We stopped here for our last meal prior to leaving the Sonoita area. First the positives the staff was friendly food prepared properly, and everything was delicious. I ordered a grilled cheese. My wife got a grilled ham and cheese. Both were superb. The only reason for not giving five stars was what I felt was an exorbitant price. Eight bucks for grilled cheese. and round nine bucks for grill, grilled ham and cheese. I didn't like that there wasn't really indoor seating. The outdoor seating was OK, but there was writing all over the walls which apparently is something folks like to do there with chalk. Nice little ice cream and food location in Sonoita. The main draw is the various ice cream options. There are limited seating inside and outside. But don't forget they have food options, because that is something you may overlook when selecting options in Sonoita and shops close early but this one seemed to have more hours. It's a small town ice cream shop which has basic well known ice cream flavors vs specialty or gourmet flavors. We opted for the oatmeal cream pie scoop which was tasty and hit the spot. The employee was very nice and I would recommend stopping here for those who have a sweet tooth. There were so many other dessert options that looked great as well (I wanted to try them all) :). The food is awesome, what I have tried. My favorite is the Philly Cheesesteak w/o peppers. I've had probably minimum 7 in few weeks! I also have tried their banana split, twice!! They have several flavors ice cream; I just stick with good old vanilla. Inside is small and sometimes tight but they have an outdoor patio if one chooses. I love the country feel. This quaint little store has to be the best place to grab a quick bite and an ice cream cone in Sonoita. I came here for lunch and ordered a grilled ham n cheese and a roast beef on a hoagie. Although the sandwiches were good they were a bit pricey but I guess that's everything nowadays. I'm writing this review because of the great customer service I received from the lady making the sandwiches. I bought a fountain soda in which my dogs who were waiting in the car had busted the styrofoam cup and soda was everywhere in my vehicle. I came back in the store to buy another soda and while the young girl rang me up the older lady (owner/supervisor?) had said just give it to her free because "it wasn't her fault". She even gave my "misbehaved" dogs a "pup cup" each. I guess customer service hasn't died yet after all. I have had one of their breakfast burritos here in the past and they are delish especially the one with green chiles. Coffee was good. The picture online showed indoor seating, but it really only had a few bench seats at the counter. So there was no good place to just sit and enjoy conversation with a friend. They also didn't have restrooms for the customers. There was outdoor seating on concrete benches, but that's not comfortable for a leisure coffee chat. A simple thing done very well is anything but ordinary. This describes the grilled ham and cheese sandwich that I had; it was comfort food perfection on a day when I was needed that comfort. The latte was also very good. I used to enjoy stopping for a sandwich and / or a root beer float, especially on a hot day, but lately I've been disappointed. Dena and her daughter would load up the ice cream in the float which made a fabulous float but the last two times I've visited I get a large glass of root beer with a small single scoop of ice cream. To top it off, they've increased the price from $4.50 to $7.50! A waffle cone and 2 scoops of ice cream cost $6.10 but I can't get two scoops in the float. Ridiculous! Stopped just to check out what was in the area. Found this little treasure at the ice cream shop nothing showing from the outside. Walking everybody's having a crazy good breakfast. We got the biggest burrito granite was seven bucks but it fed to people. Full of bacon egg hash browns cheese green chili and to top it off they had salsa. We didn't try it but they had biscuits and gravy we saw some other folks eating eggs and hashbrowns so not just an ice cream shop but they did have bluebell ice cream I'll have to come back and try highly recommend little hidden gem when you need to grab a quick bite and of course dessert.
