Walking into the Khao Sen you'll feel like you've walked into a warm, intentional, and stylish restaurant. To be seated you'll first check in with the host and then be shown to your table. For drinks we ordered the mango passion fizz (mango, passion fruit, club soda) and the strawberry rose limeade (strawberry, rose, lime, club soda). Both looked nice presentation wise, but would definitely lean towards the mango passion fizz for the overall balance of flavors. For our appetizer we ordered a taste of all (vegetable gyoza, crispy krab sticks, crispy spring rolls, fried tofu, spicy chicken wings with side of each sweet chili sauce and sweet soy sauce) to be able to try most of the appetizers. Overall I would opt for the spicy chicken wings and pass on the other items. All of the appetizers were good but the spicy chicken wings were fried perfectly and had a great balance of spice/flavor. For entrees we ordered the Khao Soi (Northern Thai-style curry, egg noodles, crispy egg noodles, cilantro, scallion, pickled radish, shallots, lime) with chicken. The flavors were excellent and the chicken thigh was cooked to perfection. Almost if the chicken thigh was boiled or sous vide where it fell apart. We also ordered the Khao Pad (fried rice, egg, onion, Chinese broccoli, tomato, garlic, cucumber, cilantro, scallion) with sweet sausage which I wasn't sure if I would like but turned out to be excellent. The sweet sausage along with the flavors of the rice, broccoli, sweet onion, and egg made this dish one of my favorites. We were so full we couldn't make it to dessert but I heard the Thai Donuts with the Thai tea custard are excellent. If you are in the Fuquay-Varina area and are looking for good Thai food I definitely recommend stopping by Khao Sen. Looking forward to visiting again soon to try the other dishes.

1000/10 So Worth It! I drove 40 minutes out of my way just to see what the hype was about, and Corner Boys BBQ did not disappoint! I watched him carefully check off each item as he packed everything, making sure nothing was missed. Jack also helped carry the order to my car and load it. Another employee, who was already off the clock, stepped in to help as well. Their thoughtfulness made me feel truly taken care of. The restaurant was also clean and well maintained. Our teachers and staff loved the food! The pork, chicken, and delicious sides gave everyone a variety of options, and everything was hot and ready to serve perfect for our busy evening. When I asked about it, she got snippy and defensive. She called the owner over (or I assumed he was), who said it was a 10% extra charge because of the high prices that they are experiencing, including in propane. I asked why the cashier couldn't have informed me of the charge before I made the purchase, instead lying and saying it was a "tax." nor was it posted on the menu board or anywhere else. This upset the cashier who started huffing around and acting irrationally. The owner that gave me a chance to cancel the transaction, but I went ahead and ordered the food. There are a whole bunch of problems with this. First, they nowhere posted that there would be a 10% surcharge for fuel or for higher costs incurred by them, or any other reason. This is just stealing plain and simple and violates state law. Second, when I inquired about it, the cashier lied and said it was for "taxes." Third, when she brought the owner over, she started walking around throwing a fit because apparently I questioned her truthfulness. Whatever, the food was poor at any price. Coleslaw was completely tasteless. Pulled pork was dry and thin. Only thing decent was the barbecue sauce, but they gave you about a half of an ounce in a tiny container. Highly recommend you avoid this dishonest and poorly run food truck.
