Found this place while driving through the area. Definitely glad that we stopped. We got the bbq chicken wings and the bbq pork quesadilla. The food was good portions and tasted amazing. Very good drink selection as well. Our server Aaliyah was amazing. She had the nicest personality and would definitely bring us back here the next time in town. Arrived to have lunch at the bar with my sister around 12PM on Tuesday. Asked the bartender about taco specials mentioned on the website and was told no one told him about specials. So, I guess no Taco Tuesday. My sister ordered a skinny spicy margarita, and I ordered a local IPA. The margarita was a little heavy on the mix, and my beer was tasty but not chilled enough. We placed our orders for food after about 10 or 15 minutes, because the bartender was a bit busy and didn't come back over. We didn't mind, because we were watching tennis. My sister ordered sweet potato fries to go, and I ordered a build your own burger. I customized my burger to have: chickpea patty, sautéed onions, bacon, avocado and Swiss cheese. We waited at least another 30 minutes, and nothing came. My sister asked for her check close to 1PM. At that point he brought out her food, which he stated he "stole" from the kitchen. So after waiting at least 30 minutes, her to-go order actually had not been prepared. At that point he mentioned to me that the kitchen informed him they didn't have any chickpea patties prepped and were making it fresh. My sister had to leave, and I continued to wait. At 1:10PM I decided I would cancel the order whenever the bartender showed back up, and he happened to walk around the corner with my food. I immediately requested a box and the bill. I received the ticket and was charged 1.00 per honey mustard which was never mentioned. I paid my bill, packed up my food, finished my beer and left. I got into my car, looked closely at the food and realized the bacon I paid 3.00 extra for was missing. I was over the entire experience, and decided I wasn't going back inside to wait longer for bacon. Disappointing experience overall. read more

We sat outside and they had a pretty big covered patio available, along with an area for playing cornhole. Despite having a lot of people in our party our server was on top of it and took care of everyone's needs and requests quickly. We were also able to check out separately which was nice for when we left at different times. The roasted brussel sprouts here are a fan favorite. The pimento Mac N Cheese was overhyped and super greasy. They have a lot of beer types available including sours and ciders which I appreciated. The parking situation is awful. There's not nearly enough available behind the restaurant and you may be forced to find some elsewhere down the road. read more

Went in for the 1st time and the only good thing about this place was the pool tables and the karaoke. The waitress added an extra $20 to my ticket AFTER I signed the receipt (according to my bank transaction). I'll definitely be filing a dispute because I have my receipt as evidence. It is with a very sad heart that I have to update this review in a not so good way. I stopped in after 10:00 on a Friday night in June. I sat at the bar per usual. I ordered a couple of drinks. The bar tender was pleasant but looked like he was over worked or the air wasn't working. He was a hot, sweaty mess. I ordered chips & salsa/queso to snack on. Was looking for a spot to eat after a flight and waiting for traffic to die down. The ambiance is causal typical tavern vibe. Thursday evening the vibe was relaxed. The private parking lot was nice. They have a large covered patio and cornhole area. My major turn off is the staff were gathered and crowding at the outside at the bar. Kind of a turn off for patrons. One of them actually had a dog that barked. The food was pretty good. They didn't have 2 items/toppings I asked for (no mushrooms which were on the menu and no French dressing). The turkey burger was seasoned well and the salad was typical. I was surprised it took almost 30 mins to receive the food but it was good. My waitress was phenomenal, I hate I don't remember her name but she was attentive without being annoying and not dry lol. I ordered the arugula salad and added romaine lettuce and m blackened shrimp on top for my protein and I really enjoyed it. Very flavorful and not half bad for a tavern. Our service was fairly quick for our party of 4 and I don't feel like we went without much during our visit. One of the ladies in my party did have to ask for hot fries with her meal and waited some time for them to be brought out. Additionally, we did have to ask for cleaner glasses because ours had lip stains on them from previous use. My Caesar salad was decent. The blackened chicken was dry but seasoned well, so overall tasty. The fries were cooked really well, so I enjoyed those. Our server was in and out even thought it wasn't very busy. We did have to ask another server for items. It's a nice ambiance, better as a sports bar or to hang out. There is cornhole and other games outside & they have outdoor seating which will be nice in the spring/summer. I've been before and had really good drinks here. Ate here for a work event. It was about 25 of us so they sat us in the back in the pool table room. The food was decent, I tried the buffalo shrimp, the chips and cheese dip, fried pickles, wings and Thai shrimp noodles. Everything was decent, I really liked the wings as they are smoked and then fried. Took 2 stars bc there was a wet mildew smell that kept hitting my nose that was off putting. One of my coworkers ordered the salmon sandwich medium well and it came out rare. The waiter stated that since she cut it in half he can't put it back on the grill and they were out of salmon so she'd need to order something else. The atmosphere and the service are fine, and the food quality before this last visit has been fine, but this last visit, today on 08/09/2026, was terrible! The chips and cheese and salsa. The chips were covered in grease. Looks like the grease hasn't been changed in weeks, if not months. I sent it back and they came out exactly the same. CHANGE THE GREASE! Then the cheese steak I ordered was worse. The steak was mushy, almost like it wasn't cooked all the way and it was almost as if they scooped up every drop of grease and put it on the bread. The bread was very soggy. It was almost like a cheesesteak soup. It was terrible. Need to work on the kitchen and consistency in your food. read more

When you are a restaurant known for certain foods and you are out of 90% of your menu items, I question why you are even still operating. I just wanted a burger and all 3 visits you are out of beef. I switched to fish and chips which you actually had in stock. Once my meal arrives it is NOT beer battered as it was when I ordered 2 years ago. It is a flat long piece of fish that is obviously pre battered and previously frozen. Your poor hostesses took the brunt of our complaints as you were out of so many menu items that we asked what DO you have. I will not return a 4th time for this nonsense. Ok!! Visiting a friend in Hapeville and we decided to get trashed and have fun at the Corner Tavern. We took an uber and arrived with the place nearly half full. After standing in the entrance like a couple of dipshits for a few minutes we sat ourselves. Eventually a waitress came over and we asked for a couple shots of rumplemintz. She left and eventually returned with the news that they did not carry rumplemintz. We were beginning to notice some subjective attitude. Now the party was reduced to a couple of cokes and two shots of cheap whiskey served up with chicken quesadillas and the worst nachos this side of the possum kingdom. God, I really want to places in my community. I've tried over and over again to go here because the food is usually good. Not this visit!!! First the tater tots tasted like tortilla chips. I'm guessing they are using the same oil to cook fried food and tortilla chips. You would think a restaurant would cook the chips first thing in the morning or last thing at night. Secondly, they are using the blackened chicken as a substitute for the regular grilled chicken sandwich. If I wanted the blackened chicken sandwich I would have ordered that meal. read more

In the surrounding areas of zip code 30315 , it's is extremely difficult to find a decent place to eat if you aren't looking for the same old mundane fast food. Such as , Popeyes, Chick Fil-A and McDonald's , to name a few. I spent 1 hour looking for something since I was in the area visiting friends . Finally , I stumbled upon Corner Tavern - Hapeville . I'll be honest , not only did the place have a reasonable amount of good reviews , the building didn't look so bad either . As I parked in the rear parking lot, it didn't look sketchy. There's a decent amount of parking, but if there was ever a big event I don't know where patrons would park. It wasn't that much for a huge crowd in my opinion. When I approached the building I passed a court yard with seating. There were a few bean bag toss games in the courtyard as well . I had to passed through an open covered patio with fans and high top tables . It looked nice for anyone who'd love dining outside. The place was dark and cozy . From as far as I could see ; it appeared to be clean . The ladies at the bar were friendly. I was greeted with smiles and a willingness to help me . I ordered a Jive Turkey Burger for myself and salmon on a arugula salad, with tomatoes , red bell pepper, and a little corn to take over to a friends house . The wait was about 15 minutes. I was offered a cup of ice water, in a clear to - go cup with a straw . It came in handy since I was out of water in my cooler , that I usually keep in the trunk of my car . At this point the only thing I didn't like about my experience was the 20% gratuity automatically added for take out orders . As I proceeded to pay for my food , on the screen it asked for another tip . Thankfully it was something I could opt out on . You're probably thinking I don't want to leave tips . If so, you're wrong. I have an issue with mandatory tips . Especially if I've never been there before, haven't tried the food and who am I tipping ? Am I paying a tip for someone to do their job in the kitchen? To only be asked again to tip for paying for my own food. I didn't understand the logic behind it . I leave tips anyway , for good service , but that should be under my discretion not forced . It doesn't seem sincere . What if the food isn't what I expected? I digress ! When I arrived to my destination, I noticed the food looked tasty . The presentation met my expectations. It smelled good. My turkey burger was delicious. It came with avocado, sriracha ranch and mozzarella cheese. That sounds simple , but it was delicious! I'm not a huge meat eater , but the turkey was so good. I don't have words for it . It's house made and I love the shape of the meat as well . Looked like mama made it . The fries were the old school fries with a little skin left on them. The technical name is potato periderm . (Hahaha .. the nerd in me ) Everything was seasoned to perfection. Not one thing was salted heavily or running in grease . This includes the salmon meal . Yummy ! Later , I checked out the website and it clearly stated there will be a 20% gratuity. I was out driving around looking for a good meal . Therefore , I didn't know this , but at least the website prompts awareness. It would have changed my mind had I not been out side to see the building and the over all look of the place . This plays a major role for me. Thank goodness it looked nice. Therefore, I took my chances . Appearance counts for sure . Despite knowing about the mandatory to - go gratuity I'd eat here again . Our group came into the Hapeville Corner Tavern on Saturday evening, 3/14. Our group of special needs students who were attending Prom had a very disappointing experience at Hapeville Corner Tavern. Our group went there for dinner before Prom and made a reservation ahead of time, but the entire dinning experience was extremely slow and disorganized. It took about 20 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order, and we had to flag staff down just to get attention. At one point we even ended up serving our own water because no one came by our table for a long time. We had to specifically request a waitress to be assigned to our table, but she was not attentive at all--we often could not find her anywhere in the restaurant, even though it was not overly busy. We ordered a few appetizers, but only two of the three ever arrived. The nachos didn't come out until about an hour after our reservation time, which is far too long to wait for an appetizer. We also had to flag our waitress down just to take our dinner order. After waiting nearly two hours at the restaurant, we still had not been served our main course and ultimately decided to leave. It was obvious that the restaurant was poorly managed, and the lack of organization and attention to customers made the experience extremely frustrating. When you make a reservation--especially for a special night like Prom you expect a much smoother and more attentive dining experience. In the end, our students were very frustrated with having to wait. One of the students had a hard time waiting and was highly frustrated. We ended up leaving Hapeville Corner Tavern and going through a drive thru and eating in the party bus. We do not recommend eating here unless you want to have a frustrating experience. read more

Came here for lunch with some coworkers on a recommendation. Got seated & ordered fairly quickly. The food took a while to get to us BUT they get some grace because there were 2 bigger parties that were there before us. I got the lamb sandwich with the sweet potato fries. Went here tonight, and the food was amazing! Some of the most consistently delicious food I've had in a while- down to the perfect lemonade that wasn't too sweet or too tart. I highly recommend the spinach artichoke dip. It's rich, and the pita is nicely toasted and flavorful. Food seemed fairly priced also. The vibe is nice too. Wasn't too busy and had a diverse crowd of people with great throwback songs like Justin Timberlake and Luther Vandross. There were also had sack toss games, warm string lights and picnic tables on beautiful green grass outside. I deducted one star for two reasons- 1. Our server was not very present nor attentive at all. In fact, me & my boyfriend made a funny bet that gratuity was likely included in the bill based on the lack of service. We were right though we still added additional tip. He didn't check in to see if we needed anything additional. We had to catch him as he walked by avoiding eye contact every time. 2. We both added avocado to our burgers for an additional $2 each yet received one and two slivers. Not ideal. Still, I'll definitely be back because the food and ambiance were worth it. read more

Variety of bar food is ok since the burning down of the restaurant the prices went up a bit so your paying $12 for a cheese burger so price points $15 to $25 for entrees.
