Recently found on a return trip from a funeral on Fort Huachuca, Sonoita was a mid point for a meal coming back home. On a Monday many eateries are closed, so the Corner Scoop was welcoming. YUM!!! We ordered a BBQ with coleslaw with drinks----fantastic service, good price and the food is delicious!! My sandwich was so large, I had to take the rest with me for another meal. I will definitely remember the Corner Scoop and come back again even when other choices may be open. Worth the trip!!!! It was a hot day and we enjoyed an ice cream to cool down. I had the salted caramel brownie in a waffle cone. My husband had a scoop of chocolate in a cup. There are a good variety of flavors available. They also serve food, but all we had was ice cream. I ordered a grilled cheese ($8.50). To me, there are two requirements for an acceptable grilled cheese. First of all, IT SHOULD CONTAIN CHEESE. Secondly, THE CHEESE SHOULD BE MELTED. My "grilled cheese" contained two Kraft cheese singles. According to the FDA, Kraft cheese singles are NOT cheese. And of course, the cheese was not melted. I just went back to Corner Scoop to explain my order was wrong and they told me my firend ordered a back egg potato cheese burrito. I ordered eg potato and cheese only (I am Jewish) I took a bite of my burrito only to spit it out because it had been in it. When I went back to explain and ask for a refund they refused and said my fried ordered it. She said she didn't? Poor customer experience on my 1st visit. I won't go back. They offered to make a new burrito but on the same equipment they fry the bacon on? Uh No. I'm sure those who live bacon are good with it, but I am not and it's against my beliefs. That is what hurt, the fact they wouldn't refund my $6. I forgave the bacon issue but they could have don't the right thing. Offering to make another burrito on a bacon griddle does not help - sorry very inconsiderate of other peoples needs. Sorry I had to write this review. read more

What a wonderful surprise. We were out and about from Tubac--heard about this place. The owner, Dena, was warm and cordial.. great possibilities like zucchini soup and burritos-- but heard they had the best hot dogs ever. Ok, they Do! I am a dog "fan" have sampled them all over. This was amazing. A huge, Nathan's hot dog, toasted bun and optional relishes and onions including one with jalapeño bits. Back again for sure to sample more. This place is great half of the time, the food is usually really good and so is the ice cream, but the other half of the time they either don't have what we want to order, are out of what we want to order, or they mess up the order and change their hours without notice on random days. Prices are fair and customer service is always friendly but always super short staffed. read more

Was there. The food and ice-cream was quite good but the staff was terrible. There was a girl with a nose ring and half dyed hair who was very disrespectful, rolled her eyes at me, and even refused to let us use the coffee creamer. If I could I leave a 0 star I would but I had a worst experience here. My kid and I would come here after school but their new staff is just terrible and NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL! I was trying to get ice cream and this girl with glasses and her friend with glasses were being loud , mean, ignore, and giving free things to her friend. And it was messing coffee everywhere not clean and was run so much better before . My son also asking for ice cream with sprinkles and when the worker didn't I asked again and she rolled her eye and practically slap it on the table .
