go to this store, we have had two great breakfasts here. My favorite is their stack of 4 apple-cranberry pancakes. The menu items that you purchase are delivered to your table by an eager to please staff person. And the moderatly priced portions are in generous amounts; presented in an eye-pleasing way. The gal they had delivering the food, was slow and clueless... She wandered around with the to go order before she even asked a co worker, who THEN called out the name...oh gosh look, it was one of 2 people waiting by the coffee... could they be waiting for food? I told her next time, she may want to ask one of the people waiting if they were who she was looking for. So I get home with my food to find out, I don't have the potatoes for my order. I needed something to eat. This is the only place to eat besides Pizza at the mayfair collection. Corner Bakery Cafe is just like a panera but I liked it. I had two grilled flats, chicken with caesar and a caramel frappe to drink. The caramel frappe was delicious. The food was filling and good. I didn't see anywhere to put plates so there were plates on the tables that still needed to be cleaned off. I suggest cleaning off tables more quickly. As for the menu, I liked my flat but I didn't see a whole lot that was that appealing. I like chicken and turkey type sandwiches but pretty basic ones. I also didn't see anything vegetarian. It would be cool if they served breakfast all day. I would eat here again. read more

I came in yesterday to order food and picked up some desserts. One of the managers, I think I overheard her name was Marie, was not very pleasant to one of the employees. She had a very sarcastic tone to her voice and talked down to the girl she was working with near drinks. The girl silently obeyed. I don't think it's right to treat workers in such a way. What was even more laughable was how quickly she turned on the high-pitched, happy-go-lucky persona with customers after being so rude to one of the employees. Food was good however. read more

I was at the Corner Bakery with my adult daughter yesterday afternoon. I was waiting outside the bathroom for her when I saw an employee walk through the kitchen door, drop a towel on the floor, and continue on further into the kitchen with the other things she was carrying. She returned to pick up the towel a few minutes later and proceeded to the front where customers order and began wiping the counter with the towel. In a very loud voice (and admittedly, kind of obnoxious) I called her out. As I continued to wait for my daughter, the manager approached me and told me to leave. I was amazed!! I thought he was coming over to apologize. I told him I was waiting for my cognitively disabled daughter who was in the restroom and couldn't leave until she was out. He repeated his command for me to leave two more times. I told him I would be leaving as soon as I could and would not be coming back. He said that was the idea behind kicking me out. He walked away and as I continued to wait for my daughter another customer approached me and asked if the manager had come over to apologize. When I told her what the manager's reaction was, she encouraged me to contact the corporate office. At that point, my daughter poked her head out of the door and indicated she needed some help. I briefly went into the bathroom, then resumed my place just outside the door to wait for her. The manager came over to me again and told me if I approached any more of his customers he would call the police. I told him that I had not ever approached any of his customers. I can only guess that the woman who had come over to talk to me had gone to him with her disgust over the way he had handled the situation. I got out of there as fast as I could. Poorly trained employees. Terrible management!! Apparently, I can't give this place zero stars reviewing with Yelp -- wish I could! read more

I have had 3 great experiences here and one bad experience here. I went in today during a very quiet time - around 3PM. There was one customer in front of me, and 2 people standing behind the counter. Only one of them was taking people's orders, the other one was just standing there doing nothing. I thought it was odd that this employee didn't offer to take my order as I stood there waiting for quite a bit for the customer in front of me to order. I ordered a mocha and a cookie to go. The cookie was excellent. The mocha, however, I waited for for 10+ minutes. There were multiple people behind the counter, none of which seemed to be doing anything productive. The woman who made my mocha was not very nice to me as she handed it to me. I thanked her and she just glared at me. The mocha tasted burnt, and it did not taste nearly as good as the mochas I have had there before. Am now a bit hesitant to return. read more
