I love this place! It is honestly my second home they treat me so great! I love to get my nails done here! Also love it because it's so close to home! The vibe is relaxing and the customer service is amazing!

I went to this nail salon for a while and may be back if I don't have my daughter with me. They generally do a nice job on their gel pedicures. They have a nice menu of variations of offerings for the treatment/experience ranging from bare bones to the deluxe menu. I don't have a set nail tech and they all do a nice job. The reason for 1 less star is that they literally roast you for picking colors they don't personally like and try to convince you not to get them LOL On a more serious note, and the reason I decided to take a break from coming here is that they pushed and pushed and pushed to do gel on my 8 year old's nails. I said several times that she's too young and I don't want her to have it. After so much pushback, they ended up doing it anyway on two fingers of each hand where she had designs done, and told me after they did it that it was easier to do the designs that way. I made it more than clear that I did not want this for the safety of my child's nails. I felt that was pretty disrespectful.

I go here regularly, and I love the little family vibe of this place. The staff is nice and they always do a great job.

I made an appointment at this place because my regular place wasn't available. My appointment was set for 5 PM. They sat me down in a pedicure chair for 45 minutes before they started any service on me. The pedicure was great. The manicure was not great. The technician cut 2 of my cuticles and laughed about it. My thumb nail is filed crooked. The tech doing my hands was unsteady. I would have much rather been moved to one of the tables for the manicure. Don't think I'll be back to this place.

I just left Corner Joy. First impressions? Very clean, peaceful, and friendly environment. Lihn did my pedicure. I've never had someone more thorough do my nails. She carefully cut the cuticle at every step, went above and beyond, and was so friendly. Everyone there was nice! The owner really takes his time to get to know everyone. The nice lady sitting next to me had very specific requests and she herself said she "was a pain", but they handled her with care and respect and she felt heard. I know that this is how every establishment should handle business, but unfortunately, we don't get that treatment so often. I'm going to return and request Lihn, but I saw that the other ladies were also doing a great job!

Just had the most relaxing time at Corner Joy. Had Helen on my mani and Linda (could be wrong about her name) on my pedi. Both ladies were such a joy (no pun intended). We just chatted it up the whole time! Helen has impressively good English, and Linda was just super nice the whole time. Happy with the 5 minute massage at the end, and happy with the way my nails came out :)

Very happy to have found this salon. They're very sweet, the chairs and bowls are nice and clean, and they have an amazing array of colors. I've been 5 times and have had different techs and each one has been a great experience.

I do not like to leave negative reviews. I really want to be able to say I had a good experience. The two staff who did my hands and feet were nice enough. They didn't try to upsell me - which is a big pet peeve for me. I can't, however, recommend using them. While my pedicure turned out fine, the manicure is terrible. I asked for a pink and white gel manicure. I blame myself for not scrutinizing my nails more closely while I was in the salon. Everything looked fine when I left. Later, I happened to look down at my hand and could see that the sides were a mess. Almost every nail is not properly finished. You can see from the pictures how poorly they were done. I only added a couple of pictures and each is a different finger, but they are all the same. I find it hard to believe that a professional would be proud of this work and allow their client to leave the salon like this. It's too bad because I would likely have returned otherwise.

I really wanted to like this place and for the most part, I did. I had Helen and she was so friendly! She painted a little too far down from the cuticle for my liking and I definitely waited too long to tell her, but instead of just painting a little more to the cuticle and leaving some space, she painted all the way to the skin. Maybe I miscommunicated, but now my 34 dollar manicure looks pretty awful. I might give this place another try because they were all so friendly and welcoming.

Just came in for the first time last week and I couldn't be happier. Got a full set of tips, chrome on black, and they look magnificent. Prolly the best acrylics I've ever gotten to be honest, and they really took their time to make sure they were all even and stuff. Super great customer service, staff very friendly, offering snacks and bottled water. I will for sure be coming back. read more

Nice and cozy nail salon. Cindy does a great job with eyebrow waxing and pedicure. Ask for her and you will be happy! The girls are very friendly. They offer coffee, tea and snacks to keep you relaxed. Prices are very competitive. Parking can be a challenge but there is street parking. The area appears to be safe. Bring a friend along and have a relaxing day at this nail place! Not too far from Cal State Long Beach. read more

All I can say is the BEST ever! I have bee getting my nails done for years and Christine, the owner, does an AMAZING job on my nails. I also have gone to Natalie. Helen does my pedicures and she is GREAT too. I am fortunate I work right next store at Little John's Hairstying Salon so I don't have far to go! I watched this shop take place from the bottom up and it turned out so nice! I could hardly wait to try them out and I have been so pleased and everyone is AMAZING and nice! They make everyone who goes into the Salon feel welcome! As a matter of fact I told Christine today they are going to need to expand if they keep growing as fast as they are already ! So I moved down to OC (Costa Mesa to be exact) from SF a few months ago. I knew it was going to be hard to find technicians that could measure up to my girls in the bay but finally after months and months of heinous manicure after heinous manicure I stumbled upon this ABSOLUTE GEM of a salon. I'm very particular when it comes to the shape of my nails but Christine and Natalie knock my coffin shaped nails out of the park every time. They don't BS you, they don't rush you, they truly know their craft and they keep up to date on the most current nail trends. Coming here is worth the drive from Costa Mesa bc they take the time to make sure I'm happy with what I have and lord knows thats a rare thing when it comes to nail salons. I love this place. End of story!!! read more

I think i found my pedicure spot! Reasonable prices and most importantly very sanitary! The tubs are lined with plastic, the nail files are yours when they're done, and the tools come out of a blue plastic. The place is very small and lovely. It seems like the kind of place that will get crazy busy once everyone discovers it, so I'll plan on making appointments. Lauren worked on my nails and i think she did a great job. Found this little gem when the hubs and I wanted to get a mani/pedi on the fly one day. We go more for the relaxation than the nail polish. Seriously so glad I stumbled upon this place!! Extremely friendly and professional staff, always recommend cute designs but they aren't too pushy. I got my eyebrows waxed for my first time today and I was super nervous but Natalie made it so easy, painless and smooth. They also have monthly specials. Today was my first time. I got a pedicure. My manicurist was Wendy. She has the magic touch, very relaxing. I actually fell asleep and that's a first for me. I am usually very tense during nail services. Everyone in the salon is nice and attentive. They ask you what you want, instead of trying to force services on you. I will be back. Went for the first time to get a pedicure and manicure. HORRIBLE. The woman doing the pedicure cut my toe on the side not ones but twice on the same spot. The woman who was doing my manicure at the same time cut my finger! Horrible place, it is clean and nice but they NEED new staff. At the end I got a $4 discount, and I was still asked if the tip would be cash or if I was going to add it on my card. read more

I came with two friends on a Wednesday afternoon and we all got great service. Christine is very nice and did great gel nails on my friends and I. It was $25 for a gel manicure, and only $15 for my friend's gel color change. They were very accommodating and offered snacks and water while we were there. The salon is very new and extremely clean. It's also right next to Cal State Long Beach so perfect for college students! Definitely recommend and I will be coming back! read more

I definitely recommend Corner Joy Nails! This is the closest nail salon to my house so I knew I had to try it once it opened and it didn't disappoint! such great customer service ! i walked in and was immediately greeted. they took my temp & then i signed in. one lady started on my nails but then stopped for other customers who had appointments which is okay. but it took a lot of waiting & several employees switching back n forth just to take care of me. i think it was also way to pricey, i was charged $60 for new set, regular powder & $20 extra for a design. my nails came out cute but it took way too long & too many employees switching around. read more

A true Hidden Gem! This was my 2nd visit. Every one is so nice and salon is very clean... that why I took my daughter to get her first pedicure. I trust this salon!! They use sterilized tools and a New file and buffing sponge for every customer. Natalie had a gentle hand as she was doing my pedicure. I will gladly travel the 25mins to get there. In 2001, I was start a career in Nail on all weekends, and particularly interested in this field because of high demand, flexible working hours, and outstanding income potential. With the work experiences I had been worked for other nail salons, and see how nail salons were run. Now, I feel comfortable in the nail trade and can start looking into opening my own business. We invite you and friends to join us, in our brand new Corner Joy Nails & Spa. Grand Opening is on September 28, 2017. I am currently as a full-time Associate Civil Engineer since 2008. In 2001, I was start a career in Nail on all weekends, and particularly interested in this field because of high demand, flexible working hours, and outstanding income potential. With the work experiences I had been worked for other nail salons, and see how nail salons were run. Now I feel comfortable in the nail trade and can start looking into opening my own business. As a brand new business, my primary focus is to help clients stay clean and safe while giving spa manicures and pedicures. My goal is to provide creativity as well as professional services to our clients. My custom furniture and custom pedicure chairs are able to satisfy each time you're visited. Goal, when the door opens for business, stand proud and persevere. Owning own business is tough, and I may not succeed, but I stand a chance if I work hard and make my customers happy. Mindy incorporated her massage therapy background into the facial by treating me to a scalp massage and neck stretch - one of my favorite parts!! My skin was absolutely radiant after an hour with Mindy (before & after attached). For the massage portion: My hour with Lovely went by far too quickly!! Come from an athletic background, it's hard for me to find a massage therapist that truly targets muscle movement and applies enough pressure to work through my knots. Lovely did just that. The location is so super convenient by CSULB campus, which is a major plus for us students! Not only is the location amazing, but the service, prices, nail techs, and atmosphere is all AWESOME. The business constantly is offering monthly deals, and a student discount if there is not a current deal. Which, when it comes to nails and beauty services, we know a good deal can be super helpful! They have my business, and I don't even get my nails done all that often, but now that Natalie got me hooked, I definitely will make it a point to go back.
