    Chicken salad plate
    Jeff B.

A very nice surprise today finding this hidden gem inside a Shell gas station. I have seen it several times driving past on Six Forks, but today I needed some bbq. Large portions, lots of side dishes and extremely friendly and helpful service. We couldn't decide on dishes to go, but ordered the brisket with a side, chicken salad with a side and also the chopped bbq with side. Each came with Cole slaw and hush puppies. They also came with a drink. I really enjoyed each, but especially the chopped bbq. The smoke and seasoning was very prevalent and went well with the Cole slaw. The chicken salad is especially tasty as well. There's a couple of places to sit inside, but we decided to try a little of each at home. We'll be back as we still have other sides to try as well as the smoked chicken. Give it a try as you'll be glad you found this little gem.

This place is great! Who doesn't love bbq inside of a gas station. Ordered the bbq pork sandwich with slaw, side of mac and cheese. It also came with a couple pork rinds and hush puppies. My partner ordered the brisket plate which was a special with a side of cowboy beans. The pork sandwich was delicious, as well as the brisket. I thought the mac was just ok, but the baked beans were phenomenal. Definitely would return.

Good food, friendly service, and inside a gas station! Everything is yummy overall except I wouldn't recommend the banana pudding which was two thumbs down, super duper dry. Solid sauces and pulled pork. The chicken sandwich was pretty good too. Meat wasn't dry. We got the chicken sandwich and the pulled pork plate and the side of beans, mac and cheese, coleslaw, and the stew. They both came with hush puppies and a choice of drinks. They hyped up the broccoli salad but we opted to just save it for next time since there's no swapping sides and you'd just pay the full price of the side not the difference. Mac and cheese was yum, so were the hush puppies, def loved the coleslaw. Not gourmet but solid food and nice people. Would definitely return! Even our dog was licking the dirt on the ground next to the smoker outside hahaha

Passed by this place for years. Thought it was a food truck. They have a kitchen that is tucked away in the corner of a convenience store in a gas station. This place serves up some great eats. The pork BBQ was nicely seasoned. The tang from the vinegar is offset by a hint of sweetness. The beef brisket special was fantastic. The meat was well cooked but had a nice chew unlike some brisket that falls apart. Platter came with slaw, a side and a drink. The potato salad was creamy and crunchy with some peppers. There are only two tables inside plus outdoor tables.Jessica was in charge of the food. She was friendly and helpful. This is an off the path find.

This business is located inside of a gas station. They do have a drive through but it was closed the day that I visited. I placed my order at the counter & it didn't take long to get my food. I got the BBQ chicken with Mac & cheese, hush puppies & coleslaw. The mac, hush puppies, & the mustard dipping sauce for the hush puppies were good. Some of the chicken was moist while other parts were a little dry and over cooked around the edges.

I'm so glad Offline Raleigh made me aware of this (conspicuous) place off Six Forks. I didn't have any idea it was there, namely because it's inside a gas station. But don't let that dissuade you! I got the pork BBQ platter which came with a spoonful of coleslaw, two hush puppies and two sides. I went with the broccoli slaw, which was delicious, and banana pudding. Hands down, the best I've ever had! It tasted like they'd added a pinch of cinnamon which gave it a little kick of sweetness. They do run out of food so don't wait too late in the day, and also check their site for when they're open as they have odd operating hours. There are a few picnic tables you can sit at when it's a nice day.

I love BBQ but I cant eat pork. I know they have chicken but do they have beef brisket BBQ?

They do not have beef brisket, just the chicken options as far as non-pork goes.

Do they serve beer and wine!!?

    They don't! Just soft drinks!

Food: 4 Service: 3…read moreAmbiance: 3 Date/Time: 9/28/2025 12:30pm Crowd: full bar, 1/4 full dining room Order: Turkey BLT, Philly sandwich This place is located just behind the gas station on the corner of Lynn and Creedmoor in a little strip mall. The business used to be a food truck only and they moved into this location and used the relatively small place to turn into a sports bar, keeping the "kitchen" parked outside in the food truck since the suite is an end unit. If you're a big sports fan, this place is probably perfect for you. It is set up with the bar to the far left as you enter, with a divider in the middle and then the dining area on the right of the divider....and TVs everywhere you look with signs indicating which game of interest each is tuned to. And, like most sports bars, the noise is set to loud. From the dining area, you can exit out the side to the mostly covered outdoor dining area which is where the food truck is parked, and where you go to place your order (not give it to your server who only brings your drinks) and pay for it. Also where all your condiments and napkins are located. For those of you who are not sports fans, all is not lost as the food is pretty good. Granted it's sports bar oriented but it's really pretty tasty. The turkey BLT is between large slices of toasted and buttered bread with a slightly light serving of turkey. The Philly is on a small hoagie and has some kick to it with all the jalapeños. Standard sandwich orders come with chips but fries are available for an upcharge. Service is, well, again it's a basic sports bar so don't expect sit down restaurant service but the folks are mostly friendly. Bottom line is if you love to sit at a bar, or eat grill food, and watch your favorite team on tv with friends, this place should satisfy you. For those who just want some good grill food, order out or if it's a nice day, sit outside where it's not as noisy.

I know the economy's bad but I just ordered over $60 worth of food and drinks! I'm good over here! She stood there batting her extended eyelashes and told me there was nothing she could do and kept referring to the online price being correct even though their website shows different. The quickest way to lose my business is to fail to acknowledge a customer's concerns. Dismissive attitudes, and doubling down even with facts presented. I run a company and wouldn't come close to hiring the cashier who I presented this issue. No offer to me to speak to a Manager! Nothing! Just batting her eyelashes and smacking on chewing gum! To add injury to insult, I checked my food and I was missing the extra piece of fish that I paid for. Again, this "cashier' tried lying again by telling me that fish is sold by the pound and only AFTER I presented her with my receipt that she already had access to did she relent and that was ONLY because another lady who was much more customer friendly came from the kitchen to apologize to and confirm that she had neglected to add my other piece of catfish! Again, Ms "Cashier" casually walks off with no apology acknowledgement or anything. Note-this was the SECOND they did this as they 'forgot' to add my extra piece of fish on my order. Mind you the extra fish is $10.75 for CATFISH!!! Seems like a pattern for this business! Bag up the order. Tie it up tightly and hope the customer doesn't check until they're home and by then it's too late to try to return and if you call to report food missing, I'm certain "Ms. Cashier", will just deny and lie, indicating that all the food was in the bag when she's not even the one cooking or bagging it up! Just the money taker! BUYER BEWARE! Needless to say, I got my food and left immediately and sitting in my car fuming writing this feedback! NEVER AGAIN FATBOYS!!!!! I tried! Next, a Cuban sandwich. The same pork roast, this time with as slice of ham, Swiss cheese and sliced pickles, slathered with mustard on pressed mallorca bread. A great rendition of a Tampa-style Cuban but missing that Cuban bread. Also tried a trio of empanadas. The beef is a hearty mix of chunky beef, well spiced, juicy and tender. The chicken is chunks of white meat, with slivers of carrots and other vegetables. A little more bland than the beef, but still flavorful, moist and tender. Each was ensconsed in a traditional half moon pastry and fried deep, golden brown. Not at all greasy, these were crunchy, savory and delicious. Honorable mention to the s'mores empanada.
